- This time Tech Talks' coffee machinist Ivan Kuek introduces the new iteration of the Moccamaster KBG Select with honorable mentions for the Moccamaster KBGT and new One Cup.
Singapore coffee legend and star of shower commercials, Leon Foo joins Ivan with Carmen Cheang, to stand these machines up against the wall in an exciting blind tasting.
Is glass better than steel? Does a hotplate turn your coffee into roofing tar? And can the trendy One Cup, really stand up to the company’s long reputation for excellence?

Very nice review, can't wait to see some more content soon!
Great review, thanks
I wanted the select model, however, the only color available is silver. I am still happy with my purchase.....thnx for the review!
Great video
You did a good job on this
This video was fantastic, I love the aesthetic! I hope you begin getting more views and subscribers--you have a new one here!
Hey peeps, would much appreciate if you could share some grinding tips and disciplines for the Moccamaster Select paired with the Baratza Encore!
i wish you had done the taste tests blind
Could the one with the carafe also do a single cup if a travel mug was in place?
That’s my question too!
Update ? 😜
The literature seems to say you need a minimum of 16 oz each brew
@@loo2yoo thank you!
Great review!
I received my moccamaster one cup few weeks ago and love the device but have noticed something unusual. When I add water to the reservoir it drips through the metal pipe.
I have contacted the Australian distributor and they said this is "normal"
Have you experienced this?
I have two Cup Ones and they both do this.
What metal pipe?
have you compared this to the larger moccamaster. I still dont understand if its different or not @@davemcgaugh1118
Amazing, an Asian speaks with Holland (deutsch) accent
Ho lee shit!
That's a Singaporean accent 😉
There is No reason to have Any plastic on this machine....I will not even consider it ...BPA or No BPA.
What's the reason for that?
