    I just recently got a 530xi wagon from an auction with the bmw n52 engine, the car wouldn't run smoothly and misfired badly, every single vacuum line was broken, the PCV valve was clogged and the engine was burning oil. I removed the entire intake and rebuilt the unit, replaced the DISA valves and all the PVC lines, heater and valve, runs smooth as butter now. vacuum lines are no joke in these german motors and are such a common issue that i've had at some point on every german engine i've owned/worked on.

    1st things 1st. After viewing countless of your videos, I got to give a BIG APPLAUSE to Mrs Wizard for her EXCELLENT sound editing. Namely, she's balanced the jingles to be slightly quieter than the "live recording". What does that mean ? That means that I can watch your videos in the middle of the night, at a comfortable low volume, and never get afraid that some music will just blast through the small loudspeakers and wake up my son. TWO THUMBS UP!
    And her video editing skills are really remarkable too. It's always CLEAR and well exposed.

    A beautiful car indeed. I like soft close doors too because I don't like slamming car doors. Sometimes, on (most) cars without this feature, I end up closing and opening the door multiple times to get the force just right (not too hard, but not too soft either), which is annoying. But I know what the Wizard means when an unsuspecting passenger slams a soft close door shut. The alternative is to forewarn your companion not to use force, but then you can come across as being a bit of a tosser. Actually, I believe soft close doors are primarily intended for chauffeur-driven cars, so that the driver doesn't have to slam the door on their passenger after holding it open for them (so no warning necessary).

    Gotta pay to play. Problem is, people see the sticker price on these cars when they were new at $250k then see them used at $50k 5 years later, they're thinking they're getting a deal. It's still a Bentley, whether it's 2014 or 2020. Average people can afford to BUY them used, but not necessarily keep them fixed and maintained. The name on the badge hasn't changed. Same for Mercedes. These cars all have horrible used car values which makes them so desirable for people to buy them used. Until they have to do service on them.

    Didn’t Audi and Bentley extend the PCV warranty to 10/120?
    Edit: Also, are you doing the turbo oil screen check valves and screens while you’re in there? They usually are toast by the mileage that that car has, and if they fail or clog, that thing is going to eat the turbos. The parts are very inexpensive, and it’s well worth it to do it while the PCV is out.

      Yeah, but no, it's the exterior that they certainly do not nail. The Wizards would see the wh0re-house light in the hood ornament and they'd say "Oh, how Kardashian." They'd tap the grille and say "Oh, this is just plastic now." Both are connoisseurs, and aware of how far from grace Bentley is falling. They went from catering to the landed gentry to the social influencers.

    with the Montana tags i assume the owner is avoiding Kansas sales taxes through the use of a Montana based ll c that that makes a straw purchase for the actual owner, and thus legally avoiding Kansas taxes. legal but unseemly. every time you see a luxury car with Montana plates you'll know that you probably paid more to register your car than he did. thanks Montana!!!!! every time you hit a pothole you should think of that state whose name means mountain. their motto should be "turning mountains into potholes (for other states) since 1991"

    • @OMGWTFLOLSMH
      @OMGWTFLOLSMH 3 года назад +3

      Some taxes are ridiculous. Where I live it's 12% used or new, privately sold or through a dealership. They repeatedly charge 12% on a vehicle that's been sold multiple times. Straight up fraud if you ask me. If the vehicle is over $55k, you pay a luxury tax too, all the way up to 25% total, depending on value, repeatedly. If the taxes are fair and reasonable, I don't mind paying my share. It's when you get constantly ripped off that irks me.

    • @RevJesse
      @RevJesse 3 года назад +4

      Your complaint relies on the premise that tax revenue paid to the state is an entirely noble, selfless endeavor devoid of any waste, fraud or abuse. Tax revenues are a necessity, yes. However, I would wager that any individual in a position to afford multiple luxury vehicles is already shouldering a tax burden unlike anything someone petty enough to virtue signal over a Montana plate could fathom or will ever face in their lifetime.
