Yuuto's guitar is there oh my god
Epiphone KILLED IT this year. I was about to pull the trigger on a fender but i think im gonna wait out and test some of those out
Wild Cuts I’m so stocked!!!
Same
yep, never cared for Gibson specifically because I can't see value in any of their guitars.... epiphone this year on the other hand, wow, I'm speechless, I'm probably going to pick one up later this year.
I know, right??? An Epiphone Les Paul with the right-(ish) headstock and P90? Fuck me!
I'm a big Gibson fan and I'm so interested in all these Epiphone models that are coming out. Cant wait for these to hit stores
Epiphone. They've done it.
Na, not yet. They need to make SG Jr.
I think the new leadership at Gibson might just bring them back from the dead
Indeed. They done it.
Epiphone are absolutely killing me. I almost went over the edge when I seen the black custom LP had an ebony board. But LOOK at that purple explorer 😍😍 they are gonna get ALOT of sales this year.
I was thinking the same thing about that Explorer. Finally Epiphone is back!
Dude that purple explorer....I almost climaxed.
I’m ready
I have 3 other tabs open right now looking for a new Epi LP!!
I was shopping for a Les Paul, abd ended up with a Tommie Thayer explorer!
I imagine it's quite exciting knowing that you're going to sell thousands of these Epiphones. They look amazing.
Lee and Pete: “We have to stay quiet.”
Also Lee and Pete: “WHOOOOOOOOAAAAA!!!”
I've been seeing all these Epiphone videos lately and I was like, these look gorgeous, and the new headstock? damn... and then I thought to myself, "ehh it's probably going to start around $800 bucks with all the effort they are putting into them".... But Goddammit I think the average price is like $500 between the different lines, and I am sold.
The Iommi SG has John Birch scratched in the pickup . The guitar was modified for him by John, and the neck pickup was one of his Simplux models.
In addition to typical great content, this on camera presentation is far and away one of Andertons best. As much as I love the focused product dems and reviews, I like tagging along for the searching..exploring, less bullet pointed and more intuitive reactions. The Lee and Pete on screen delivery, to me, is the best balance of experience, info and emotional intelligence when articulating their reactions on the Anderton channel . I have more appreciation for these wide eyed first reaction videos balanced with the genuine mutual authenticity of hosts like these two. It makes experiencing something like a NAMM really relatable and not bloated with exhaustive personalities obscuring the content. Thanks you hounds of purple guitars
✌️
HOLY SMOKES! Those Uptown Cats are GORGEOUS! That two-tone is AMAZING! Epiphone is crushing it this year.
@@RUclipsHandlesAreMoronic Me too! Absolutely no need for this guitar except those two colors you mentioned are great.
That green gold? Amazing!
Suuuuper impressed with what epiphone is delivering this year.
17:12 Argonavis Yuuto Goryou Signature Les Paul
that moment when two cool dudes doing an awesome video of guitars to be released, accidentally leaks the release of an idol game's collab merch
That Casino! Gosh!!! Congrats! Great work repositioning the brand bringing great stuff!
Start of video: we've got to br quiet so we're whispering
*3 minutes later*
LOOK AT THAT FLYING V!!
Capn Raccoon They were clapping at 2:11, so....
@Aquatic Mullet they hell you talkin about😂
Yuuto Goryou is a anime character from the Bang Dream boys band franchise. Just an fyi chaps, love your vids
They finally released it (along with Wataru's bass) and it was so expensive that a broke person Like me cant even buy.
Love, love, love what Epi's doing. I own a handful now, along with my Gibsons...now I must own a handful more.
Please do a review of the new PROPHECY models!! Nobody is talking about them and they look so AWESOME!! For me are the best of epiphone this year 🔥
I'm not sure they were supposed to be shown or played 😬
James O They don’t mean that one, they mean the new 2020 model
Yes please! More info on these is needed desperately! Dream guitar anyone?!
The sooner they get that purple explorer in the shops, the sooner they will have my money.
Anybody see that adam jones looking lp?!?!?
My dad gave me an epiphone Sheraton for my 21st birthday, still play it, have changed many things out but it is my Epi! Who wants a Gibson anyway?
3:18 Ho 'omaha in Hawaiian means: to "Rest" or "Take a break". 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Once that Epiphone Alex Lifeson model's in stock, y'all need to re-do Sound Like Rush without Busting.
Oh... there will be busting, just not banks.
Heck ya. Gib, Epi and now Kramer. JC is killing it. I'm excited to see Epiphone getting the love it deserves. They've been wildly uninteresting for years now, and they have great history. And... THEY FIXED THE BLOODY HEADSTOCK! Praise be to all that is good and holy.
i love that kramer went from almost gone to back like the 80s.
Kramer are back since 2015. Check the namm 2015 footage.
@@makaveli9876 Since 2010, and 201 when it comes to NAMM: ruclips.net/video/GjdTUsRsbeE/видео.html
sadly, Kramers suck ass now. cheap parts, boring paint, and the sick ones cost an arm and a leg. Single pickup guitars are everything to me but they sorta killed them.
"I think this is for sale!"
"Even though it says 'Not For Sale'"?
Lol
Skylar H I caught that too and I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt! 😂😂😂
Wow, wow, WOW! What an impressive lineup of guitars! I love this time of year when we start getting the Andertons NAMM videos. So fun!
So glad you guys are stoked on the new Epiphones! They really are stunning, and kudos to Gibson for finally understanding what we all want.
Honestly from where I'm sitting, you guys have the best jobs ever!
Thanks for another great video!
For me it sure beats anything on television! I could watch and listen all day.
On our last visit to the local music store, they had received a bunch of new Epiphones and Kramers. She fell in love with the new colors. Took some pushing to get her upstairs, for her lesson.
The 20s are gonna be the Gibson decade. Absolutely love what they're doing.
Gibson have really decided to kick arse this year... there is literally a Gibson related guitar for anyone, at any price point.
Unless your left handed
@@damianangove7944 They don't make left-handed ES-335's anymore.
My favorite walk-through of NAMM 2020 ! Just like walking through NAMM with two of your favorite
guitar Buddy's ! Epiphone has truly stepped it up !
That Les Paul sculpture is outstanding, gosh I want one!
As a Gibson owner and Epiphone owner, I LOVE my Epi's! Been wishing Gibson would go 24 frets but since Epi's now have them I will be getting a few of those 24 fret Epi's. Love the colors too.
All it took was 2 years for Gibson so completely change their public perception. They're doing absolutely phenomenal from the bottom up. Hopefully they'll return to glory and prominence once again. Keep up the great work.
Always love your coverage. Thanks guys!
Man you guys are so awesome.
Such a pleasure to watch your videos. Some parts of the walk through were humorous as well!
3:15 Ho Omaha is Hawaiian and stands for 'we play authentic'
Ben Antilles
Actually?
@@joemellusi533 yeah. but carefull, If you say it they could sue you
Ben Antilles
Lmao
Joe M fool
gonzo thompson
What
Thanks for the tour gentlemen.
That prophecy line looks amazing!
I was thinking those Epiphones were totally amazing but, for some unknown reason, I've just bought a Kramer guitar...
Awesome !!! I see lots of ephiphone sales in your future
AMAZING, good idea to go when it's quiet. Thanks Captain & Pete for bringing the guitar Disney world into our homes. BRILLIANT 🤘🤘🤘
Your cameraman is hilarious! 😂😂😂 18:14 - " you remove the E from the scratch plate, you wouldn't know " then camera man pans to the Epiphone headstock with Epiphone written 🤣🤣🤣
Lee said, "you lose the E here and don't look here." (referring to the headstock logo) It was hard to hear what Lee said entirely because Pete was talking over him.
Ok Epiphone,I was originally disappointed but those new Prophecies.....I'm sold...
I think y'all might be the only ones to check out the new Prophecy range. I wish there was some more coverage of those guitars! I can't find them on any of the retailers yet either.
Love this video... you two are like kids in a toy shop... couldnt think of anyone i'd rather go around NAMM with!
I love NAMM! It’s like 2nd Christmas.😋
Thanks Lee and Pete, you guys are awesome!
Wow! Saved the best 4 for last. Loving what theyve done with the epi line this year.
I found my dream man cave, the Gibson booth at NAMM.
I watch this video several times a day. My boss, who is a luthier, was at NAMM for the entire weekend and somehow missed all the Prophecy guitars. I want the black V and black Explorer. Hope they come with other color options for pickups and hardware.
Wow, Epiphone is killing it witht these finishes. Amazing!
Leo Scala makes the guitars Richard fortus from guns n roses used should definitely check out his stuff. His vented top guitars seem killer!!
I will 100% be getting the purple Epi Explorer. That looked fantastic!
I wasn't all that impressed with this 'Inspired By' collection until watching you guys geek out over them. Unfortunately for me I bought many of these last year and paid 3X's the price, if I'd known I would have waited a year. I will still get the Epiphone '61 Maestro in cherry as I bought a Gibson in a much darker almost black red finish.
Just finished watching this video. You guys just have the best „job“ in der world...
P90 SG's - classic. Randy still lives. Amazed how many V's they still sell.
Nothing really grabs me from gibsons 2020 release. But I kinda figured their 2019 reboot was just going to continue.
Epiphone though... WOW.
Epiphone! Wow, what a collection. Great work guys, thanks.
The epiphones looks fantastic!
an SG with a Bigsby, thats perfection! the Vibrola also looks good but the Bigsby is a classy Vibrato system
Argonavis Yuuto Goryo fans 🤝 guitar fans
Agreeing that Yuuto's guitar is beautiful
All those SGs and Firebird IIIs at the beginning look so freaking beautiful, man, I've always loved the look of the Maestros on those guitars. I think I've heard of that band they were talking about at the end, the Beardles or something like that
I can‘t find the prophecy models on any dealers site. Does anybody know when they going to release them? I really need that Les Paul Prophecy.
Maybe during Summer NAMM?
I can’t seem to find the new prophecy series anywhere, but in this video..
Same, im searching for any info at all
I need to know!
Same here..... Shame cause they're beautiful !!!
lol, same here. Been looking every day for any information but no luck... So stoked about that serie :D
Same here, it's so weird that they haven't promoted them at all!
That V with the Bigsby made me think..."it's got a chastity belt on it!" And with the right 80's themed metal paint job on it...OMG...lolol Love it! 😎🎸😄
Those Kramer guitars! Wow! Beautiful!
The "USA made Casino" at 27:57 is the biggest announcement form Epiphone in recent memory. I can't wait for the official roll out.
lol @ 0:27 - having a pickup selector switch as a light switch is an awesome idea. I think you're onto something!
Great walk through gentlemen!
More Capt. Lee & Pete - less Chappers!
Why is nobody talking about the new prophecy series guitars?!
I felt they were great. But perhaps they're not available yet. Either way it's interesting.
I feel you. That's the line of guitars from NAMM I'm most interested in. I NEED that explorer with Fishman pickups, NOW :D
Was wondering the sam thing, it's not even on their website like the other guitars
Its amazing how everyone ignored them at NAMM! Theres no videos about them beside this.
I guess they probably put the Prophecy series on hold and want to promote the "Inspired by Gibson" line first. This is the only video where the Prophecy series was mentioned. Weird, I know.
Nobody does better guitar product videos than you guys. Danish Pete is the nan.
I have never owned an SG--no particular reason--but I would love one of those TV Yellow ones, but not at Custom Shop prices. So how about a cheaper version please Mr. Gibson? Or an Epiphone would be OK too.
Can we have more info on the Prophecy line? Specs, prices, dates?
Epiphone took one of the best decision in the last 10 years on coming up with the Gibson-inspired range. Beautiful guitars at non-idiotic prices.
11:28 " it's like a 335 for small people" Made me spit out my coffee laughing hard! Best comment of NAMM 2020! I love it.
339s are very underrated and rarely seen anywhere.
As a small person this was my thought exactly. I've been drooling over a 339 for a while.
i get the joke, but once you've played a regular lp the 335 doesn't feel all that much bigger. Was kinda surprised when I tested a 335 against a lp.
purple les paul is love
I am so stoked they brought back the Prophacey series. Litterly the best low budget rock/metal guitars. I'm want all of them.
The new “sound like” episodes are gonna be insane when Andertsons get the epiphones in store
Cant wait for the epiphone modern video, Thats what im most interested in
Captain loves the gold and Dan the green finish !!!!
The Les Paul prophecy and explorer prophecy looked amazing
Phil X has hinted pretty hard that he's now signed on as a Gibson artist, which is pretty cool to think about him demoing Gibsons back in the fretted Americana days to now being endorsed by them.
Awesome!
Please do a squier walk through, too! Need to see that new parallel/paranormal whatever series!
Man. Some really good lookin Epiphones this year
Gotta say it the Thunderbird is just absolutely the coolest looking Bass I’ve ever set my eyes on! Love the new Epiphone Vintage White!
[FTR, I’ve rightly been corrected below. I totally didn’t pick up on the sarcasm. 🤦🏻♂️]. Joe Bonamassa DEFINITELY plays Gibson! One of my favorite guitars that I own is his Limited Edition Epiphone Les Paul in Pelham Blue from 2014 or so. Go watch videos about Joe's "museum" of guitars. He has some great guitars and REALLY knows his stuff.
Ransom Baggins Dude, they were joking, of COURSE they know he plays Gibsons!
@@davidennis1081 LOL!!! You are totally right. No idea why I didn't get that. Thanks for setting me straight. 🤦🏻♂️
I love that they are making USA epiphones. I think it would be bomb to see a USA Wilshire in the PRS S2 pricepoint.
That prophecy series looks amazing. Why is no one covering those. Also how much are thos gonna cost
Yeah, I been trying to find info on that since this video dropped. Can't find anything on them.
This new Epiphone headstock is beautifullll
Gibson and Epiphone are looking really good this year. Epiphone is all around amazing, but Gibson is finally releasing something I've wanted for years. I can't wait.
Good luck ESP - they're gonna have to do something really special to catch up with gibson
Sell guitars for half the price should pretty much cover it don't ya think?
Isnt esp for the metal player? An Gibson for the uninformed?
@@philclarke7712 Selling better guitars* lol
@@JoshPlaysGamez1996 Sorry, thanks for the correction!
Once again, great coverage! Glad you got in before the riff raff!
The late Lonnie Mack's Flying V was among the 20 iconic guitars listed in Rolling Stone Magazine in 2012. Lonnie Mack had the crossbar attached by the music store near Cincinnati where he purchased it so that the Bigsby could be attached.
From Wikipedia:
"Mack's 1958 Gibson Flying V Guitar, "Number 7"
Mack was closely identified with the distinctive-looking Gibson Flying V guitar that first appeared in 1958. When he was seventeen, he bought the seventh Flying V off the first-year production line, naming it "Number 7". Mack, who was part Native American, had spent his youth with bow-and-arrow, and was viscerally attracted to the arrow-like shape of the guitar.[109]
He became one of the Flying V's earliest players, and played it almost exclusively throughout his career.[110] Mack's final album, Attack of the Killer V, was named for it. Early in Mack's career, he added a Bigsby vibrato bar to the guitar. It required mounting a steel crossbeam approximately six inches below the apex of the "V", giving the guitar a unique appearance.
In 1993, Gibson Guitar Corporation issued a limited-run "Lonnie Mack Signature Edition" of Number 7.[111] In 2010, it was featured in Star Guitars: 101 Guitars That Rocked The World.[112] In 2011, Walter Carter, author of The Guitar Collection, named Number 7 one of the world's "150 most elite guitars".[113] In 2012, Rolling Stone magazine named it one of "20 iconic guitars".[114] "

I got the epi lp standard Gibson inspired and I like it much more than my Gibson plays and stays in tune so much better
That Epi 50s goldtop just shot right to the top of my wish list.
Gibson / Epiphone going big w/ some cool new models and colors.
Wow I love the Kramer guitars! Thanks for the video
You guys totally made me feel sad about pre-ordering the Tommy Thayer Electric Blue Les Paul, ha! Hoping it's cool in person! Also, loving that new blue color on the Muse SG!
Like kids in a candy store. I would be too! Great to see a brand like Gibson coming out swinging. Good job guys!
The Epiphone prophecy range looks killer!!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
