Dude your videoes have helped me so much. You are a absolute legend. I've adopted your philosophy into my photography work aswell. Got a callback from NM in cheerleading about "How the F.. did you get those images to look so good" and Instead of being like, no trade secret. I just told them. They were so happy and I am happy to help! Love it!
Thanks for the tut man... The little trick at the end for getting the vocal levels right was super useful. I did read something elsewhere that said to slowly turn down the track and the vocal should be the last thing to disappear but I don't see how that would work.
You are a god! I love you so much! In just this one perfect piece of tuition you have answered every one of my questions. I just can’t believe the way you handled the vocals, so great and thank you, thank you, thank you. Hey! I love the way you have your curved monitor setup, it looks so comfortable and really cool 😎 much love Gary and please more like this if poss?
regarding to the vocals you could have just drag the vocal track directly to built in logic sampler and press flex time from there then use ur keyboard to mark where u want the sample to be. also another alternative could be use splice "bridge" plugin that by defaul follows your daw bpm.(it can double or cut speed in two withing splice following your daw tempo)..you could create an audio track and print the vocal in real time without any latency directly from bridge to a audiotrack
Thank you Streaky For this video .. When recording Vocal, what are the best plugins to hear the sound big, what should i but for the vocal track inserts Preamp, comp eq .? My second question is, do you use WaveLab for the master, and if the answer is yes or no, please mention the reasons I am waiting for a new video from you. When I sing and record for myself, I see the sound is very thin and unsatisfactory ..
Great video ... Yes, everything you do to the mix you have to consider the "mastering compressor" to do it's stuff at the end and if you upload your music on online platforms (youtube, facebook etc.) you have to consider also their " amateur compressor" additionaly pushing your mix down again, making muddy sound, so it's a casino game at the end of all compressing stages, haha. Of course mastering de-esser is a god's tool for any small mistakes at the high end, if you made your vocals and overall mix too bright so you don't have to go back to the mix over and over again ... Nice as always ... :) Streaky maybe you should do another video on how to put your music on youtube so it doesn't go of the rails at the final stage of your production killing everything you did before with youtube's "equal leveling compressor" that sometimes makes your tracks better another times worse. That would be realy nice. :)
Strange question and unrelated to the video, however, does mixing down a track from your daw with the audio 'clipping' (on the master bus) have the same effect as using a hard clipper?
It's absolutely insane that you've got a background track playing throughout this tutorial even when the demo track is being played, when we're having to pay close attention to the changes being made. Please please for future videos, never use background music, it's pointless, annoying, distracting and actually hinders the learning process. Other than that, many thanks for you content.
This also shows you how to find vocals and make them work in your production…🙏
Hi Streaky, loving the tutorials! Could you do a video on the process of gain staging before mixing if possible please? Thanks!

Don't put background music with tutorials it's a bit distracting.

It’s altogether a really weird video for a professional to make imho, unless this is actually why a lot of house music sounds really crap now
Please make a mastering song or Tips for Instrumental mixing
