6:54 This game did not Require any head sets since I played it once in Florida. It was just a Light Gun game a rather simple one too the Actual Arcade Machines in Quest played alot better than it. They was a Super Hero VR one you stood up with motion wands using a Head set that was really unresponsive Wii Remote like tech. It was on rails and started with you trying to hit a Dog like creature which was hard to do. It had a early 90's Rob Liefeild like look to it and they was near Giant portrait of the characters near by it one looked like maleficent in a 90's comic book style.
2:36 they used to be but now they're found! leaving only 5 episodes from the show's third season still lost and they're from the show's third and final season
A piece of lost media I’m wanting to be found was the 11 lost Roger Rabbit shorts. Basically, after the release of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, 14 shorts were planned alongside the scrapped sequel. Only three shorts were finished and released with the fourth short “Hare in My Soup” being unfinished. 2 known animation cels were found of the fourth short but no footage of the other 10 shorts are known to exist.
Disney wasn't at all pleased with RKO Radio Pictures and wasn't just unhappy with Howard Hughes and his absolute disdain for the company. RKO wasn't going to distribute "The Living Desert" and that was the last straw. Disney decided to establish Buena Vista Film Distribution, Inc. to oversee the distribution of its movies.
I have lost a piece of Disney media. It's an animated Peter Pan "segment", that possibly aired on TV in the 80s, or maybe early 90s. It seemed to be some kind of epilogue to the movie. The Lost Boys were flying back home to their moms, and Mr. Smee was going with them. Smee was swimming in their air, struggling to stay afloat. This "closure" to the story is contradicted by the 2002 Return to Neverland, so maybe it has been buried on purpose. Additional notes: If memory serves, Smee's mom was implied to be still alive in England. If this was not a part of a TV special, maybe it was on a karaoke tape or something like that. If you think I dreamed this whole thing, let me know.
This channel is fascinating! I never knew we have lost so much to time considering how technology is fairly simple to store (VHS, DVD, CD, software, etc.).
Aladdin and the King of Thieves Dan Castelleneta audio. He recorded all the all the Genie's dialog for the movie, before they got Robin Williams to sign on.
Especially if it's media that's banned for having content that wouldn't be considered PC by today's standards, which, yeah, from their POV, I understand, but, on the other hand, the historical value might be worth a look. Case in point: There's a "Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers" episode called "Puffed Rangers" that mostly takes place in China. The original version had Asian car executives speaking in broken English and a lot of jokes and references to Chinese culture. Because of complaints about how racist it was, they made a new version where the car executives' English is more refined and all the Chinese culture jokes are altered or cut. The new version has aired on TV and was released on DVD, Blu-ray, and Disney Plus.
I think the Mickey Mouse Club episodes might have something to do with some of those celebrities' contracts. If they sang in the episodes, they might not be allowed to release them by their current label that has an exclusivity contract? Or maybe they are not allowed to show their likeness at all?
And I loved the 4D rides. I remember going to disney in florida back in probably 96? And going on the "A bug's life" 4D ride and walking through the land they created that had giant objects such as a film canister, a battery, a can, that made you feel like you were tiny. Oh and a giant hose that would mist you with water. It was so cool as a kid I miss it
Great video! Another piece of Disney lost media that has recently had some episodes found is "Legend of the Ring of Fire." It's a really fascinating series that's still being searched for today. If you could signal boost the search efforts through your channel that'd be cool. You deserve more subscribers, I'll spread the word about your channel to other lost media hunters I know. :D
“Music Land” was a long lost Disney film according to #6 and it combined segments from both “Make Mine Music” and “Melody Time” was planned to release in 1955, because RKO got out of the Disney deal and formed Buena Vista Distribution Co. in 1954 and released “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” and “Lady and the Tramp”. After Disney end the deal, RKO was on its last legs and released “The Conquerer” in 1956 when it was under RKO and distributed by Universal. “The Conquerer” with John Wayne was one of the worst movies ever made, and it was one of the last movies that RKO produced. It was shot in a location site where a nuclear bomb got hit. Ironically, “Music Land” fell into obscurity and it has not been seen in the public since 1970, and then got pulled forever in 1985. Unfortunately, there were no bootleg copies or 16mm prints of “Music Land” (1995) exists. If Disney might come across “Music Land ‘55”, it would be a mystery. Prior to “Music Land ‘55”, many of the segments from both “Make Mine Music” and “Melody Time” we’re released separately as shorts in 1953. After RKO died out in 1956, another company known as General Tire purchased the ill-fated RKO in 1955, and then 1959, it was spun off into RKO Teleradio, and in 1959, RKO General became a radio and TV station ownership where it remained until 1991 where it owned KHJ, and WOR for both radio and TV stations during the 1970’s and 1980’s.
It’s crazy how Toy Story not only exists but is as massive as it is, first it was almost cancelled, then the sequel was deleted and if that one backup hadn’t existed, who knows if it would’ve turned into what it is today
I remember teamo supreamo being aired late night on the disney channel a lot back in the early 2000s. If I'd had known it would be so rare I could have recorded it.
Those Dish Disney channel games you mentioned, reminds me of when Cablevision had a barbie channel back in 2008-2015 or so. The zack and cody game looks really similar to a matching game the channel had. I really dont remember any thing else from the channel, and the only other media I can find is 1 youtube video, its a shame that its most likely lost to time
I remember when I was little going to Disney Quest in Orlando Florida located at Downtown Disney (now called Disney Springs). What I can remember was at course the heavy use of screens, like lots of interactive places. There weren’t only VR stations but also places where you could draw stuff on a screen. The VR games I can remember are the Pirates of the Caribbean one, an Aladdin carpet ride game, and also a Buzz Light year inspired game. I’m honestly surprised that these games are lost though.
I only went to Disney Quest once because there was an entrance fee even if you were going to look around without queuing for the VR rides. I remember the Art of Animation station very well. The instructor was very impressed at how I followed along. I later revealed to him that I kept a Disney sketchbook with all the movie characters in it.
This might be a stretch but since the Mickey Mouse club had a Korean spin off with a couple of kpop singers do you think that they can’t release the 90s episode because of licensing? Idk pretty stupid but just wondering
Huh... I'm sure Teamo Supremo aired tons here in Australia when I was a kid. More incentive for me to finally get around to looking through the rest of my old tapes.
My favorite piece of Disney lost media will allways be the recorded-but-never-animated episodes of the cancelled Team Atlantis show. 3 of them were turned into the film "Atlantis 2: Milo's return", but the other episodes featured the Loch Ness monster and a crossover with Demona from Gargoyles.
Around the 90’s disney would have a bunch of weird shows on after 10pm or something like that, can’t remember much about them but never seem to find anything on it?
Idea - Rerelease all the Disney Quest games as a bundle on the major consoles; that's what should've been done... EDIT - ALL the originals, AND sone newly created additions (Inside Out; Haunted Mansion; Country Bears; Tangled; Zootopia; Big Hero 6; etc...)...
Bambi's mom dying reminds me about Chandler on the TV show Friends. Chandler admits he never cried for Bambi's mom when she died because according to him. Yeah it's sad when the artist stopped drawing the deer lol.
4:35 i think I have an old cassette tape from around that time titled music land. The cassette I have was distributed in brazil tho, so I'm not sure if it has the english version
I vaguely remember Disney Interactive, I think I remember it on some of the VHS tapes I used as a kid. I do have the tapes but I don't have the remote to use it (or whatever you need to use it). I don't remember the games or what was on there, I just remember it saying to use Disney interactive, it always confused me and I would let it play so I can watch whatever Disney movie I was watching. Also, I don't remember if my family had a subscription or not, my older sister loves those Disney shows mentioned in this video and she would definitely be the type to play those games. I don't know, I doubt I ever saw them or not.
To make your correction, “Peter Pan” was released in 1953, not 1954, and the title of the movie is “Make Mine Music”, not “Make Music Mine”. #10 is the lost Deems Taylor track from “Fantasia”. As you can hear prior or Cory Burton, the original Deems Taylor audio was included on a VHS release from 1991, and on the 50th anniversary theatrical re-release of “Fantasia” from 1990, except for a brief snippet in the opening to “Fantasia 2000”. The film itself with the Cory Burton dub is on Disney+. I hope if the original Deems Taylor audio will be restore for the film’s 80th anniversary this year, “Fantasia” will be in 4K, Ultra HD, and digital using Dolby Atmos sound system for the home.
I feel like the all new mickey mouse club won't ever get a release because of the ridiculous amount of stars that came from the show and I'm sure disney are afraid how much they'll charge for royalties
Was lucky enough to visit DisneyWorld while the DisneyQuest was still open. The Pirates game was one of the best of the VR games there. The space invasion/rescue one was pretty coold too, since it specifically encouraged the four players to work together between moving and weapons.
I was on the Backlot tour one day when The All-New Mickey Mouse Club was filming. I recall Britney Spears being a name that was mentioned but this was probably 1992 so I don't know. there was a red brown haired girl and a dark haired girl.
I remember playing Disney channel interactive with my dad a lot when I was younger and I would always play the American red dragon game! I only remember these games being small fun games to play while probably waiting through ads 🤷♂️
Yo this channel has some promise, what other video ideas do you have in mind? The presentation on those top 10s is great, and I love the more In depth looks like the cigarettes and valentines video, its reminiscent of blameitonjorge, while still presenting new topics, keep it up!
Disney probably can't release 89 Mickey Mouse club because of contracts and licensing. Justin Timberlake and Brittany Spears are BIG names. There's very likely some kind of royalty owed to the actors. Because the 80s had different acting contracts compared to today. Disney is pretty disgusting when it comes to dodging contract laws and short changing actors.
Here's one that's (mostly) lost. CONTRAPTION. Running from 1983-1988 on DISNEY CHANNEL, CONTRAPTION was the network's first and most successful game show for pre-teens. Team members would answer questions based on Disney's movies in one of four categories: Books, Animals, Heroes and Villains, and Magic (in that order). Each correct answer earned a scoring tile, and a race to each new station earned bonus tiles. The team with the most tiles won a Disney based prize package and computer. The show had veteran game show people working on the crew, and was nominated for a cable ACE award for its look and design. To thus day, only one episode is available online, here on RUclips, is not available on Disney+, and has never been rerun. Considering no other Disney Channel game show was ever as successful, it's surprising that only the one episode has surfaced.
I literally only clicked on this video because I saw Talespin in the thumbnail and it's one of my special interests lmao It's not of much use, but if you'd like to know, one of the reasons *why* it's so disputed over how many episodes have lost voice recordings is because there's often confusion and debate over whether the show's 4-part pilot "Plunder & Lightning" counts as one episode or four, and how many (if any) episodes were in production before P&L went into production. Given how... let's say "unpracticed" Ed Gilbert sounds in the first two parts of P&L (as if he's still figuring out how he wanted to play the character) and how this is pretty much *only* present in P&L, I'd be willing to bet that those are the few episodes that Jymn Magon was talking about. That being said, as interesting as it all was, I still kinda prefer Ed Gilbert and Tony Jay as Baloo and Shere Khan respectively. Screw Jim Cummings, tho.
The developers of the Disney Infinity game did a poll years ago between two characters to see which one people would want to see included as a figure for the game. It was right around when Frozen became incredibly popular, and the two characters were Olaf and DARKWING DUCK! Sadly the timing and matchup meant that Olaf was obviously going to win, and they never did the Darkwing figure. I have to wonder if there's any coding they were working on, or even prototypes of Darkwing that were in the works.
Man, I remember watching Teamo Supremo late at night. I would stay up until 11 pm or waking up at 4 am to watch it. I'm surprised it was in this list and immediately got hit with nostalgia.
LETS GOOOO I actually have memories of something lost media with those dish network games. All I remember from it though is the zack and Cody connect 4 and that my remote control had a “dish games” button. Whenever you tried to click that button it would take you to a snake mini game on a loading screen that lasted a few minutes.
Aw I remember the dish network service... I don't necessarily remember the games that were on there too much, but I do remember that dish had the service.
Disney Quest should’ve lived longer and updated more to match the current trends and with more locations in lots of major cities across America like the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, the Disneyland Resort in California, another Anaheim location, more Florida locations, Chicago, New York City’s Times Square, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Williamsburg, Las Vegas, Houston, etc.!
Ok so I grew up with playing those dish games, my dad and mom played bejeweled or some matching game like that and there was a american dragon game. I remember it's a platform game like mario where you jump plate forms and fight of the bad guys. Hope this helps someone's research
i have so many pics of my family and i at disney quest, we used to love going even though, looking back, it wasn’t probably as fun as i thought it was. that pirates of the Caribbean game always had a super long line. i only got to play it once the few times we went, after waiting like 20 minutes with my family, and it was kind of bad. your experience really depended on how the other ppl on the ship with you did. if y’all all sucked, you would go down. there was also this one game where you got in a rocketship and landed on this alien planet and someone had to steer and the others would shoot the aliens as you tried rescuing ppl from the planet. that was pretty cool
The Country Bears movie, Kronk’s new groove , The Emperor’s new School, Brandy and Mr. Whiskers ,Buzz Lightyear of Star Command are also and House of Mouse are lost forms of Disney media.
I bet the release of the All New Mickey Mouse club is being held back by either Brittany Spears or Justin Timberlake. They'd have to sign off on the release and I bet they demanded an insane amount of money, like rich people are want to do.
Disney once faced legal trouble for their destuction of animation cels. They destroyed many reels and items like props or cast costumes/vests to prevent items from being leaked by employees or auctioned off online. This is why several earlier movies have no tests or sketches like the ones shown in the Disneyland animation studio. Likely, it simply no longer exists. Now, luckily, they favor the vault.
I think i have seen the alternate bing bong death scene on RUclips but it was a couple of years ago so it was probably just me remembering the scene wrong
Well there are 2 cancelled epic mickey games, kinda On was a racing game and the other was a game known was epic donald Sad to see that both were cancelled
I would add the original R-rated version of The Black Cauldron (before Jeffrey Katzenberg decided to meddle with it) and the Kingdom Hearts V-Cast game (which Square Enix had zero involvement with) to this list
It's my understanding that Phil Harris couldn't physically handle the extensive studio sessions for TaleSpin due to health problems and that's what led to the role being recast, not his voice having aged too much. Ed Gilbert did a great job as replacement. (later edit) I forgot to mention why this distinction is important. It's about the quality of the performance. If Phil Harris's voice aged too much then you'd expect there to be lots of audio, but all of it bad. But if Phil Harris had to be replaced for health reasons, then you'd expect there to be relatively little audio, but the lines they did get would have been really good, meaning exactly like the Jungle Book character.
So weird about the All New Mickey Mouse Club, as it was re-aired in 99-00 on the Disney Channel. I know I had episodes recorded to VHS, but those got lost in the several moves I've had in the past 20 years.
I think Disney should do what WWE did, and release the hard to find stuff on Disney Plus in a collection, and use that as a selling point.

It had a early 90's Rob Liefeild like look to it and they was near Giant portrait of the characters near by it one looked like maleficent in a 90's comic book style.
genuinely thankful that i stumbled across this fantastic channel
Funny that tailspin was only on for a season, kid me would’ve thought it was on for years, Disney afternoon was so awesome
It's sad when companies hide their own works like there's so many things that we will most likely never see
Especially if it's media that's banned for having content that wouldn't be considered PC by today's standards, which, yeah, from their POV, I understand, but, on the other hand, the historical value might be worth a look.
Holy moly I played a Pirates of the Carribbean game at Disney Quest with my family in 2000! Still remember it, very cool
this is great! I'm so obsessed with the whole concept of lost media
Wow, I expected this to be a rehash of BlameitonJorge's videos. Well done keeping things original.
Dude! I played that Suite Life game on the games section on the Comcast cable box yearsss ago. Lordie, I feel old. Simple times. Lol
When Don Bluth found out about Phil Harris being unceremoniously fired from Tale Spin, he cast him as Patou in Rock A Doodle
Those Dish Disney channel games you mentioned, reminds me of when Cablevision had a barbie channel back in 2008-2015 or so.
The zack and cody game looks really similar to a matching game the channel had.
I really dont remember any thing else from the channel, and the only other media I can find is 1 youtube video, its a shame that its most likely lost to time
03:45
Video: R.K.O
Me: *nervously looking around for Randy Orton*
I’d never heard of music land and I’m pretty knowledgeable about early Disney history. Interesting stuff, I love Defunctland as well
Who doesn't love Defunctland.
Can’t wait to see this channel get more attention. Good luck!
This might be a stretch but since the Mickey Mouse club had a Korean spin off with a couple of kpop singers do you think that they can’t release the 90s episode because of licensing? Idk pretty stupid but just wondering
Betting royalties to the celebrities is also a factor.
I loved Teamo Supremo 😢 you’re unlocking hidden memories. Great channel ! Subbed
Just discovered your channel! I LOVE lost media, your videos are great to listen to while I'm working! Keep it up!
Huh... I'm sure Teamo Supremo aired tons here in Australia when I was a kid. More incentive for me to finally get around to looking through the rest of my old tapes.
If you're looking for the lost episodes of Teamo Supremo, here's where you'll find them:

You should upload it.
This is the first video I've seen from this creator, but this was good content. I'm going to subscribe and watch more videos.
i remember a phineas and ferb disney interactive game where you were on a raft and had to avoid objects
I feel like the all new mickey mouse club won't ever get a release because of the ridiculous amount of stars that came from the show and I'm sure disney are afraid how much they'll charge for royalties
IDK about u, but Chewie on bass sounds almost dreamlike lmao... like the funniest dream ever...
Was lucky enough to visit DisneyWorld while the DisneyQuest was still open. The Pirates game was one of the best of the VR games there. The space invasion/rescue one was pretty coold too, since it specifically encouraged the four players to work together between moving and weapons.
I swear I remember playing a lilo and stitch game on disney interactive when I was a kid
I was on the Backlot tour one day when The All-New Mickey Mouse Club was filming. I recall Britney Spears being a name that was mentioned but this was probably 1992 so I don't know. there was a red brown haired girl and a dark haired girl.
Great video, but you guys forgot to index the Halyx chapter
I went to Disney quest. That one hit home for me
Disney getting rid of Disney Quest was the stupidest thing ever.
I agree. Arcades, pinball, and VR were coming back. And the replacement was a flop from what I heard.
Do you know what they replaced it with
@@Dr.Vinny05 a stupid nba thing
Damn, that sounds awesome! Wish we had more.
Talking Disney quest and I would love to see what happened the vr/motion rollercoaster ride. It was one you could build it yourself.
I’m mad I only just found this channel now can’t wait to see more I absolutely love lost media
Didn't RWJ start a TV show? It kinda looked like the Nutshack
Or maybe I'm just remembering Your Favourite Martian music videos....
I literally only clicked on this video because I saw Talespin in the thumbnail and it's one of my special interests lmao
It's not of much use, but if you'd like to know, one of the reasons *why* it's so disputed over how many episodes have lost voice recordings is because there's often confusion and debate over whether the show's 4-part pilot "Plunder & Lightning" counts as one episode or four, and how many (if any) episodes were in production before P&L went into production.
Dood, I played that VR Pirates of the Carribean game at Disney Quest when I was a kid.
So Katzenberg was trying to take down Pixar since Toy Story.
4:50 it's an irony how nowdays star wars is owned by disney
Can confirm, that pirates of the Caribbean game was badass
I actually remember playing those dish disney games back in the day
LETS GOOOO I actually have memories of something lost media with those dish network games. All I remember from it though is the zack and Cody connect 4 and that my remote control had a “dish games” button. Whenever you tried to click that button it would take you to a snake mini game on a loading screen that lasted a few minutes.
Damn ur definitely gonna blow up. You only started making videos just 4 months ago and its such good quality already !
Aw I remember the dish network service... I don't necessarily remember the games that were on there too much, but I do remember that dish had the service.
Part of me feels like there was a Lilo and Stich game but it's been years so I'm probably wrong.
@@kammaliek I also remember that but I’m not sure what type it was think a running game???
I watched a bunch of The New Mickey Mouse Club back in the day. I’m surprised that it’s not on Disney+ at least.
I’d totally forgotten teamo supremo but I use to love watching that as a kid
Defunctland's documentary on Halyx was definitely one of my favorites on the channel. It definitely was sad though
Disney Quest being gone is depressing.
I bet the release of the All New Mickey Mouse club is being held back by either Brittany Spears or Justin Timberlake.
They'd have to sign off on the release and I bet they demanded an insane amount of money, like rich people are want to do.
Probably Brittney’s conservatorship or something
Thank you so much for doing this one!!
Disney could easily bring back the lost vr games on current vr devices. Maybe even remake them to be more suitable for modern hardware.
Dude i definitely watched teamo supremo as a kid!
I think i have seen the alternate bing bong death scene on RUclips but it was a couple of years ago so it was probably just me remembering the scene wrong
Well there are 2 cancelled epic mickey games, kinda
On was a racing game and the other was a game known was epic donald
Sad to see that both were cancelled
