To make you feel like you're not alone. I went to a concert with friends in uni (waaaaay back in like 2008) and we went to take a picture in front of the tour bus. This guy walks up to us and offers to take our picture. Me having just gotten the new camera he would be taking the picture with threatened to chase him down and pepper spray him if he ran off with it. He took the picture, gave the camera back, we thanked him and we go on our merry way. We get our seats and the guy who took our picture comes out on stage and I shrink in my seat. It's the lead singer for the opening band. To make matters worse I had been listening to his music well before we even bought the concert tickets, but I didn't recognize him. We took a picture with him afterward and he remembered me. Probably one of the most embarrassing moments in my life LOL!!!

If it makes you feel better, I think celebrities love when that happen. I think it’s so refreshing for them to meet someone and they act themselves because they don’t know who they are

I used to work at the Four Seasons Hotel and often encountered celebs, but I'm like you, they're just people...I've never been star struck.
100% Agreed. I initially felt that way at my first convention, but you're right they're just people and once you get past the initial anxiety/star truck etc it's so much different. I actually have several celebrity friends from my all time favorite show, The X-Files, and even zoom regularly and FB friends with a few.
I loved hearing these stories. Had a country singer in Nashville take video of my friends and me outside a radio station (waiting for our other friend to finish with a One Direction VIP event inside) asking us about HIS music. We had no idea who he was and I don't listen to country, so I let my friend who does do all the talking. He posted it on his RUclips channel and I was crucified in the comments for being on my phone and "ignoring" a creepy stranger taking video of me without my permission.
How did you find out about the job/get an interview? Interested in being a PA but not sure where to start!

I’m the same way where I don’t know who anyone is in the celebrity world. If I lived out in LA I would be the person to give a celebrity an hour long wait at a restaurant just due to not knowing who it is
I did exactly that when I worked at Disney. I met Katy perry and made her pay full price and wait an hour and half for a table and then all my do workers were like “dude your savage. You made KATY PERRY wait.” Oh I was like “oh dang, that’s who she was? I’m not a fan so....”

These celebrities shouldn’t get special dinner treatment just because of their status! If anything they could just have a private chef come to their house and serve a luxurious dinner.
When I worked in Toronto, I encountered a few celebrities at various jobs and had no clue who they were either. I met NHL players and a coach, sports commentators, Louis Litt from Suits, a few musicians, HGTV host. All very nice people and so normal! They were definitely anonymous with me 🤣

My 12 yo son of COURSE is obsessed with Millie BB. It’s so great to hear her and her family were sweet 🥰 I live in Atlanta in the area Stranger Things is filmed and he keeps wanting to audition as an Extra to meet her 😂 my friend and I are MUAs and we have some celebrity stories too. Some good, some AWFUL!
My sister worked as a waitress near the studios in Burbank where we’re from and was always yelled at by celebrities for not being given red carpet service - she truly could care less who anyone was lol. She also dated Jared Leto back in the 90’s and broke up with him which I’m pretty sure never happened or has happened to him since lol.
This was interesting! I, myself, have encountered a few unknown artist/celebrities. I use to work at Taco Cabana and one day Raini Rodriguez walked in with her family. She starred in the Disney show called Austin & Ally and the Mall Cop movies. At first glance, I didn't recognize her as I was making tacos in the back lol but then I looked a second time and almost went to go hide in the back 😅 idk why that was my immediate reaction 🤷♀️ I didn't get the courage to talk to her. It's just funny because the coworker who took her order at the lobby didn't recognize her 😂 he said, "no wonder she looked familiar 😧"

OMG girl! I don't typically get starstruck either. I was working artist relations at a music festival in Fort Collins, Colorado called Taste of Fort Collins, and Lovely the Band was one of the main headliners and I worked closely with them! If it wasn't for me helping coordinate that event I never would have known they were famous.

I may be one of the only people who truly get that you ARE NOT faking not recognizing celebrities. My ex boyfriend/nightclub owner @ Sundance Film Festival introduced me to A listers (and a butt load of D list). The only ones I recognized were Brittney Spears & jLo.
Apparently my last home was under a rock b/c I flabbergasted my friends. When the inevitable interrogation convinced skeptics of my ignorance, the “known” crowd had fun with my little oddity that apparently doesn’t exist in LA.

I don't get star struck, even if I'm a big fan. They are people just like us. When I've been to concerts, and people are crying, screaming, passing out, I would just look at them like they are crazy, and wish they would stop screaming so I could actually hear the band sing. My Mom was 15 when she went to The Beatles concert. She said she couldn't even hear them, it was just one solid scream the whole time. She's like me, she wanted to hear them sing, but the damn girls screaming! 😂

I just have always been curious🤔 I also went through a traumatic job experience regarding working for the government ... so I can totally relate to feeling that way😕

I only care about the actors from the few shows/films I Watch and that’s about it so honestly same. I could Work for just about anyone and not care. I Walkef Past Anderson C at my hospital one day some girls ran to him asking him questions it took me like 20 mins later and a google search to realize Who he was( he was nice btw I didn’t talk to him but he greeted them and smiled and talked to them. ( I go to NIH that’s why he was there)
