This might be a slight exaggeration but he's a modern day Leo Fender.... Started a guitar company from scratch and now he's a peer of Fender and Gibson... That's saying something!!!
@@ConstantGeekery could just make one of your own to be fair , the paint is called mystichrome. ford used it on some mustangs. while hard to get the actual formation its not hard to get one close enough to replicate it.
I didn’t even got why the limitation is even there! There is a car paint like it and wveryone I‘ve showed it to was stunned. Guitars aren’t exactly different to cars tbh
@@ajvc2233 You think? I really have a hard time to gauge the actual money a guitar company makes. What I am certain of though, is that Andertons help PRS in purchasing more models than they needed. I have been on that end, giving calls to customers and asking them to purchase more than what they had ordered, just because we needed to make the numbers...
I met him last April at a Sam Ash store in Cleveland Ohio... really nice guy.. very easy to talk to and believe me, he tells you whats on his mind.... a real character...
Pisk Six I think it’s one of the largest money making days for just about all the companies there at NAMM, I doubt he personally pocketed millions but his company definitely made a lot of money.

I had a conversation with him about PRS guitars pricing range, which was in my mind, completely outside of the market. That was before the SE line. He said that PRS were in line with the market they were targeting. Sadly, not me. But he had a nice gesture when I told him how much money I was making playing gigs.
When Paul sees that, he knows he's hit the mark with a great guitar. Pete will play it, and Anderton's will do a video of it, and they will fly off the wall at a steady pick.
I don’t own one, but I respect what PRS has done and will do as a company. I really believe that PRS is THE reason that affordable guitars are such high quality industry wide. Such a commitment to each guitar being a great guitar. Awesome.

Cool interview! I recently bought my first PRS, a 245 Tobacco Sunburst. A perfect complement to my Charvel-Jackson Model 6 from 1986. PRS is my new favorite guitar brand!

I'm so thankful to have grown up in a generation that the people whose names are iconic with gear are still alive. People like Paul Reed Smith, Les Paul, Floyd Rose, and many others. One day, all of these Pioneers are going to be gone, and all we'll have is their name on a logo. So thankful you talk to these people.

My friend has a prs, runs open Mike at one of the clubs, it plays like butter ,maybe the best I've played in a long time, I'm one of the few he will let play it. I could only afford one of the cheaper prs se,s ,that's what I'm wanting next. I just financed a player plus top HSS strat at guitar center, love it but now I got to get one of these prs silver sky's. they are awesome. I'm 70 years old, been playing 54 years. Prs are awesome. Enjoyed your reviews and interview of Paul .

I bought my PRS because of an Andertons’ video. I got a Seafoam Green PRS Mira Semi-hollow. It definitely was not something I would’ve considered purchasing, until I watched Pete make it sound incredible.
I saw Simon McBride do a pedal show and he was great .He is a PRS player and the model he had gave an incredible tone on a coil split setting. David Grissom is aPRS Player too and he’s a monster ! Paul is a character but above all a great salesman!
By far my favorite three people at NAMM. If you put Greg Koch in there for the grand slam i would be over the moon. I love Paul and think he is a great guy and a great guitar maker. This is the year i own a PRS. I will have to go the SE route but there are plenty to choose from. I also want a Sonzera amp because i just want to plug and play, no pedals required. And i may also end up with a PRS SE acoustic model as well. I have not played one but will very soon. Thanks for the interview of Danish Pete and the Captain Paul. This was great! 😁
Hey Paul! The private stock guitars... Anderton's was originally supposed to have 2 to sell.. and when they picked their wood, you allowed them a third guitar that you selected the wood for them... Don't go blame them for not selling more when you keep making "limited runs"!! 🤔💡

I cringe when I see him turn the knobs on a guitar when somebody else is playing it. He has his flaws like the rest of us. He is a brilliant man and a very nice guy. I met him briefly. His obsession gives us great guitars. You can buy them unseen and know they will be really good.
