I have the blue Gorgon, absolutly love it. I think Arrma have been very clever with this design, at first everone thought it was just a cheap low budget truck. The price is brilliant, I think the tires with no foams was by desire & not penny pinching. These very soft tires are so supple they make for brilliant traction, also aids with shock absorption along with some pretty nice shocks. Arrma are onto a winner with the Gorgon in my opinion.
It's genius all the way around, starting with the price and the packages available. It is so timely as well with the tough economy. Give people, beginners and enthusiasts some good ole fashioned upgradeable fun.

Very good insight! I have 8s and 6s vehicles and they’re hard to play with. Expensive and they need so much room and terrain. This cheap rc is a treat and will be enjoyed by many.
Exactly, everyone wants an rc that can go 100mph now, but you have to have the space to use it. I have an ecx amp and my usual bashing spot is pretty small, this truck looks perfect for going into the woods.
I agree for a 2wd monster truck the handling is second to none. Very well setup and balanced. Also the mid air control and the way it jumps is so balanced and composed.

This is another excellent review, as usual. There is a lot of deserved enthusiasm for this truck. I have watched several videos on it. Everyone one likes it. Great value for a basher, thanks for the video. Question please: what's your recommendation for an 18th/24th scale dune buggy with a hobby grade build? Seems like I only find trucks and SUVs. Thanks, Michael
where is this dirt track you ran the gorgon with all those jumps? its one of the things holding me back from getting something like this; don't know where to run them. got crawlers because i'm familiar with linda vista and the barc group, but that's an awesome dirt track.

You can use 3S mate; You need to change the ESC to lipo-mode by swapping the plug. I emailed ARRMA and they said it can take a 3S lipo, no problemo. 👍🏾👍🏾
I, too, was blown away by the truck in every regard and I have more RCs in the basement than I would ever admit but I have a soft spot for these "cheap" RCs, especially 2wd. However, I think you really missed some points to cover: rubber-sealed ball bearings all around and much larger inner wheel bearings to add durability and reduce slop, 14mm wheel hexes, very large (plastic) pivot balls that should last longer than all the tiny ones, and the clipless body really deserves a ton of celebration. My only intrigue is the ESC that is only rated at 25amp and if that is the reason for choosing a 14T motor instead of a 12T. Will it support 12T? It is just as fast as far as speed and acceleration (actually has far better braking too) as my other brushed RCs that have name-brand 12T motors and 60amp Hobbywing or House-branded ESCs.
I forgot to mention the fact even though the ESC is 2-in-1, the transmitter is compatible with Spektrum receivers so you don't need to also buy a new transmitter if you change the power system, you simply need the $25 SLR300. I also forgot to mention the fast servo and servo-saver that is nice and tight so it actually steers the truck to full-lock.
Yes the gorgon is a total overhaul of the voltage line. They improved every weak point on the voltage. Now its a beast for the price! I never wanted the voltage but after seeing all the improvements they made on gorgon and only $40 more i had to get it. They upgraded to a 550 motor, bullet proof transmission, heavy duty 3s driveshafts, no more leaky shocks, better tires, full ball bearings, better battery tray option. Just to name a few.
@@RCReviewChannel I went with an 18 tooth from a 13 with a Traxxas 5000mah 3s. Tires are really stable for what they are. Arrma did an incredible glue job.
@@PeterAlbury-b4l got the new Fury and Vorteks now, are the bodies for them expensive in the US like they are here in the UK, also just found out the kit brushed motor here is £40 as well?

The 2-in-1 electronics is in all Arrma and even $500 Axials now. Wish they didn't do that for sure. Just a bad, bad trend. No foam is not a money-saving thing. @@RCReviewChannel It is a shame about the trend. And you could be right, but I've seen it do much better with higher quality wheels.
