This conversation had a real throwback to the earlier days kind of vibe. Obviously things are different over time, busier, priorities are always changing, and life for all of us has taken a number of turns, but the greatest aspect of this space has always been simply enjoying time with two friends talking gear and having a bit of fun. Have a great holiday, see you down the road a ways.
Agreed. Loved the andertons vibe. Just two lads straight chilling in a guitar store having a time. Miss the old andertons days sometimes, was almost a sitcom.
This was fun! Now do one with the captain and danish pete! And Danish Pete with Rabbea And danish pete with Ariel Posen And the captain with John Mayer
@@EarlofBaltimore those are just the people on the show and yes doing a episode with John Mayer is more interesting than doing one with just some random person
I have to say, it had been lost for a bit and I feel it took a while to get 'it' back, but the original spirit of the Andertons vids lies in the chemistry between these two men and it's good to have it back. I like this a lot.
Thanks Rob. Happy Xmas to you and all at Andertons. I had better watch out for that Clause fellow dropping my Wood Library PRS down the Chimney. I hope the Captains team have put a load of protection on it....Mind you I will probably wake up to find it is really a £30 accoustic from that store on a big South American River.
The multiple cuts back to ‘what’s French for page’ may not be humorous to a lot of people. There are those, however, that find it hilarious, and laugh out loud, accidentally spitting out their drink, every time you cut back to it... I’m one of those people...thanks, now I must change my shirt...
Why doesn’t Andertons either have a stock notification on the list of products, or the ability to filter for in stock only? A number of times I’ve been browsing then gone to other stores as it’s just easier to see what’s in stock.
I don’t know whether or not Pete is the one doing the editing, but it brings me joy imagining him behind the computer creating segments like the one at 12:50.
That was really funny. The existential mumbo-jumbo with the piano bits over it was just brilliant. Lee in particular lucked out guitar-wise - those Fullerton S-500s are incredible guitars. Happy holidays, fellas.
Brilliant! I felt immediately engaged and intrigued. A rig picked by chance for each presenter is a great series concept. It'd give people an inherently entertaining education on what gear is out there, including the stuff that typically goes mostly unnoticed by the RUclips spotlight. The chance to hear gear from the roads less traveled being demonstrated by cool dudes, whose playing is familiar, would certainly having me "tuning in" regularly.
I know it’s not strictly related to the purpose of the video but man oh man Lee is getting to be one of my most looked for guitarists. The bloke has feel 👍
I missed these challenge videos, it was great to see these again. Much love to everyone at Andertons, happy holidays from Canada and I still hope to visit the story when I'll be able to
Love this episode. Need to do again. Get a random generator so you can put in the number of pages or the number of items on the page and randomly selected that way
Love this style andertons video! Ive rewatched all the old videos so many times where Lee and chappers have to pick rigs for a certain challenge etc.. Dont see these sort of videos anymore, so it's a welcome surprise. Also, Lees playing on the outro was sublime.. Good job sir.
Captain Lee anderton I must say you came through I mentioned how you don't have those cool shows with the guess what it is pedal and you've done a lot of them lately so kudos for you awesome job love your show.
More sweet content! Merry Christmas, guys! Also - when is the video coming where you build a rig from all of the top rated items you have selected from all of your shootouts??
Brilliant idea! How wonderful that at Christmas you two should be so wonderfully surprised and overjoyed. But that is what Christmas is all about...receiving a gift we dont deserve and they called Him Emanuel, Prince of Peace, Wonderful. Counselor, Jesus! But yes...please do more of these. God bless you all!
Really enjoyed this - keep them coming! Would be better to show 96 products on page and use one dice for first digit and another for second digit. Would get you some more obscure products instead of the top of the recommended products
I love this concept! The idea's great and it will give you a chance to showcase some possibly oddball gear that maybe isn't the newest thing out there. You might even find the right niche audience who would be looking. I suggest you do the randomizer website to choose so the pool goes relatively deep for the next one. I look forward to it!
Rigs of fortune should definitely be a series!!
Yep. Find your happieness against your luck ;)
They should do it annually with gear that came out in that year.
If it becomes a series, each brand used has to be removed from the next episode
Noooo that’s evil :-)
@@RobChappers it is a necessity evil :p Merry Christmas Rob! \m/
@@RobChappers Merry Christmas Rob! And thank you for designing my dream amp, the RD1. Santa's promised he'd get me one, but not yet :P

Yeah and they need get a full set of d&d dice so they can use a d20 for larger sized pages.
Your editing guy is one crazy fella, top notch as always
Seriously. Gatta agree 100%.

It’s weird to see one of these when it’s fresh. I’ve been watching all the old blindfold ones again. Still great.
We've got plenty more on the way over Christmas! 🤘
@@andertons keep em commin ;)
@@andertons Cool, am suffering symptoms of severe lack of blindfold vid nutrition.
It’d be so nice if you could filter by “in stock”. It’s a massive pain looking through 100s of out of stock items sometimes.

Happy Christmas Gabriel... Thanks for tuning in for the episode! 🤘
Happy Xmas everyone!! I hope the bearded gentleman delivers your wildest dreams down your chimney 🎅
Happy Christmas, Rob!
Happy Christmas. The bearded man won't give me what I want but hopefully he gives the kids what they want.
I celebrate it

It was a fun one to film!
Happy Christmas & thanks for tuning in! 🤘
10+ yrs of friendship that had aged like fine wine!!!!! Here's to the next 10 chappers and the captain!
Could you guys demo the MXR Dookie pedal? Preferably with Rabea since he was a fan of Green Day?
We'll see what we can do! 🤘
That pedal is amazing!!! Got the V1 and V2!
From what I’ve herd it sounds great... I just wish I could afford it
@@13StJimmy it’s amazing! I managed to snag a V1 and love it so much; despite being a signature pedal it’s so versatile
Awesome! Next time do it on budget, like gear up to 500 each, then sort by choice of "iPad hug", then choose side and gear.
Why doesn’t Andertons either have a stock notification on the list of products, or the ability to filter for in stock only? A number of times I’ve been browsing then gone to other stores as it’s just easier to see what’s in stock.
Coming soon (like any day now)
Have to agree
These rigs couldn't be more suited if they tried haha!! Merry christmas all!!

Lee's playing at the end was killer 👌 also this should definitely be a series!
when he said "So its not a metal zone?" he died a little inside 😂
You need the Anderson’s wheel of fortune with a “Flying V” for the pointer you must build this.
Or, indeed, the Anderton’s wheel of fortune....
Great video, great to see rob again. Have a great Christmas to all of you.
Jesus, this was awesome! Such great tones. Couldn't ask for a better xmas music related video.
I like this format a lot! Please do make more!

Cool series idea gents. Do it!

Merry Christmas everyone at Andertons. I believe I have some of your stock under my tree courtesy of the other half!
Actually, Robs pedal is giving me serious 80's glam sounds and I love it. Better than pedals made specifically for it to my ears!
