Hi Stephen...im new to the property game, in a few months a should have around 250k to invest in around 7-8 properties but with me not owning my owe house & interest rates going up im finding it hard to get a rate less than 5.2% fix over 5 yrs..any idea's. Thsnks. Ian.
Hi Ian, that is a high fixed rate at the moment but is quite good if you compared historically over the last 20 years. Interest rates are going to go up over the next 12 months, possibly more so while it looks bad now. in 12 months time you maybe wishing you had taken it. But yes there is better rates to be had right now. I am not a broker but I assume you have gone to a broker to see how they can assist you best in your financial position. Try another broker who is "whole of the market" and see if they can offer you a better deal.
