I dont know who else will remember these, but there was a chewy candy called Sour Extinguishers consisting of 4 different flavors. The twist here is that 3 flavors - tangerine, lemon, and lime - were sour and escalated respectively in sour levels, but the fourth one - blue raspberry - acted as an "extinguisher" and was extremely sweet to help cope with the sour. They haven't been sold since like the mid 2000s and I miss them. :(
I remember that Quiznos did personal pizzas some time in the 2000’s-early 2010’s. I remember it was one of their kids meal offerings and at the time it came with Silly Bandz.
OH MY ARCEUS, THOSE SCOOBY DOO FRUITSNACKS. (At 3:52 in the video if anyone was curious) THOSE FRUITSNACKS WERE AN OLD CHILDHOOD MEMORY, ESPECIALLY THE NON-TRANSPARENT CYAN ONE. Thank you LSuperSonicQ for re-activating that memory.
I was thinking about them the other day coz my mom works at a school and bought the new ones for her students and I keep complaining about us not having the old flavors/versions anymore lol
I had NO idea something like Wattamelon Rolls existed. If that petition succeeds, I am hunting them down and buying them IMMEDIATELY! That said, like any modern product, I'm sure the formula will have been tampered to the point of having a different flavor.
In the early 2010s, Campbells came out with this Moroccan chicken slow-cooker sauce that me and my family was obsessed with. Even my "picky eater" (actually OCD) younger brother not only ate it happily, but asked for seconds. It disappeared sometime around 2016-2017 and we've been trying to recreate it ever since.
Man, I remember the Boston creme Pillsbury toaster strudels.... They were the best flavor of toaster strudel, and the only ones I'd eat - and of course, they discontinued them. Also, an even earlier nostalgic food in my memory, Kool-aid Magic Twists. Those color changing kool-aid packets. So many memories of drinking that at my grandma's house in the summer.
I had no idea cheese nips were axed! I was enjoying them up until they were discontinued, I just assumed they had none left in stock and my store gave up on them.
I remember a candy from the late 2000’s which is called “Hubba Bubba Glop” it was a gum like candy with fruit flavored jelly inside of it, the one thing that I remember it for was the commercial for it that had 2 animated jellyfish in it
I seen so many 2000s snacks being brought back like oreo cakesters, Smorz cereal, trix yogurt, I'm still pissed that Kelloggs never brought Yogos back. They were my lunch box staple when i was in Pre-K back in 06-07 and they were so damn yummy to me. I loved them so much! 😭 Now everytime i look at these photo's of yogos, i can literally smell it everytime. I really like the smell. I'd be the most excited and the happiest woman ever if yogos are brought back! They are my most favorite nostalgic childhood snack ❤😂
The discontinued food item that most comes to mind for me are those packs of Juicy Fruit gum from the early 2000s where each piece had two different flavors. Varieties included Strappleberry and my personal favorite, Grapermelon. Used to snack on those all the time back in middle school.
@Markiegee55didn't know a Museum like that exists. 😂 Wasn't there even a Version that was dyed red despite the Fact that Ketchup is already red by itself?
I love lost media but didn't expect you to make a video about food, and I never realized how related the two are until now. Whether it's media or food, some stuff disappears and we can never experience it again! This is pretty much the reason why I started my channel. There's so many limited edition flavors of things that might be around in just one country and just for a few months, and then it's hard to find any info on them ever again because no one uploaded a picture or a video. I'm basically just making a snack archive so nothing gets lost.
I could have sworn when I was very young I got a Wario jelly pop from GameStop. Either my brain is making something up or that is another lost Jelly Pop with no pictures online
Not exactly the same, but in the summertime, grocery stores sell a Friendly's Watermelon Crunch Cake that has the same ingredients as you described, with the main difference being that its an a sherbet cake with crunch on the outside. Other than that, the watermelon sherbet with the lime rind is the same, and so are the chocolate chip seeds. I don't know if it tastes exactly like the Wattamelon Roll, but its worth checking your local grocery store's frozen section! They're like 24$, but they're pretty good!
That was such a fun topic for a video! Please do a part 2 at some point! I remember trying Kissables too and not liking them, for the reasons you mentioned. The discontinued foods I'd most like to be brought back are Whitney's yogurt (late-1980s), Snackwells chocolate yogurt (mid-1990s), Tropical Sprite Remix (2003), Diet Coke with Lime (2004), and Cinnamon Coke (2019). I also wish Coke's attempts at a coffee-flavored beverage had lasted: they had Coca Cola Blak in 2006 and Coca Cola with Coffee around 2021-2022.
#1. Are you sure that the Powerballs weren't some kind of store brand that was only available at Shaw's stores. #2. Jelly Belly once temporarily rebranded the Beanboozled line as Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans to promote the Harry Potter movies.
For me it was the Blue's Clue's Kraft mac & cheese. It had macaroni shaped like paw prints and the cheese was dyed blue. I remember eating it in the very early 00s. I miss it!
After not having cheese nips for many years, having them again back in December was absolutely amazing. Brought back many memories and wish I had more.
YES YES YES FINALLY someone else who prefers Cheese Nips! I used to go to my dollar store and you could get a whole box for a dollar. Like damn I havent seen them in a bit but I swear I saw them still at my dollar store, maybe they were just selling old expired stock :[
I really miss the mac n cheese crackers kraft sold back in the late 2000s. They were similar to cheese nips but dusted with the same cheese powder used in the mac n cheese boxes. The tangerine altoids were great too, and the smuckers uncrustables grilled cheese. I also used to get these fudgesicles that came in a three pack, one chocolate, one vanilla, and one swirl. I haven't seem those in probably a good 15+ years.
I don't know what they were called, but my grandpa used to buy these popsicle icecream things. They were shaped like bananas. The outside had an almost jelly/chewy like texture and the inside I think was just vanilla icecream or something. But they were so delicious and me and my brother loved them. But a few years ago, they just disappeared and my grandpa couldn't find them in stores again. Also maruchan mushroom ramen. It was my favorite flavor but after Covid I couldnt find them in stores anymore. Easily the best maruchan ramen flavor imo.
A lot of ones I’d kill to have again, but the top 3 are the Cherry Pokémon pop tarts with the yellow frosting, Nickelodeon slime popsicles, and the lion king popsicles with the gummy bugs inside. Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s.. my god we just had infinite awesome snacks like these. it was crazy
I'll never forget taking a trip from New England to Ottawa and finding SO MANY snacks that were discontinued for us, especially Kadoosie Popsicles! The first gum I even learned to blow bubbles with is a SpongeBob themed pineapple gum that was soft but elastic and kept its flavor way longer than other gums. Never found it again after that one bag ;;
There's only a few that come to mind to me that weren't mentioned: Pepsi Jazz, original Mountain Dew Game Fuel (which had a lot less sugar than the recent iteration they did for Diablo/Halo Infinite), Ritz Bitz Sandwiches Pizza and Smores flavors, and Hershey's Swoops.
Anyone else remember Skittles gum? I feel like I'm the only one who does but I remember it being my FAVORITE gum as a kid. Also obligatory pour one out for Yogos, I loved those things and miss them so bad. Modern yogurt-coated fruit snacks just don't taste the same.
Wow, that Wattamelon ice cream was a memory unlock moment for me. My grandmother also used to buy them a lot for me and my younger brother. As for some other discontinued snacks from the 2000s that I remember, there were these candies called Sour Extinguishers where it would have three flavors of intensity and then one candy that would "extinguish" them. There's also Lollipop Paint Shop that I remember getting once at a gas station as a kid.
That unlocked a memory for me, the extinguishers. I also remember that commercial for the candy where it starts rapidly changing colors until the blue guy saves it. I tried it once but then it got discontinued.
i ate shark bites as a kid around 2011-2012 and (along with the mario gummies) were my absolute favorites, i did stop eating them once they changed the recipe, and i'm so happy i did. sad to see them gone however.
It's probably going to end up becoming discontinued soon, but the Space Dunk Oreos are legitimately the best tasting Oreo cream cookies I've ever ate in recent times, and I'm saddened that it's available for only a limited time
Did anyone else eat the Lego shaped Eggo waffles? Seeing the Waffle Sticks again also brought back my memories of these things. I'm pretty sure that my Grandma would have these and I'd eat them for breakfast when I spent the night at my grandparents house.
Yeah I remember eating the Lego eggo waffles at a friends sleepover party one time back in the day, I also remember the commercial that had the tagline “Lego my Eggo!”
the timing of this video is insane bc just this week i noticed that my favorite brand of canned food discontinued their canned peas. and ive had multiple meltdowns over it (im autistic and that was one of my comfort foods). nice to know im not alone in my distress
as an autistic person myself i feel you, so many of my favorite snacks and foods i remember loving changed and it feels so unsafe to eat them now, im so sorry for the loss of your fave peas
@@imaginary-name yeah T_T my aunt (also autistic) religiously drinks 3 cups of chocolate milk every day and when they changed the recipe of her favorite cocoa her entire world fell apart. it should be illegal for brands to do that or discontinue stuff (joking) (maybe not so joking)
@@imaginary-nameI'm autistic too! It's even worse when they slightly change the formula, or start adding less. They think we won't notice, but I do! Had to give up pizza rolls because they started to put less cheese and sauce in. :(
I would love to see more discontinued food content on your channel! I actually have a video on my channel tasting discontinued foods from 2017 in which most of them have been brought back since then lol except for Surge soda. Thats my most proud feature is that I was actually able to get my hands on a stable supple of Surge. Discontinued foods have heavily been a topic in interest in for years now clearly, I’m always on the look out for any food that has been discontinued. You’d be surprised at how many little corner stores will randomly have a food that is widely considered to be discontinued. Thats how I ended getting Surge. Anyways keep up the good content! Can’t wait to see more 💕
Anyone else miss Kudos bars? It was a granola bar that came in 3 varieties - Snickers, Dove, and M&M, which was the best one. But compared to a regular granola bar, Kudos had a different texture. It was like half granola and half Rice Krispies. Ever since Kudos were discontinued I tried the M&M rice krispie treats as a substitute, but it's not the same. Honorable mention, I had an obsession with trying Jell-o pudding bites growing up, due to seeing the commercial so many times, abd when my parents finally bought them, they were... completely mediocre.
I completely forgot about those penguin-shaped cheese crackers until this video jogged my memory! From what I recall, they were sold under the President's Choice brand in Canada, though contrary to what you said, I found them to be "just okay" and I didn't think they were as good as Goldfish or any of the other cheese snacks I'd eaten. I'm not sure if there were several different companies making these penguin crackers or if we just have very different tastes, but I was surprised by how much you enjoyed them! I also recall eating Yogos back in elementary school and I think I might have eaten Cheese Nips at some point, but I've repressed a lot of my childhood memories so I can't remember what they tasted like, or if I ever ate Cheese Nips to begin with. In terms of discontinued food that wasn't mentioned here, I'd like to bring up the Transformers Animated Eggo Waffles! I recall eating them around the time my family moved to a new area and I started attending a new school, so that might be why I remember them. Anyways, I think they were just plain waffles and it was from eating them that I developed a distaste for maple syrup after discovering how messy and sticky it was. Yes, it's kind of ironic given how I'm supposed to be Canadian... Edit: Something else I just remembered was the Lay's Canada Do Us a Flavour campaign, where people got to send in their ideas for new chip flavours and the most popular submissions would get made into actual, buyable products. I discovered this back in 2013, when my family was on a cottage trip and my dad found the bacon-and-onion pierogi flavor in a supermarket. We ended up getting it and it actually turned out to be really good, so my brother ended up picking out the "Maple Moose" flavour during our next shopping trip. That turned out to be a big mistake as we all ended up hating that flavour thanks to the weird sweet-and-salty mixture, and it took us ages to finish that bag! Come to think of it, I'm not sure if we actually finished it or got rid of it... Anyhow, a year later, I found out that the campaign had returned and ended up getting a bag of Bacon Poutine chips. I can't remember what I thought of it, but I must've liked it since I became an avid consumer of Poutine-flavoured Ruffles several years later. Again, this is something that I previously hadn't thought of in years, but now I'm curious as to how that Bacon Poutine flavour tasted...
I have an extremely obscure one. On an iceberg chart about chip flavors, I saw a flavor called Starfish, but I looked it up, and didn't find anything about it, other than a homemade recipe, a brand called Starfish Market, and a Chicken Feet flavor that is easily mistakable for starfish. I asked the author about it and he said it was a weird memory of his and his sister's. I went back on this topic recently and I'd love to know more about it. FYI, it was a memory from 1980's UK.
I've been looking for the Wattamelon Roll too it hurt deep when i found out it discontinued, but in my research i found that last summer friendly's released something very similar called the Wattamelon Krunch Sherbet Cake. its basically the same thing but cake-shaped and with green colored cookie crunch on the outside. I haven't tried it yet but it looks promising, I'm hoping either one will come back this summer.
part of me has hopes that some of these snacks/food will come back because the "lost" snack I remember from when I was a kid and wanted to come back the most were oreo cakesters. i had them once in like 2009-2010 I think and they were so good I never forgot them, but I wasn't ever able to find them in stores again..... until they were brought back a couple years ago. they taste just as good as I remembered and buy them somewhat regularly now. the only food in this video I think I remember eating were the Hershey kissables but part of me thinks I may be confusing it with another kind of hard shell chocolate candy (that isn't m&ms ofc lol)
PB Crisps were a snack of my childhood that I wish I could get back. They were peanut shaped wafers that were filled with peanut butter. Now they only live in my memory
15:17 i heard a dunkin’ ad on the radio the other day and for a second i was CONVINCED they were bring the pizza back and was so hyped for you. alas, it was some other less interesting food item
The one candy from my childhood that I miss is Wazoo bars, which was a candy coated taffy with sprinkles. I once wolfed down two of those bad boys and a strawberry Nesquik, it made me throw up. Totally worth it.
The one I remember loving as a kid and wish I could try again were the Cheetos twists! Which were just puffy Cheetos, but they were all twisty. I’m sure they taste the same, but as a kid, those were the ones I loved the most!
this is making me think about girl scout cookie flavors that have come and gone. theres def more but i liked the daisy-go-rounds and the thanks-a-lots. i dont know if they are still made anywhere else or if they are ever coming back but i miss the thanks-a-lots cookies the most
Like you, I'd either never heard of, or had never tried most of these. But I'm SO glad you mentioned the Sharks gummie-snacks!! I used to eat those ALL THE TIME as a kid, and I had completely forgotten about them! (and yes, the white ones were my favorite) =D
Something I remembered having as a kid that wasn't in the video was a marshmallow pop that looked like Piplup from Pokemon. I had it around Christmas time in either 2007 or 2008, but these have never popped up since (no pun intended), mainly due to this being when Gen 4 was still brand-new and we're now in Gen 9.
Does anyone remember those Angry Birds candies that came in a hard plastic container shaped liked Red and included a keychain, a bag of candy, and a sticker ? I was so disappointed when I couldn't find them back in 2015. I really hope they bring them back someday. Also does anyone remember these SpongeBob gel candies ? They came in toothpaste like case with a SpongeBob character on the front and each character had a differnet flavor. SpongeBob was Pineapple , Patrick was Strawberry, Mr. Krabs was Cherry, and Squidward was Blue Raspberry. I can't remember well but I think there was a Plankton and Gary candy tube as well. But I'm not sure.
anyone remember the Angry Birds themed foods? I remember there being specifically branded Angry Birds fruit snacks and ice pops, as well as a tie in with Honey Grams.
My boyfriend works as a stocker in Stop and Shop, I showed him this and he has actually said that he has put the Penguin Cheese Snacks in. I guess it varies on location, this is a location nearby Revere, MA.

Him calling Twitter X made me truly realize how dumb that name is. I legit thought he was talking about a person going by X for anonymity. Elon Musk is such an idiot. Back to the video though. The 1 food I wish would be brought back with all my heart is the Timon and Pumba Bug Pops. They were popsicles with mini gummy bugs in them. I ate them every summer as a kid til they got discontinued. Some honorable mentions. Kool Aid Fizzies. You added them to water to have a soda like Koolaid. One random one I can find next to none info on. Is Buzz Lightyear ice cream that had pop rocks in them. My Grandma bought it once and I hated it cause it gave me a bad headache. But thought about it one day and went looking for info and can only find Disney Ice Creams that were similar but also discontinued.
My favorite 'Lost Food' has to be the Sour patch Kids Creamsicle. They've done a few before but I specifically recall the Frozen Dessert Bars as being a standout. I only found them at the end of their lifespan, and tried it for the first time on a rainy bike ride around Newport in 2021 or so. Middle of the rain, during the evening, and my tastebuds exploded. The creamy inside meshed perfectly with the candy bits placed inside, and I was eager to have them again. However I was only able to get them around 2 or 3 more times after before they seemingly disappeared, never to return to store shelves again. My dad had also gotten some online, but they arrived mangled and melted, almost inedible lol. There's some hope though, the Ghost energy drink's Sour Patch Kids Cherry flavor tastes identical to the red shell of the ice cream bar.
You should definitely revisit this topic in a future video, i feel like there's a whole lot to talk about. My own personal favorite discontinued food is Eggo Flip-flops, waffles that were half chocolate and half vanilla. Discontinued around 2008.
Idk most of those brands since I'm not from the US, but here in Guatemala one of the most popular lost food was the "Tortrix Preparado". Basically it was a large bag of corn chips that came with a package of special tomate sauce and a cheese sauce. The bag had a special packaging so you would open it sideways, drop the sauces, close and shake to mix it. It came with a spoon as well. It was HUGE but I think the cost to make it was too high and they stopped selling them at around 2010
Funny story about Yogos lssq. My classmate used to put the damn things her water and call it “yogo juice”. I then followed suit and tried it at home. It was absolutely horrid. Loved Bugles. Was eating them from when I was knee high to a grasshopper up until last year, when they got cancelled. My grandfather used to eat them so I was conditioned to like them from the start miss them dearly. Used to eat lots of these! Also remember on stream when I said I did vaguely remember the Luigi pop? Turns out it was true! As a Canadian lol it’s no wonder why I saw it!! My local mom and pop game store sold those pops! So I guess I’m one of the few to see the “rare Canadian release” lol. My brother even ate the things a fair few times so maybe I can ask him what he remembers of them. I also remember the 3Dee gummies AND pops. They had hard lollipops as well.
Not really food per se, but whenever the topic of discontinued food/beverages comes up, the first thing that springs to mind for me is Dew-S-A. It was a seasonal Mountain Dew flavor for the 4th of July that combined the flavoring of Code Red, Voltage and White Out (which resulted in a light purple liquid, in case you were wondering), and I really liked it. Unfortunately, it's only ever been released twice - once in 2017, and one more time a few years ago. I always check annually around this time of year to see if it's actually getting brought back, and the answer's almost always been "no". There's always next year... Also, cereal straws. God, I miss cereal straws.
My favorite discontinued snack is Strawberry Oatmeal Delights Pop-tarts. I know that sounds disgusting, and it did to me at first too, but it wasn’t really oatmeal. It was a strawberry jam pop-tart that had an oat crumble and drizzle of strawberry frosting on top. They were soooo friggen good! I used to have them for breakfast before school. Some people said they were a little messy with the oats, but I never had a problem with that, and even if so, they were still so worth it! Also I totally agree, I loved the Friendly’s Watermelon Roll too, am soooo sad it’s gone, and would love for it to come back! I very much disagree with your Cheese Nips over Cheez-Its take though lol. Cheez-Its are superior for me and, opposite of what you said, Cheese Nips always had a weird aftertaste to me.
Hi, if you live in the New England area and you have the hannaford's near you, I recommend looking in the snack aisle. They have their own version of the cheddar penguins. I don't know how close he related they are to the originals, but they're pretty damn good.
Some beverages and snacks I remember from my childhood, -Small box variety of Crunch Cereal -A cereal brand that had a shark for a mascot and the cereal was like honey-flavored balls(?) -Watermelon-flavored Fanta -Mirinda Exotic -7Up Mint -Pepsi X (this was an energy drink introduced in 2003, and apparently people died from it due to its high caffeine content)
It's like when the 2010s hit, American society decided, "well, the 2000s are over, time to make our culture as boring as possible." Now here we are, reminiscing.
I remember those cheddar penguins and also have seen cheese nips at the store as I am a Canadian and I also LOVE Mike and Ikes and would riot for them to produce those sour apple ones again! The Jelly pops and yogurt candies were also interesting!

The discontinued food item that most comes to mind for me are those packs of Juicy Fruit gum from the early 2000s where each piece had two different flavors. Varieties included Strappleberry and my personal favorite, Grapermelon. Used to snack on those all the time back in middle school.
How does one 'snack on gum'? 😂
That was my favorite gum that and stride that that I no longer see or discontinued 5 gum
You were a real one if you remembered Purple EZ Squirt.
Back when food companies dared to be experimental. Miss that.
Green better
@Markiegee55 Minky Momo pfp let's fucking goooooo!!!!!
Purple was the best!
Lsq is the only person that can randomly bring up Jersey Mike’s and make it casual
Why? What does that mean exactly?
I dunno man Danny DeVito made Jersey Mike’s look like a pretty dang fun time
i want some i’m hungry
I could have sworn when I was very young I got a Wario jelly pop from GameStop. Either my brain is making something up or that is another lost Jelly Pop with no pictures online
You probably did back during the era before everything was archived online.
There could've been a second series too
wario apparition now appearing in peoples memories
That S'mores cereal from the commercials was the best. I think it still exists today but it's been so hard to find and feels like it's nearly extinct
They still make it by the way
It’s still made but sold in those giant cereal bags at Walmart
#1. Are you sure that the Powerballs weren't some kind of store brand that was only available at Shaw's stores.
#2. Jelly Belly once temporarily rebranded the Beanboozled line as Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans to promote the Harry Potter movies.
I liked the grass flavor. It was strange. But not bad.
@@ByTheStorm worm was just nasty though
I remember there being a dirt one that weirdly worked
I'm pretty sure the Harry Potter ones came first and Bean Boozled was based off of it.
@@ByTheStorm Toothpaste wasn't bad either. It was just an average minty taste.
Hey bro, keep doing god's work, you've unlocked a lot of memories for me and I have nothing from my past, thanks!
I'm a bit too young to have eaten any of this stuff, but it's kinda sad to think about just how many people's childhood snacks have been discontinued.
I still remember the taste of yogos.
Same. Tangy with a creamy finish. I'd eat them again.
Fruit and yogurt snacks by Welch's taste like them
@@CJolieTV thanks for the suggestion.
This episode has unlocked more memories than any other video you have posted.
Every day I crave the Blues Clues ice cream. I want it back so bad.
Thiiiiisssss yesss
The blue cookies with the paw prints, man I miss that ice cream
For me it was the Blue's Clue's Kraft mac & cheese. It had macaroni shaped like paw prints and the cheese was dyed blue. I remember eating it in the very early 00s. I miss it!
After not having cheese nips for many years, having them again back in December was absolutely amazing. Brought back many memories and wish I had more.
Wait are they back because those are better
I’m glad you brought back the childhood videos
YES YES YES FINALLY someone else who prefers Cheese Nips! I used to go to my dollar store and you could get a whole box for a dollar. Like damn I havent seen them in a bit but I swear I saw them still at my dollar store, maybe they were just selling old expired stock :[
Cheese Nips were a lot better
I recently discovered that Knott's Berry Farm products were discontinued, those cookies with the jam in the middle were the best. . .
What no! Next time I see them in stores I'll buy them. Because it may be the last time
What?????
no they aren’t, i just had some of their cookies like two days ago
It's only the jams that are being discontinued. The cookies are not being discontinued.
@@LuMo096 wait, really? Thought it was the whole brand. Thanks for corrections.
Well I guess your lucky I saw your comment because I remember them they were called Wonka banana pops I used to eat them all the time
To be more specific they were called peel a pops
Peelapops were the best!
I REMEMBER THOSE! I also remember this Ice Age popsicle with a gummy acorn at the bottom!
those used to feel so good in my pats
A lot of ones I’d kill to have again, but the top 3 are the Cherry Pokémon pop tarts with the yellow frosting, Nickelodeon slime popsicles, and the lion king popsicles with the gummy bugs inside. Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s.. my god we just had infinite awesome snacks like these. it was crazy
I'll never forget taking a trip from New England to Ottawa and finding SO MANY snacks that were discontinued for us, especially Kadoosie Popsicles!
The first gum I even learned to blow bubbles with is a SpongeBob themed pineapple gum that was soft but elastic and kept its flavor way longer than other gums. Never found it again after that one bag ;;
I remember a sour patch kid gum but I'm not sure if that's discontinued

RIP the burger king chicken nuggets in the shape of crowns and lightning bolts. Those tasted so good and now they are nowhere near the same
😢
I have an extremely obscure one. On an iceberg chart about chip flavors, I saw a flavor called Starfish, but I looked it up, and didn't find anything about it, other than a homemade recipe, a brand called Starfish Market, and a Chicken Feet flavor that is easily mistakable for starfish. I asked the author about it and he said it was a weird memory of his and his sister's. I went back on this topic recently and I'd love to know more about it.
FYI, it was a memory from 1980's UK.
My family used to go to Friendly’s all of time, Unfortunately most of their locations have shut down and many old menu items are no longer offered
Looked them up, sure look tasty!
Shame that got discontinued, reminds me of that candy Jimmy Neutron invented!
The commercial is forever engrained into my brain. For years I couldn’t remember what it was called but I always remembered the commercial
I forgot that was a thing. Along with Wonka donuts
This is why Time Travel needs to be invented RIGHT NOW.
The one I remember loving as a kid and wish I could try again were the Cheetos twists! Which were just puffy Cheetos, but they were all twisty. I’m sure they taste the same, but as a kid, those were the ones I loved the most!
I miss those too
yess i miss those so much! theres a picture of me eating them at my sisters 7th birthday party in 2005, and I've missed them every day since then
Ohhhh yea I forgot about those I loved them even if they were a little awkward to eat
We've reached a point where discontinued food is now "lost"
Never change internet
this is making me think about girl scout cookie flavors that have come and gone. theres def more but i liked the daisy-go-rounds and the thanks-a-lots. i dont know if they are still made anywhere else or if they are ever coming back but i miss the thanks-a-lots cookies the most
Truly devastated when I found out they didn't make thanks-a-lots anymore :( it was my favorite
Have you ever had Adventurefuls?
They're like a brownie-cookie hybrid, and they're definitely one of my favorite Girl Scout cookies.
I miss Thanks-A-Lots so much too.
dulce de leche cookies i miss you EVERY DAY.
But I'm not sure.
stressing over finals currently and your videos have made my days so much better, thank you king!
Me when I the lunch I ate become lost media 😢
Technically true for every meal eaten
anyone remember the Angry Birds themed foods? I remember there being specifically branded Angry Birds fruit snacks and ice pops, as well as a tie in with Honey Grams.
I was a huge LEGO kid back in the day, so the LEGO fruit snacks and Eggo waffles are brief yet fond memories of mine.
My boyfriend works as a stocker in Stop and Shop, I showed him this and he has actually said that he has put the Penguin Cheese Snacks in. I guess it varies on location, this is a location nearby Revere, MA.
twistables, come back to me.
Yes please 😭🙏🙏🙏
I want them to bring these back so I can try them >:| (I didn't exist when those were around I was just obsessed with the commercials)
They just came back you can buy them at walmart
God, so many core memories were unlocked during this video.
surprised that chicken selects weren't brought up
i was so sad when they were taken off the menu
Yogos, Fruit Loops cereal straws, Gushers, and more were extremely nostalgic for me! 🥰
Don't call Twitter "x" man, c'mon. You know better.
“Ummm, actually, it’s called Twitter, not X” - ☝️🤓
true
my god nothing wrong with that
@@fiblz5443 Im with OP, its twitter, X is the most retarded name for an app ive ever encountered, it was called twitter cos u 'tweeted' as in communicating, what do you do on X. do you X on X?? for a platform based on communication it really fucked up when it came to naming conventions. Elons good at a lot of stuff, but naming aint one of em! Space X, X, God id love to see him set up a dating app 'date X' yo, elon, they X's for a reason BRO!
“You know better” what the fuck does that mean? It’s the name of the platform now. Deal with it or delete it like everyone else.
Hearing Shaw's made me remember doing the good grocery trips with my dad on visitation weekends lol. I'm fairly certain they still make them, i just can't have bc allergies, but did yall ever get the little round Chubby sodas? I miss the bubblegum one!!
But thought about it one day and went looking for info and can only find Disney Ice Creams that were similar but also discontinued.
gummy ice pops were so good
Cry about it. X is the new name. Twitter is dead. Go delete it like everyone else said they would years ago lol.
Twitters was defined by it's toxic cancel culture and liberal bias. Let that name die with the rest of it's tainted history.
@@Dakr2000 you can stop copy pasting that everywhere now. The majority of people still call it twitter
Speaking of lost foods. Lost cereal were some of the best. Magix, Hunny B's and the Scooby doo cinnamon cereal from Kellogs were awesome!
Yo, I loved the Sour Patch Kids creamsicle too!
All of the Sour Patch Kids food tasted so good, except for the marshmallows.
@@ZeepAtomic never tried the marshmallows but those bars came and went so fucking fast
@@neonthunder3261 Yet somehow the marshmallows are still a thing.
You should definitely revisit this topic in a future video, i feel like there's a whole lot to talk about. My own personal favorite discontinued food is Eggo Flip-flops, waffles that were half chocolate and half vanilla. Discontinued around 2008.
I remember so many of these. I feel old now. I used to eat yogos with my bestie in kindergarten. 😢
I also remember eating them in Kindergarten at snack time
Idk most of those brands since I'm not from the US, but here in Guatemala one of the most popular lost food was the "Tortrix Preparado".
BRING BACK YOGOBITS!!!
This guy's whole family just sit around and talk about old snacks
Pre-trendy boba tea
Bagel-fuls! Think of a hotpocket, but it was a bagel on the oustside with a cream cheese filling. Kind of a useless idea, but I loved them as a kid!
I was scouring the comments to see if anyone else remembered them! I miss them so bad 😭

-A cereal brand that had a shark for a mascot and the cereal was like honey-flavored balls(?)
-Watermelon-flavored Fanta
-Mirinda Exotic
-7Up Mint
-Pepsi X (this was an energy drink introduced in 2003, and apparently people died from it due to its high caffeine content)

It's like when the 2010s hit, American society decided, "well, the 2000s are over, time to make our culture as boring as possible." Now here we are, reminiscing.
