I spent five years living on the streets of Espanola, New Mexico a poor-poor city not far from Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have this to say, "you can't talk about the bottom until you have been there long enough to cry yourself to sleep in all four seasons of several years, now friend, you have experiences you can share if your still alive". You can tell the 'want'a be's' from the folks that actually lived and died and were given their lives back again by my (you'r our's somebodies) God.
I did not speak English for a long time, therefor I did not listen to country much, still I was listening to Johnny Cash in the early 70ties already, not knowing what he was singing about. now I do understand I have to shed a tear, because I can hear the pain when he perform this song, the purity of their friendship, and I had have such a relationship with my wife, she also past as a remarkable human being just much younger and I can replace the name too, "good morning Marlies", and to "you made it girl" I also wondering who is better off, she or me in these difficult times?

My friend and I took a road trip in '71. Ended up in nashville staying at David Allen Coe's for a few days. We were all sitting around the living room one night and you and Rita and another girl came over and just sat around and we had a good ol' time. My friend and I took you guys back over to the King of the Road Hotel. You and Rita were so nice to us. Always in our memories. Definitely a highlight of our crazy roadtrip. Was 22 then. Am 74 now. What a time. Love you guys.
