My problem is when I put it in park, I can’t take the key out. Now if I restart the engine and put it in gear back it up, or forward turn the wheel sometimes it works and comes out. Has anyone had this happen? I am thinking it’s got to be the steering column lock! Is getting worse I cannot find any information about repairing it. Any help would be appreciated.
Do I need keys to be able to do this? Turned over to "on"? Probably a really stupid question, but I'm trying to get my ex's truck to roll backwards down the driveway, out of my way, so I can get the hell out of here. He left his windows down on his truck which he has strategically parked bumper to bumper in front of my car, blocking me off leaving me stuck in the garage.... he made sure to take both sets of truck keys with him, as well... dont want anyone to think I'm committing a crime aka going all grand theft auto on anyone, just trying to leave.😅😅😅

This works until the spring inside that pushes the pin in the interlock up wears out. Then, replacement of the part is best.

I used Wd-40 and it got unstuck. I should personally replace it though.
