Love Paul Reed Smith. Such an interesting character and clearly loves what he does
This might be a slight exaggeration but he's a modern day Leo Fender.... Started a guitar company from scratch and now he's a peer of Fender and Gibson... That's saying something!!!
The look a Paul’s face when Lee told him he could have sold 5000 not 500
the look of a man rethinking how many to do in a run lol
So long as he can just make one more so I can buy one...
@@ConstantGeekery Amen to that
@@ConstantGeekery could just make one of your own to be fair , the paint is called mystichrome. ford used it on some mustangs. while hard to get the actual formation its not hard to get one close enough to replicate it.
I didn’t even got why the limitation is even there! There is a car paint like it and wveryone I‘ve showed it to was stunned. Guitars aren’t exactly different to cars tbh
Paul is such a character. I met him at a show and I’m just a poor guy who owns two PRS SE. He talked with me about them and posed for a pic with me. A great day .
Pete holding that Silver Sky like it's his baby
It's funny because that's how Pete makes Joss feel.
When Paul sees that, he knows he's hit the mark with a great guitar. Pete will play it, and Anderton's will do a video of it, and they will fly off the wall at a steady pick.
I like how Paul makes Pete nervous.
He makes me nervous and I'm not even there.
We see the PRS lay a GUILT trip on DP
I was thinking the same thing. It's pretty funny
@@Singdisorder31 they takes us for fools we watching can spot a FRAUD
from a mile away
He likes to put people on their toes that's why he's the owner of PRS guitars
Paul Reed Smith is quite a character. Difficult to assess.
He probably made a few million dollars that day so he might have been a little euphoric
@@ajvc2233 You think? I really have a hard time to gauge the actual money a guitar company makes. What I am certain of though, is that Andertons help PRS in purchasing more models than they needed. I have been on that end, giving calls to customers and asking them to purchase more than what they had ordered, just because we needed to make the numbers...
I met him last April at a Sam Ash store in Cleveland Ohio... really nice guy.. very easy to talk to and believe me, he tells you whats
on his mind.... a real character...
Pisk Six I think it’s one of the largest money making days for just about all the companies there at NAMM, I doubt he personally pocketed millions but his company definitely made a lot of money.
@@catdaddy57 I did met him once, he usually comes to the Dallas International Guitar Show with his band. He is a no nonsense guy. I had a conversation with him about PRS guitars pricing range, which was in my mind, completely outside of the market. That was before the SE line.
He said that PRS were in line with the market they were targeting. Sadly, not me. But he had a nice gesture when I told him how much money I was making playing gigs.
This was awesome !!! I love when things go completely unexpected and everyone just rolls with it and has a great time. Thank you guys. I have just increased my respect for both Paul and PRS, and Anderton's.
paul: we need to do something special in this video
pete: (tightly hugging the guitar) oh please god, give me this one for free
LOL
Paul is the definition of a guy who needs to start drinking decaf.
?
I have to admit, I have come to look forward to this interview every year/NAMM. Just awesome. Crack on, lads!!! 👍👍👍
I always love these PRS interview videos! Never boring with you guys, just genuine relaxed banter.
I cant wait for a week of New Prs Gear videos this year. So much new products to check out! Loves these interviews too, look forward to them every namm.
3 of my favorite people. I could listen to these guys all day.
Always love to see Anderton’s videos with PRS.
Paul Hogue: yeah, kinda volatile!
I don’t own one, but I respect what PRS has done and will do as a company. I really believe that PRS is THE reason that affordable guitars are such high quality industry wide.
Such a commitment to each guitar being a great guitar. Awesome.
Paul is the coolest dude. You can tell he loves what he does and he is a genius as a guitar maker. Another great Anderton’s video.
I met Paul at Namm 1986 wow he has come along way. You guys at Andertons rock. The video's make it like I went to Namm. Thanks guys, Cheers James.
I am glad you got to share the John Mayer memory with Paul, that is still one of my favorite RUclips Andertons memory.
I've met Paul in the UK a couple of times, he is such a warm and friendly guy, very funny and EXTREMELY knowledgeable about seemingly everything. Great guy.
Fantastic interview, I always enjoying getting to watch the guys sit down with Paul and have a chat.
Watching this while having breakfast (in Australia) and I have to say... you guys crack me, you're all so funny. I always have a laugh watching the banter and comradery, and then with Paul in there it's even better. Thanks a lot guys, you're one of my fave YT channels.
This is the best video I've seen from NAMM2020. Hands down.
Always a joy to see you meet up with Paul!
That grass is dead....ha ha ha. Great vid and the silver sky sounded fantastic. I think we are witnessing the birth of another iconic guitar like the strat and Les paul.
I always look forward to the yearly Paul interviews!
The quality built-in to PRS guitars is the assurance of another 30 years. Congrats, and well done.
I need a PRS!
I met Paul today at a small show he did in Costa Rica. He talked to us about PRS guitars and played a few songs with a local band. It was quite a character and was a fun night. Thanks Paul for coming down to visit us!
Every interview with Paul is absolute gold 👌
Cool interview! I recently bought my first PRS, a 245 Tobacco Sunburst. A perfect complement to my Charvel-Jackson Model 6 from 1986.
PRS is my new favorite guitar brand!
I love Paul! I used to work at a PRS dealer, went to NAMM every year. Been in rooms with him, never met him. What a cool guy!
The Paul interview is always my favourite video from NAMM.
Paul's genius doesn't just revolve around guitars. Luckily for us, his passion is changing the game a bit more every year. He has been chasing down the tone dragon for so long, and it is paying off for us all. Fender and Gibson haven't really been great in as many decades as he has been growing and surpassing them.Thank you Paul, and everyone who is lucky and talented enough to work with him. Just got a 594 McCarty Singlecut, and it was instantly my #1. I can't wait to see what he does next.
Yay! PRS, love that guy!
Maybe the best namm video I've seen this year.
PRS guitars are works of art and I'm looking forward to the day when I will own one.
Some of the best tv, not on tv. Well done all. Only one million subscribers? Come on people........! I am fortunate enough to own two great guitars one of which is a nice little PRS. A fine instrument as well as a piece of art. Best of luck to PRS and Andertons.
Love watching you guys!
What a blast. Paul makes Guitars like a guitar player would. Why I love PRS. Paul is just one more player--with a big toy workshop. Great job Paul!
Eric Gales is one of my all time favs!! Good idea paul interviewing them cause you got them to answer some questions i had! Rock on guys!!
I waited a whole year for this interview to come round Paul your so cool
One of my fav namm vids so far!
Paul's the best Troll, I love him so much.
Best Paul "interview " ever. I can dream of a Silver Sky. Alas.
Love the color of the one Pete is holding. Someday.
Love the paul reed smith guitars hopefully one day ill afford one and what a truly nice guy he is
I love how Paul is so comfortable with Lee and Pete.
Well that was awesome! Let's see if Mr. PRS sends oneof those guitars Pete's way. Again.
Paul’s great. His guitars are even greater❤️
I would say this video turned out pretty good, and different. Well done guys!
Great stuff. Lee and Pete are a fine team 👍🏻
Paul is THE best! You guys are pretty great too. Best part of NAMM for me.
Grass isn’t dead Paul! Just gives us a chance to check in as if we were there ourselves. Please continue doing videos with Andertons as they are my main source of reviews in new gear and what’s happening in the industry. Cheers.
The man, the myth, the legend!
My friend has a prs, runs open Mike at one of the clubs, it plays like butter ,maybe the best I've played in a long time, I'm one of the few he will let play it. I could only afford one of the cheaper prs se,s ,that's what I'm wanting next. I just financed a player plus top HSS strat at guitar center, love it but now I got to get one of these prs silver sky's. they are awesome. I'm 70 years old, been playing 54 years. Prs are awesome. Enjoyed your reviews and interview of Paul .
I love all that humor....you all made my day 👍🏻😂🎸🎸🎸
That was GREAT!!!
Great Un'Interview- Good Thing There Wern't any Drinks Nearby! Paul is Sometimes a Handful! Jus' Stop Pikin on Pete! Blessing's To All Three Gentelman! 🎸🔊🎼
One of the best interviews with/by Paul I've seen! He's quite the character, but this was pretty fun
quite a wholesome interview
This is a pleasant interview with Paul I have to say.. - I guess since they know each other quite a bit makes a good atmosphere... - and seriously, Lee and Pete are just cool cats..
Sometimes I like Paul, other times I can't stand him.
You never know if he is a prick or if he is just yanking your chain... I think he likes do be difficult to read for the common mortal.
But do you get how the Captain is not the same with him? Captain or not?
I've never cared for him or his guitars. Just not my cup of tea.
I always mistake him for Larry David and instantly likes him.
Guy runs a large company with his name on the door. He is now in the same league as Gibson & Fender. Worked his way to this point & employs a lot of people. Good for him he's earned it
I like him - he’s confident but not a deluded arrogant dick. A particular British guitar company owner might want to take note.
Great video. That was a turnaround!
You gotta love Paul Reed Smith!
Paul and the Captain's chats are always fun!
The song Lee was referring to, that Albert Lee played, was 'Highwayman' and it was awesome, and rather moving. Check it out.
BEST NAMM VIDEO EVER!!!!!
Great video! So natural.thumbs up!
Awwww Jeeez guys, boy did I like this. All that divers power, drive and accomplishments in three different guys. LIke 4th of July between friends.
Best video of the event
I bought my PRS because of an Andertons’ video. I got a Seafoam Green PRS Mira Semi-hollow. It definitely was not something I would’ve considered purchasing, until I watched Pete make it sound incredible.
Met Paul a few times, he is own best salesman, his enthusiasm about his products shines out.
Hint, take your partner, after our first clinic and first meeting my wife encouraged me to order a private stock.
I'd love to meet Paul , considering I live in Virginia I should go to Maryland and meet the man . Another great video from Andertons
Hilarious, Paul is so cool! We as a guitar loving community are so lucky to have a builder that is so passionate & will not settle for nothing but great guitars
that is a great video !
Love Paul or hate Paul, he's always a great interview.
caught myself smiling through the whole video like a honey cake horse (german phrase). Well done, Paul!
Awesome video!
When was EJ at Andertons? And Why cant I find any videos? WHAT MADNESS IS THIS??? Great interview.... that was special. Thanks Guys.
I saw Simon McBride do a pedal show and he was great .He is a PRS player and the model he had gave an incredible tone on a coil split setting. David Grissom is aPRS Player too and he’s a monster ! Paul is a character but above all a great salesman!
Excellent fun.
This is so good. Off the cuff, no bullshit.
The change of format was actually an improvement.
To Paul..... Lee is dead right about the Nebula Silver Sky. That color is incredible.
hahaha, this is awesome, "i'm just gonna interview you guys"
Traded a Fender MIM for PRS Tremonti over 8 years ago and I still use it as a main guitar.
Thank you Paul for your passion and innovation and please make a Silver Sky SE!
They should get Larry David to play him in the movie
Prs, total salesman! Love it
I've met Paul. He's a character alright, but he is gracious and kind and a cool dude.
Paul is king, he is trying and he is humorous, his guitars are awesome. For the most part!
One Fender Strat, One PRS Custom and I'm done needing guitars for life. Thank you Paul for your work.
PS. Done needing doesn't mean stop buying. :)
Great interview
LOL, great interview mates !
i love paul.
Great vid.
I’m wondering if every time Gibson stumbles, does PRS pick up share?
I'm so thankful to have grown up in a generation that the people whose names are iconic with gear are still alive. People like Paul Reed Smith, Les Paul, Floyd Rose, and many others. One day, all of these Pioneers are going to be gone, and all we'll have is their name on a logo. So thankful you talk to these people.
Les Paul died in 2009
@@suedeface i know, I was more refering to I was alive in the same time he was.
I have to say PRS's attitude makes me want to buy one of his guitars.
Gotta love Paul. I think his personality can rub people the wrong way but I personally think it isn't intentional. Just who he is. I love how he acknowledged how he interrupts people in interviews
Great fun. Made me laugh!
Wouldn't the unpedal pedal be an a/b box?
This is one of the great videos that is great because of the spontaneity due to the flip of who is being interviewed. I was in music retail in California for 12 years and attended many NAMM shows. So it is a joy to listen you discuss purchasing and customer concerns. Because that is what the show is about.
I stood in the Mackie booth one year just me and Greg Mackie looking at the first 1604 mixer in the #3 hall.
Pete I so knew Paul was gunna ask that to you ha ha your so lucky man Paul is just one hell of a guy and your so lucky to have him give you that guitar but your a good guy to Pete to bad I can’t get one of your purple squires over here in Canada cheers guys have a blast
