Well, the 2nd option will not work if your screen goes black.

This is quite crazy. Mine just went out last night. I've tried all the tricks and nothing. I was watching it and then the screen froze and I powered it off and now it's just the black screen. This TV is less than 5 years old. Vizio says their TVs are supposed to last between 7 to 10 years.
To the landfill my friend, just gonna break again if u replace boards
My tv shows picture for about 5 seconds then fadestk blacklist glitching, I can't do any of these because I can't see anything

If it's a black screen how do you go to the menu. There's sound coming out of mine I can see the backlights are on but there is no picture. I've tried the unplugging fix and it done nothing, I've tried the input button and volume button for the memory reset and it still is the same. Is it a board needing replaced if so which one I've looked at all 3 boards and there is no burn looking areas and nothing is swelling or popped all the ribbons are plugged in with good connections.
My 40" D40f-G9 did that immediately after my router changed wifi addresses. Black screen with sound. I was able to use a flashlight shining on the screen so I could program the new password. But still have a black screen.... uggg.

I'm having the same issue. And every video I watch says to go to menu and reset. I swear people just want views. I CANT SEE THE DARN SCREEN TO NAVIGATE THERE! Lol

This is really weird bro, my tv all of a sudden goes out tonight. That’s why I’m in here looking to see if anyone else was having the same issue. Seeing that all comments is kinda recent makes you wanna think if Vizio ripped alot of us off??🤔
TV Audio is fine and changing channels works fine. The TV has Black screen and I cant get Menu displayed.

Same! Mine powered off and came back on but just keeps powering off and on and won't do anything else I've tried everything and I've had this tv less than a year no damage never buying this TV again
I've had nothing but bad luck with all three of my Vizios. Regret the purchases with a vengeance!!! 🤬
