Great video!! These fly awesome, right with my field points out to 60 yards.
Let's Gooo!! I'm a black hornet shooter and these look 💀✝️
Chea bra! Less get after it
Black hornets for the win. These do look deadly though and every single bevel I’ve shot has been super accurate.
Love the Magnus Broadheads. I’ve shot both the Black Horner Serrazor and the Stingers. These look very good.
I’m excited to try these!
Ohhhh those things are quite impressive! Cant wait to get my hands on some of those bad boys!
Can’t wait! I’ve have enjoyed the quick kills of the stinger. Sometimes they don’t even know they’re hit.
I Hope that, they make them in, 125 Grain,.. Left Handed Bevel for MOST of us, that Fletch with L-H clocking, 3 Degrees, left Helical, W/ 3 Vanes !
Otherwise it's,.. the Stinger for Me,.. BUT I'd rather, HAVE,. These !
Glad to see these. I’ve always had good luck with Magnus, the heads and customer service.
Looking forward to getting my hands on knees and giving them a try. I've always had great success with the buzz cuts and the regular ones like that without the serrated thanks!
Awesome. Ive been using the crimson talon cleaver and these look similar, but probably better because USA
Im happy to see they made these. Im a big fan of 150 to 200 gr heads for my trad set up. Even better they are made in my home town.
I just got a pack of this. Since there isn’t really any review on hunting use other than the great video review that The Ranch Fairy did. I’m putting mine thru the test with real world use and review. Plenty of big hogs on my leases and then I’ll also be using them during deer season.
I shoot 150 stingers , fly like field points just an awesome, Brodhead, can’t wait to try this broadhead!
Great video and nice meeting you at ATA!
Can’t wait to try them…..
Heck of a broadhead!!!
I’ve always liked magnus heads. I shoot mainly traditional bows and can’t wait to try this new single bevel. Sort of wish they were available in 200 grains yes I will add insert weight to get that foc that I want on the carbon arrows but it is harder to add that weight for foc on my aluminum shafts (which I am partial to). Thanks for the review.
Let Magnus know at customerservice@magnusbroadheads.com. The only way more weights and/or left had will be made is if the demand is great enough to justify the re-tooling costs. More versions are all up to the customers.
I bought 6 of your 150gr killer bee serrated (( Solid )) broadheads, can't wait to add these (( Serrated )) to my collection ... 😎🏹🦌🐗 Great Hunting to All ... 😎👍
Very cool, Magnus is a great company, I’m sure these are awesome
Would like to see that black horn sir razor bleeder blade put on that single bevel 150 👍👍
Gonna need a 125 left. Good vid!

Impressive! I'm not the biggest fan of curved blades for resharpening but it looks like a great head. Interesting they didn't use a steel ferrule like the new 150 grain Hornets.
Zero need for a steel ferrule. The only reason the 150 Black Hornet has a steel ferrule is to get the weight to 150 without changing the tooling design.
Cool. I would like to see 150 grain black hornet for crossbows.
We have 150 Black Hornets for 2024 also. I am waiting on the final packaging to do a video.
I’d love a single bevel in 125 gr vented. I used the 4 blade stingers and they’re so lethal.

About time boys!
I like the Magnus stingers. My only complaint is when you remove the blade to sharpen and try to put it back in the ferrule afterwards there's a lot of slop in the alignment which makes it a pain to get them to spin perfectly. Always a slight wobble even on the heads that only go into a foam target.
I have done sharpening and reassembly how to videos on the Magnus YT channel.
Excellent!!
I just got new arrows too.😊
Heavier options, please!! 250 grain would be great! You’d gain a lot of us trad archers as customers with heavier options.

Well, Crap! Looks like I'll be buying new broadheads. Great video Mr Craig. "in case you go concrete block hunting" That made me chuckle.
Wow can’t wait to put some of those into concrete blocks for myself! I love smoked backstraps from those blocks 👍😁🤣😂🤪🏹🎯
Looks very Crimson Talon Cleaver like, which from using, I know are super lethal.
I'm gonna order some 150gr now.... but I'm adding this. ... please make a 125gr
Email customerservice@magnusbroadheads.com and make your request known. It all depends on the demand. Tooling costs for different weights is expensive and only justified by demand.
Yes sir
I'd really like to have the 100 grain option!
That will not happen with our single bevel head. To go down in weight would mean that we would have to either make the blade thinner or vent the blades, possible both. Either of these would compromise the structural integrity of the blade. The twisting action of a single bevel as it penetrates a medium, especially something hard like bone, induces high torsional forces on the blades, thus we have to stick with a thick blade material. If anything we will only go up in weight on future versions. But 150 will always be the lightest that we offer in a single bevel.
@@NewDayOutdoors I see. I'd like to see a double bevel version as well, maybe that would allow it to drop down to 125 at least
Nasty!!!
I had figured they were going to be wider then 1 inch, as I just built some arrows with 75 gr inserts for the 100 gr stingers and busscuts, my bad for not waiting. But you can always through a pack of them out the door for e after you leave the ATA show and cross the Missouri river into St. Charles on the way back to Kansas
Width is a function of the materials used and blade thickness, relative to a desired weight. 150 gr was the target that people seemed to be asking for. We wanted to make a head that was durable, so we went with the 59 thousandths like our Black Hornets. The end result when looking at the approach angle of the blade that we wanted was a 1-inch wide blade. If we went wider, then we would have had to reduce the blade thickness or provided vents, both of which do not work well with the torsional forces that occur in a single bevel. In the future ... one possibility would be to go to say a 200 gr option. In that case it would likely be achieved by a combination of a steel ferrule and a wider cutting (aka larger overall) blade. But time will tell.
The best thing to do if you want to see more versions of this head is to email customerservice@magnusbroadheads.com and provide some input. Over time, as we evaluate what the common requests are, we may introduce more versions of the head. The demand has to be there to justify the engineering, R&D, and re-tooling costs. Producing a new head or new variant of an existing head is expensive and sales have to justify it.
@@NewDayOutdoors like I said I figured they would be wider so I built arrows for the 100 gr stingers as did not want a wide head
Easy to sharpen and good weight, right through bone baby
Derek, how do the new Magnus single bevel 150 broad heads fly? Did you have to tune your bow to the broadhead or did they fly straight right out of the package like the Black Hornets? I love Magnus Black Hornet broadheads, but would like to know how these new broad heads fly before I purchase a set.
I can literally just swap between a field tip and any of our other heads and to a single bevel with no issues. They fly great. Same assembly process with the tip to ferrule centerline at 0.003".
How will these fly with my Excalibur crossbow? I've been shooting Crimson Talon Crocks but I'm hearing a lot of positive info on these
Yes they will fly out of your crossbow
Any idea when the serrated version will be released?
It is available now
@@NewDayOutdoors I’ll have them by this weekend!! Thanks so much
Make a left and it’s bought, exactly what I’m looking for
Let Magnus know at customerservice@magnusbroadheads.com. The only way more weights and/or left had will be made is if the demand is great enough to justify the re-tooling costs. More versions is all up to the customers.
Since many people use inserts for forward weight why wouldn't you offer this head in 100 grains? I have a couple bent tips on Magnus Stingers and would be interested in trying this head.
It isn't that simple. Due to the rotation forces on a single bevel, we have to make the blades out of thicker material, similar to the Black Hornet. The Stinger lineup is thinner main blades and the torsion of a single bevel would destroy the blade. If we tried to make the single bevel in a 100 and keep the thickness, then the cutting width would be very narrow. It ends up being a material thing trying to find the balance between performance and material science. I don't see us ever making a single bevel lighter than 150. We might go heavier or left hand or design a bleeder blade version ... if the demand is great enough to justify the tooling and design costs.
When should these be available to order through Magnus dealers? Thanks!
After ATA this week.
Interesting blades. I currently shoot 150gr Stringers and have had great success on deer. Any advantage to switching to these single-bevels?
It all depends on what you want your head to do. The principle of the single bevel is that it rotates as it cuts, both bone and soft tissue. The twist in heavy bone helps split the bone. The twist in soft tissue theoretically results in more cutting and damage. The quantifiable amount of this action is subjective. The Stinger on the the other hand will cut straight through and I would argue that theoretically will out penetrate anything else. It is a tried and true proven design. But both the Stinger and new Single Bevel will work very well on deer sized and larger game. The Single Bevel was the result of customer demand. I would have zero issue taking any of the Magnus heads into the field for any game animal.
Glad to see Magnus upping their game but gotta ask why so narrow cutting diameter?? Those of us in the fixed blade camp are always looking for a “Wide” version for max damage. TOTA, Iron Will, Tuff Head, just to name a few USA companies are responding to demand with all steel wide versions. Please ask Mike to go Heavier and wider with an ALL steel versions….Thanks!!!!
Width is a function of materials, thickness, etc. Wider is possible if we go heavier because we do not want to decrease thickness.

Thanks Will do!
Will they be releasing a 125 gr version?
No. We will never go lighter than 150. To do so would require either venting the blades or making the blades thinner to drop the weight. Both would compromise the structural integrity of the blades due to the torsion forces created by the twisting of the single bevel upon impact to dense mediums, like bone.
I hope they make the single bevel in 100 grain weight in the near future.

Dag Nabbit, those are going on the crossbow.
I would like a LH Bevel.

Still can’t find these for sale anywhere…..
We just introduced them at the ATA. That is the first that dealers had a chance to order them. They will start showing up in bow shops in early to mid February.
Cool, thanks for the response.
Need to do a 150 left bevel with bleeders

When are they hitting the market and at what price point?
Dealers were able to place orders last week at ATA. They should be in bow shops by mid-February. MSRP is $55 per pack of 3 heads.
@@NewDayOutdoors awesome!! Can't wait to get my hands on these and do some testing myself. Have been a fan of Magnus since I started bow hunting
When will they be available to purchase?
In the next week after ATA.
So these are only sharp on one side? Or is it just a more pronounced sharp edge on one side?
Single Bevel heads are only sharpened from one side. The result is a twist as the head cuts through the animal.
Howw we would it shoot out of a Ravin at 400 fps?
I have not had a chance to test them out of a high speed crossbow, like a Raven ... yet. I plan on doing so in a few weeks when life slows down a bit for me.
Any chance of magnus breaking into the 200gr range for us trad guys?
Any future weights will all be dependent on you guys the consumers. The demand has to justify the re-tooling costs. The best thing to do is if you want a particular weight to express your interest to customerservice@magnusbroadheads.com
@@NewDayOutdoors I’ve always known the reputation of Magnus in the traditional community and 150gr covers most people for sure.
WHen are these going to available for purchase by the general public?
Dealers will start ordering them at ATA tomorrow. So in some bow shops very soon. They will be on the Magnus website in the very near future.
@@NewDayOutdoors awesome can’t wait
When can we buy these?
For the past week they began shipping to bow shops who have placed their orders. So check with your local bow shop. If they haven't ordered them yet, have them reach out to Magnus and place an order. No minimum orders.
Please please please talk them into left bevel 125g
Saw your comment to another fella just sent customer service a request! Great video!
👍
Wondering if they will consider adding those nasty bleeders like the black hornets on em ?
Some engineering work would have to be done to add bleeders. Then additional tooling. But as always, if the demand can justify the business costs it might be done. The best way to let Magnus know your desires is to email customerservice@magnusbroadheads.com
Awesome.. thank you. With that, is Magnus ever going to make a mechanical head? I shoot the stinger buzzcut and always use fixed but curious about mechanical from Magnus
No mechanical heads likely ever.
I’m ok with that..
is there a price point?
MSRP is $55 per 3 pack
I own the Mi state record for concrete blocks
I wanna buy the broadheads that you advertise, not from some guy named Song Yang Dong!!!😂
Other than accessibility, I'm not sure why anyone would use anything but Magnus...
To bad it's only 1 inch Arkansas won't let us hunt with it.
1" > 7/8" When I look up Arkansas' broadhead requirements it's 7/8" wide. What's the problem?
@@driftlesshunter9200 I thought it was a inch and a 16th I'm glad I will be buying these now
