    Hello. I have a question.
    Does the PSW-H can supply energy to the loads as following: priority 1) PV and, priority 2) batteries?
    If the grid is available, the priority could be: priority 1) PV, priority 2) batteries and priority 3) grid?
    In this case, if the energy supplied from PV and batteries is enough, the inverter will it run on PV and batteries only?
    And once the PV and batteries do not produce enough energy, will the inverter request the needed for the loads energy from the grid?

      Hello, yes, this can be done in the settings menu of the Any-Grid PSW-H. Menu option #01 (AC Output Source Priority) allows you to set the order in which the input sources are used to supply the AC output demand. 3 options are available for this priority setting.
      Solar - Battery - Utility (SBU)
      Solar - Utility - Battery (SUB)
      Utility - Solar - Battery (USB)

    Hi, we have the Phocos Any-Grid PSW-H 5 kW my question how can I set the system for running without a battery only solar to support the Grid (minimise the Energy cost from the Grid)

    • @phocos-global
      @phocos-global  Год назад

      Hello Thank you for reaching out. According to our technicians A single Phocos 5kW inverter can be used battery free as is in order to support loads with solar as a priority. Please ensure that your output priority in Menu 01 is set to SUB - this will mean that Solar is used first to power your loads, and then the Utility will be used only when solar is not present, or at night. Without a battery, your loads will have no power if the sun is not out and the Utility is down, so we recommend to pair one Any-Cell 5.12kWH LFP battery with each 5kW inverter. For any further questions please reach out to our technical support on our website. www.phocos.com/contact/#contactech

      @@phocos-global Many thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, the Any Cell is sold here in Germany many times more expensive than, for example, Pylontech, Deye, ... akkusystems.

    I would like to know the reason for using 200 AH Lead Acid battery as the minimum capacity with 3/5 KW phocos inverter. Is it because :-
    1. From Charging point of view that the battery charging current from the inverter to the battery cannot be programmed less than 20 A (max charging current for 200 AH battery on normal operation) and charging via solar in case of no grid can damage lesser capacity battery?? And/Or
    2. From Load point of view such the inverter when operating in pure battery backup mode (no solar and no grid available) the minimum capacity has to be 200 AH to cater to 3000 Watt of rated load ??
    3. If my inverter is configured in a way that the connected load on AC output side of inverter is less than 1000 watts (the max emergency load in case of power cut or grid failure) and the inverter is mostly operating in grid feed in mode, then
    a. Can I use 100 AH/150 Ah batteries with the inverter for minimum backup requirement...??
    These are the queries I am getting from clients who want to upgrade their existing On Grid systems to Hybrid Systems and I suggest Phocos inverter for the same.
    The concern of the clients is that adding 200 AH battery adds to overall cost of upgradation since power cuts are minimal, back up requirements are basic and Solar power is utilised majorly in grid feed in mode

      Hello, we sincerely apologize for the late reply. The main reason for recommending a minimum lead-acid battery capacity of 200 Ah is to allow for sufficient current capability in powering the AC loads up to the rated power and the same for charging from PV. All while maintaining acceptable voltage ripple on the battery for good regulation. Choosing a 100 Ah battery is possible if the AC loads are small enough and the charge current is reduced (the minimum programmable value is 10 A), however in such a case it is questionable whether it would not be better to use a smaller inverter altogether. If battery cost is of major importance and battery life expectancy is not an issue (you cannot have both), use vehicle starter batteries instead of solar / deep-cycle batteries. These are cheapest and designed to deliver higher currents, at the cost of life expectancy.

    Hi,
    I'd like to know if this inverter synchronize with the grid. I'd like to connect 5 modules 375W director on a grid.thanks

      Hello, the Any-Grid PSW-H models do have the ability to feed excess PV power back to the grid. The PSW-B models do not have this ability. When this feature is enabled, all excess PV power that is not used for battery charging or to supply the AC output demand will be sent back to the utility. The grid feed-in feature requires a PIN code to enable the feature, please contact tech.emea@phocos.com should you require the PIN code.

    So neither will feed electricity back to the grid like the gird-tie inverters?

    • @phocos-global
      @phocos-global  2 года назад +1

      Hello, the PSW-H range does have the ability to feed power back to the utility AC source. The PSW-B does not have this feature.
      It is important to note that Grid feed-in / injection may not be legal at the site of installation. Only activate when using the public grid as an AC source, else your AC generator and the Any-Grid PSW-H could be damaged. It is the responsibility of the installer to verify that feed-in is legal at the site of installation before activating this feature.
