On February 3, 2024, a Columbia County Sheriff's deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle due to an equipment violation in Fall River, WI. The male driver was uncooperative and hostile upon contact, with visible bags labeled as marijuana in his vehicle. When deputies tried to open his door, he fled the scene at high speed, resulting in a crash. K9 Rico was then unleashed and embraced the driver, offering a discomforting hug. Upon searching the vehicle, deputies discovered drug paraphernalia and large quantities of marijuana.

It’s unfortunate that our ineffective legal system has decided that holding people accountable for crimes is just too difficult. And look at the effect it has had on the crime levels in today’s society.
wrong color for that.
Gotta love our Unjustice System. They slap the offenders on the wrist, let them go, only for our officers to arrest the same offenders and usually escalate their crimes. We're screwed.🙄

ThcA, Delta 9, Delta 8 are all legal in Wisconsin and federally
@@danthefisherman3996 Doesn't matter because he was banned from ANY intoxicating substances, including legal ones, as a condition for parole. The fact they are labeled makes a strong case that he KNOWINGLY broke his parole.
@@danthefisherman3996 doesn't matter. Has to be in the package it came in(or have that near by to prove it), or there's literally no way that the cops can tell the difference on scene and you'll be arrested for possession. Also, seeing as he's on parole with restrictions to not drink or take intoxicants it literally doesn't matter what it is - it's illegal for him.
Also, delta 9 is NOT legal in Wisconsin or federally unless it meets specific requirements. Delta 9 can be completely fine and legally purchased in one state then completely illegal in another.
Also, there's literally no point in the video where he claims it's delta 8,9 or thca. Or nowhere you can possess 3 POUNDS of any of that legally. Frankly I'm confused why you even brought those up.
I mean he was also transporting it around in a vehicle literally designed for the express purpose of announcing its presence to everyone around it, so what can we expect?

K9 Rico was like "OH BOY IT'S MY TIME TO SHINE". Great job, those dogs are amazing.
My boyfriend was one of the responding officers to a dv hostage situation. Suspect was holding his gf in the house and had already hurt her, so the situation was critical. Negotiations were failing so they made the decision to deploy Jax, a young K9. The guy stabbed Jax fatally. It was a tragedy. The news reports were a bit different than what actually happened. As soon as the suspect stabbed Jax, every responding officer unloaded their service weapon into the guy, successfully eliminating he threat (and anything near it), and the woman was rescued. Well I come out to leave but he was no where in the yard……..major panic set in and I turned around to my patrol car and he had opened my door then his and got in the car ready to go to work. A german sheperd is intelligent, not like a pitbull. And a trained K9 never attacks anybody, only if given the command. You now know it. She doesnt love other children, but respects them and would never bite a human or an animal, only if she is attacked, then she would bite, I hope.

My dog knows many commands beyond the average dog, even to know what left and right means when talking about giving her paws or getting her to heel to either side, etc. Ironically, SHE was attacked by a male Golden Retriever while we were walking around the neighborhood. Just goes to show any breed of dog can be bad in negligent situations and raised wrong.
The thing people also fail to realize, German Shepherds can be aggressive, too, when raised wrong; but they're typically not attractive to the wrong type of people. In fact, German Shepherds, Huskies, Rottweilers, and other such dogs can all be problematic and aggressive when not raised or treated properly.

@@chriscanterbury8647 And if he had just acted normally the cops probably would not have seen the substances in his vehicle.
@@chriscanterbury8647 It's a vehicle safety stop. A rattling exhaust can fall off and cause damage to other driver's cars. All he'd get would likely be a fix-it ticket. Also, in cold country like Wisconsin, a broken exhaust can be indicative of a damaged underside from rust (they salt their roads for the ice). Combine a broken exhaust with a rusted out underside with holes and you get exhaust leakage into the car's interior which can kill the occupants.

My parents had gone out for the evening with a couple and my sister was babysitting my brother and I. We saw Duke jump up and run to our kitchen door which opened up to our garage. He was barking like crazy. My sister opened the door to let him out and he instantly ran into the garage and out the door leading to the outside side of our house. There was a man who had made it halfway over our locked side gate. Duke grabbed him by the pant leg and just held him there like he was trained to do. The man was screaming for us to call off our dog. My sister called my dad's friend, also a Sacto.city police officer who lived a couple of blocks from us. He came rushing over to our house and jumped out of his car and held his service weapon on the would be thief. He gave Duke orders to release and he did. He cuffed the man and held him until another police car had arrived to take him to jail. My parents came home soon after. Plot twist: the K9 is the supervisor
In the military, the dog is always a rank above the handler. That way, if the handler abuses the dog, it becomes assault on an officer.
@@creatureslim That's awesome!
@@creatureslim I'd be dubious that has ever happened. Those handlers and their 4-legged friends bond pretty firmly.
@@r6u356une56neythere's probably been at least 1 dude to abuse his K9. Some guys just don't understand animals, but they want the opportunity to yell "Chopper! Sic Balls!" and unleash a fur missile on someone.
They should rename the pooch 'Supervisor'!!! lol
Sorry for your loss. Post accident it looks like the flaps were at full flaps. Could be from the impact but is worth looking at. I don't think this would be the cause but the fact they didn't pull up I question about any inadvertent mix on the radio or some type of signal loss. That was definitely a full elevator down event. I have to admit I don't think I would have been as composed had it been me. Way to keep a positive attitude.
The editing is hilarious 😂😂
"I want your supervisor, NOW!"
"Meet Sgt. Rico, sir."
I always love when a dog gets to do his job. When he started running, I bet you the officer was like “yes” 😂
Rico looked so cute with his floof, trotting over to sook. He alerted so fast he hit the pavement hard. My K9 acts so tough. People would laugh if they knew he works for his wubbie. 😁
Right, and if I were the suspect, I would be thinking, “Oh SH*T”!!
@@Linda90503 lol same here. If I ever hear a dog barking, I don’t think I would ever think about running.
@@Please_Dont_Call_It_Frisco you have to be a low IQ individual to run on foot when you know there’s a dog near
I actually doubt that. Most of these officers are highly attached to their K9, just like any of us would be with a pet. Every time a dog has to be released to chase a suspect the dog is at risk of being shot or stabbed, a terrifying thought to the officer. The dog on the other hand, not understanding the risks, is probably indeed excited to get to chase.
Love that tire deflater and the K9!
Props to that dispatcher calling out up coming hazards on the road!
Went from tough guy to big baby in the span of 10 minutes.
Well it hurts i can tell you. lots off green and blue arms back past while training
@@ronald3148 What????
@@sassykitty292 Did train them for 20 years so we where bitten a lot with and without the suit. even did some demo"s in civilian clothes. with kevlar sleeves onderneeth the jacket.
It was not enough 😁
Rico was trained in the Netherlands i did notice
Because it's illegal and they better be getting sued. Do you hate your freedoms?
you triggered, bro?@@chriscanterbury8647
I would personally like to thank Matthew for being a life long screw up resulting in my afternoon entertainment watching him getting nom nommed by Rico. Thanks buddy!
& being the crybaby after being caught was the icing on the cake😅
I can relate. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Good boy, Rico~lol
I'm glad your entertainment comes from people's rights being violated. What's the penal code and punishment for a rattling exhaust?
@@chriscanterbury8647 His rights were not violated. Unreasonably loud muffler noises are illegal in Wisconsin. If this brain trust had just cooperated when first stopped, he would likely have driven away with a simple warning. Instead, he added more felonies to his previous ones. But yeah, go ahead and paint him as a victim.
@@chriscanterbury8647 Go cry to your mommy about it.
He had soooo much trouble getting out of the car when the cops asked - and then told - him to, but boy! He sure shot out of his car to flee as fast as his criminally-slow legs could take him! LOL!
Good job Rico, and awesome job by dispatcher!
I always love how K-9 handlers talk to their dog after they do good work. Good job Rico
The doggy is so happy to complete his job, that is so funny and heartwarming 😂❤
Seemed like a real happy puppy! 😊
From a rattling muffler to “we won’t call off the dog til you cooperate”😳
He got his chew toy!😂❤
Excellent job...Rocco!!
That was the most positive passive hit I have ever seen my dad was a k9 officer and we had both a aggressive hitter and a passive
It's amusing how he meticulously labeled those parcels as “marijuana,” as if to remind himself. 😂
They were likely labels from a dispensary. Can't be sure but when the cop said marijuana product it makes me think it was likely vape carts and edibles along with bags of weed. It wouldn't play into their narrative if they said that, assuming I'm right about the labels
@@tiptoeurchin Then he has the biggest allotment I've ever heard of. No doubt, he intended to sell.
@@lizardog didn't say he wasn't intending to sell. I'm just saying he didn't go and write "marijuana" on them with a sharpie. Not saying he's smart, just that they're trying to make him seem even more stupid than he is. Folks commenting clearly think he had labeled them himself and im just pointing out that is probably not the case.
@@lizardog I've bought weed in many states, legal and not. You definitely see dispensary products in states where it is not legal.
They should name a k9 supervisor, and whenever someone demands a supervisor, let the dog lose 😂
the trouble with that is sometimes the suspect has a weapon it could be fatal to the beautiful k-9
@@Ace-ke7fq bro, it's a joke
😂🤣💯
Seems constitutional
That's a good one. It's like when everyone named K9s "Leo" 10 yearS AGO. It got old quick. LOL
The added sound eftect when he fell was perfect.
such patient officers.
The “good boi” gets me every time! Even I smile, so I know Rico is proud of himself too!
Dogs rule!
