My 1st car was a 1970 Toyota Corona 4 dr.. It had a 4 cyl. 1 bbl carb and a 2 speed automatic trans. Its best time thru the 1/4 mile was 24.30 at 50 mph. It went the entire 1/4 mile in 1st and shifted into 2nd right after the finish line. Never went faster than 50. sometimes 48 or 49 depending on the wind speed and direction.. lol. That Suburban would have had to given me a 6 second head start... LOL
Fun fact: the suburban's engine actually has more power than the mustangs engine. It's just the fact that the suburban is a lot heavier which makes it slower. If both vehicles engines were swapped the mustang would win.
For real. I have a 2002 Suburban, and for a 20 year old vehicle that weighs just over 6,000lbs with my gear, it gets up and GOES. I'll catch myself doing 80 on an onramp sometimes
