Thanks so much for the vid. With the Element Gatekeeper or Utron hitting the same pricepoint but not being a comp crawler style, would you expect this to blow them out of the water? I think redcat has been firing on all cylinders lately from the lowriders, to the machete, to the COE truck and these comp style crawlers! Kudos to them honestly because these projects I'm sure started like 2-3 years in the making meaning they made all the right moves to make it happen at the right times too! I hope they gain some aftermarket support for these, they deserve it!! Thanks Francis for the continued A+ Content!
Almost bought a Gen9 during the sale a couple weeks ago but decided to wait and see what was coming. I think this one will be my next purchase.
I heard redcat say the storage compartment was for extra body pins, wheel nuts, some screws, maybe for 1 of the thousands of little metal wheel tees we all have Impressive rig none the less
Redcat has a ways to go before they compete with the likes of Axial, Vanquish and Traxxas. Still, a solid performer out of the box and it has tons of potential. A Fusion SE and good tires/wheels being first on the list! Redcat is really making some headway! 👍

Even though this is a LCG, I think it will work well with the hard bodies with interiors (like the Injora bodies). That low transfer case will really make fitting hard bodies low enough to look good. I plan on getting one just for that reason.
Very smart move from Redcat! We need lcg rtr crawler cause not everyone wants to build. My only jab at it is they should make a inexpensive straight axle conversion 💯 Thank you for reviewing this awesome vehicle!!
Fusion is needed. Seems to be a great truck for the price. I would suggest this truck for anyone as well. Nice video.
By the way out the box this is one of the best crawlers not even counting the fact that it's only $300 out the box

Steering isn’t as tight as the trx4.. so you’re saying it’s got the worst turning radius of any rtr vehicle then?
No mention of what battery goes into it. I doesn't work without a battery.
How fast would you say this is? For trail, I’m curious if it’s fast enough or similar to the TRX4 Sport
With the stock motor, it's about 4mph. Very slow and I don't think it's fast enough to do certain maneuvers that require some punch or momentum

I tried to order that Redcat Ascent today and had a truly HORRIBLE experience with Redcat's customer service that resulted in me canceling the order and telling them where to go. No apologies from them, no nothing. Awful experience. I will NEVER own a Redcat product after this.
We need to all shift to redcat team associated or axial or rc4wd and sale our stuff from traxxas stop buying traxxas show them a clear message that we own the hobby not them!
You are basically buying a roller at that price.
Yes, and no experimentation and tons of research needed like many LCG chassis these days. Links, shock oil, clearances are all perfect.
@@RCReviewChannel I should have said a roller with the option to keep the cheap electronics in it for those who can’t afford right away to upgrade the weak points of the truck which represents the lower price.
