      i would advise you to look for the option of getting a free trial of Microsoft office and then download it and then set it up and sign in to office 365. i found out when you cannot retrive your office 365 license key you can use office 365 partly and we convince ourself we cannot use office 365 generally however this is not true, it is just we cannot get the full expirence of it, we can use the apps of office 365 in a web browswer. this works, i have tried it recently when my office was not and am now able to use my office.

    If I buy a Buisness Subscription (Standard) as a Code in a Box (in Germany), can I activate the code without adding further payment informations (creditcard etc.) or do I need to add these infos for later, when the supscription ends? In other words: Does the subscription automatically ends after acvtivation wihtout needing to add payment informations?

Just a quick follow up with your concern about an Office business subscription with a product key/ code in box, please know that if you purchased a one time purchase Office Home and Business 2021 (e.g.: msft.it/6057Y3H3Z), you may only use that on one computer once you linked that to a Microsoft account. You don't have to add your credit card information as it is different from a Microsoft 365 subscription that is paid annually (e.g.: msft.it/6058Y3H3w) wherein it'll ask you to link your card information for payment.

    Hello Microsoft team!
    I purchased a laptop back in 2023 and got a preinstalled Microsoft office. After a couple of months of using the apps I faced the same problem. Sadly I didn't get any product key when i bought my laptop. I looked for my product key in the system and when I tried to use the key it told me it was wrong. I was suggested to uninstall Microsoft Office and than reinstall it. When I was trying to reinstall the apps it requested for product key. I have sighed in before it happened but don't know what kind of subscription I have(

      Thanks for confirming. Since you associated your Office 2019 license to you Microsoft account, all you need to do is log in to the account you used to redeem the key originally using this link: msft.it/6050cvBUK , then go to download and install.
      If you run into an activation error, you'll need to follow the instructions in this article: msft.it/6051cvBUz under the section "Activate after reinstalling or installing Office on a different device".
      Please note that you need to uninstall the Office license from the original computer first, before reinstalling it to another computer.

      @@MicrosoftCustomerSupport Well hi there. Yes, I discovered the administrator account and links for setting up the software, but it has locked us out. Our official IT Person had set it up for us remotely. Now they don't even work for the organization any more. I think Office 2021.

      @@MicrosoftCustomerSupport I have indeed written to them to find out who is in charge and hopefully they still have the necessary accounts because we bought a lot of licenses for the school. I find it annoying the freezing of accounts. That's the real reason we are stuck here.

      Since these are university/school issued accounts that you need to have access, may we know if you already tried contacting your school IT department to verify other workarounds available to regain access to it? We ask this because there may be restrictions on these accounts that can be fixed by your IT Admin. School accounts also have different configuration than the regular Microsoft account. Due to account privacy and verification policy, school accounts can be reviewed by your School IT/Admin.
