yes its awesome. yes you are late to the party.
I watch all of your videos and I’ve put on 2,000 miles in two months of owning my CF Moto 450 in Colorado! Great to see a big time channel giving this bike love!
What do you think about the ergos of the bike?
@@monetda-introverted-guru6376 very upright position overall. The cushion has a divot towards the front - pro: you’re more likely to be upright than forced into a more tucked position; con: groin area is usually pushed against the tank so I’m getting tank grips. I have a friend with a Honda SP2 and he finds my bike much more comfortable - just ya know less fast

I got one of these as my first new bike after learning on a small old Buell, I was looking at all the usual ~400cc bikes even ninja 650 but for the price and features chose this. So far it's been amazing, plenty of power to commute on the highway and comfortable enough around the city too. I would totally let you borrow it but New England is about as far away as could be.
How long have you had it?
Hi. Can I please ask, I've got a new 450 about a month ago and I was wondering do you get a clunk or thud when you change gears? The gear thud or clunk is worse on down shifts. Does your bike do this on gear changes? I've taken the bike back to the dealers twice now and they tell me this is normal. Do you get the same thing?
@richardchileshe9910 depending on the rpm it does seem to 'clunk' sound but most of the time it doesn't feel like a clunk if that makes sense
I test rode this back to back with a Ninja 400 & a Yamaha R3 and I couldn't believe how much better it felt and rode. Even the fit and finish is slightly better than the Ninja400. 3 months since I did a video and I can already see them catching on. have spotted at least 3 different 450SS' in Florida in the past few weeks.
I live in central FL and just got one last week 😊 LOVE IT
Resale value, service locations, accessories, reliability?
Heard about these a few years ago. Glad to see the company is still putting out consistent bangers.
Red China.
@@santiagomatamoros7885 stay mad I guess?
@@santiagomatamoros7885you can hate on their comunist government all you want, I don't like it either, but associating all chinese brands with it is bad, especially when they're not even those that make software like tencent or riot who're going to collect data on you to send to their government with their games or short form video platform. And you might as well hate on apple because I bet you might be using on of their products, there's a high chance you do, and everything apple makes is built in china, a lot of things are nowadays even if the companies behind them are not from china. So get your head out of your behind and maybe look at your country too, if you're in the us you're no better than china, workers in the us are also worked to death, just look at how they banned water breaks in texas for construction workers, before looking at someone on the other side of the fence.
@@santiagomatamoros7885Dang! You need to turn that tv off my guy.
@santiagomatamoros7885 With the way bike prices have been going up in recent years, it's refreshing to have competition in the market.
After 23 years of not having a two wheel mode of transpo, I've been itching to get back. This ride absolutely stirs me in all the right ways!
Man, I'm on the same boat as you. This thing is sick!
Man that thing rumbles like R1CP4 low down .. Not a big fan of any CFMoto, but this thing definitely would make me reconsider my words! Sweet sounding 270 strum...
I never looked at any of their stuff thinking it was bad because it's a chinese brand. But this dude kept praising this bike in this video so I looked more into cfmoto and their beginner bikes and I kinda changed my mind and am impressed a little. First off they offer great features at good prices, and secondly they're apparently working with ktm and they even build a few engines for them. So I'm starting to think they're actually great to buy. They even seem to sell well here in europe and they're even offering a 5 year warranty which is insane since as a beginner here you're limited for 2 years to motorcycles under 45hp or under 90hp with a 45hp limiter in place, so you could get this brand new and much cheaper than any of the current japanese beginner bikes, keep it for 2 years and sell it to the next person who still has 3 years left on the warranty, making it great for resell. Like the 300sr which has been on the market for 2 years is selling 2nd hand for around 3 to 3.5k euros and they all have 3 or 4 years left to their warranties, a new one being only 4k euros, still a great discount and you can put that money towards better gear. And the best thing about these bikes they're selling is that they're putting pressure on the japanese brands to improve, and that's a good enough reason to like these bikes.
@@vali69 Same, I've been a die-hard Honda guy for years but this is seriously making me rethink about getting one of these in the future.
@@wajalama I have a Honda and man it seems like Hondas are the bottom of the barrel in terms of performance and value. Least they are reliable?
@@TheMiniWumbo Bro, I don't even know if I can say they're more reliable than the rest of the brands anymore either. My previous CB300R had some noticeable QC issues when I had it, probably since Honda isn't really making their bikes from Japan anymore.
I guess the only modern bike that they offer that's high quality and good performance would be their CBR1000RR / CBR1000RR-R SP, but those aren't even in the same price range or class lmao
@@wajalama Lol for real, but for a liter bike I might as well look at BMW or a H2 instead. When I upgrade I'll probably end up picking up a CF 450 SS as long as they are reliable
It's awesome that I asked you to try these bikes out a couple months ago and you actually did! I'm considering the ibex 800 as my first adv bike
I bought this bike this past Saturday because of this review and I freaking love it! It's crazy to think I ride my 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa and my CFMOTO450SS and I think I have more fun on the 450 lol...the busa is just too much at times. Thank you for your reviews!

I saw this make and model at my local powersports shop and I couldnt believe the price, especially for the look and technology that this bike carries. It literally is a bang for your buck.
This will be my first bike ever and I will definitely be riding it as a start to climbing up the cc's.
Good highs, good lows! Ride safe, brother!
Been doing as much research as possible on this bike and I’m sold. Thing sounds amazing with the SC Project exhaust too 🙏🔥🏍️💨
Dude, I love the way this thing looks. I'm 6'1 240lbs. I've had a ton of bikes from a ninja 300 to 1000. I never thought I'd wanna ride again but this thing makes me wanna go buy one.
Great review! I’ve just bought the 2024 CFMOTO 450SRS with the single swing arm and I’m loving it! Fantastic first bike! 👍🏼
CF Moto is no joke and has never been.
I hope he tries MT650, or Adventura, w/e is its name over there. I got one and the more I ride the more I love it.
CF Moto's strongest bike is MT800. It has KTM's engine, looks and rides perfect.
Never buy commie motorcycles unless you’re a sympathizer.

I sat on one yesterday and it's definitely a more aggressive feel. I really wanted one, but for long trips it'd crack the back

I'd like to see this in a race track and put to its' paces and see how it stacks up to the RC390s and Ninja 400s etc
I watched a video of this bike winning just about every race against a cbr500
450ss beats them both. Both in accel and top end.
@@SenateKT-uc2idwhat about the handling and suspension?
@@superbarnie Probably its best attribute. it has inverted front forks and an adjustable rear shock. At 350lbs the bike handles even better than my R6. It feels like it was made for the track.
@@SenateKT-uc2id Curb weight is listed at 370 lbs, compared to 360 on a Ninja 400. The forks are not adjustable and the rear is only preload adjustable, no damping adjustment. But I'd expect it to handle better than R6 nonetheless. My ninja 400 does too, in fact handles better than any other bike I've tried except for my supermoto yz450f. I did have to upgrade the rear shock though, as the factory ones are lacking.
Ok... this is getting nuts... is CF Moto going to upset the big 4 for entry level sport bike and naked bike spots? Is the Ninja no longer king of beginner sport bikes? still curious about longevity/durability.... but damn these bikes look really good. crazy times we live in.
It most likely is. In my country this is probably the hottest entry level sportbike out there. The performance and price are off the charts comparing it to other bikes like the ninja400 or cbr500r and even the r3.
@@emmma8321 I honestly hope they do. the big 4 have gotten soft in their old ag. they need something like this to scare them back into a more competitive mindset.
I have to admit I have been fighting with some biases about these bikes... I want to like them because they look really good... but there is the whole "Chinese bike in a box" thing that I'm trying very hard to ignore while I consider these bikes. These seem very different than that. So I'm trying to keep an open mind.
@@joetheagent I work at a large dealership that sells CFMoto along with Japanese brands. The initial quality of CF bikes has been good. Parts availability, warranty coverage, technical help, etc. has been excellent. The customers who have taken a chance on one have been satisfied, myself included.

had this beauty for a month now and totally love it. as a first bike it's just perfect: light, forgiving, linear power, and some cool tech. AMA
How comfortable it is? I really like it, but i want to do a fairly long trip 7300km(4500miles) so I'm not sure if one of these is the best choice due to the stance, is just one trip but it is a long one
@@cassaia7805 even though is quite comfortable I would not recommend it for such long trips as you’re still a bit hunched over. After two hours of riding I started to feel a bit tired around the lower back area. I would rather go for something like a Ninja650 (you would also benefit from the increased power while cruising) or a cb500/650f. At high speeds the wind is deflected right into your helmet and shoulders, which offers you good support and ventilation but tends to be quite noisy. It feels even noisier than a naked bike with no wind deflector at all.
It is an awesome bike and I would recommend it to anyone, but not for very long trips as it is not a pure tourer.
@@kimo_db thanks for the info, I'll take a look at something more comfortable

Sorry I knew what's g p shifting. I am learning right now before getting on a bike and school training Thank you
270 degree cranks sure sounds great
I would love to see you try the CFMoto 800mt. Very curious on your feedback on that one
This is a good looking bike but the 700 CL-X Sport looks amazing. Anyway saying “I would buy it” is not the same as buying it. Only time will tell if these bikes will be reliable and the ease or not of parts availability.
It's beautiful! No modes and no quick shifter now that's enticing although I hate fairings but seriously for how long is CF going to keep those relatively low sweet prices? If I was an American I would be stocking up on their products before the real pricing sets in. Some people just have it all.
I like this bike, not for what it is but what it can do competition wise in the 400 class. It's a wake up call for Ninja 400 and R3 to step up their game!
YES!!!!
This is the one I'll be adopting. The decision is now final.
You should try the 800MT next time. I just know you'll love it
Man what a great looking motorcycle. Got me looking into the CF MOTO's. Especially for the price point. Better snag them up before they get pricey

Yup poor man’s ZX4R or beginner bike to get started on then upgrade later on 🤷🏾
Yup poor man’s zx4R and faster and better performance 😂
I want them to succeed, but we need some time to go by… down the road it will be interesting to see how reliable they are.
considering they own ktm and have years of experience making side by side and quads i think they'll be pretty good tbh
@@SrBiggusthey don’t own ktm, they’re in partnership with ktm to build parts for them, and have a joint venture factory in China.
Ktm is owned by Pierer Mobility AG and the Indian manufacturer Bajaj Auto
@mj_aussie_coaster_travels8310 the joint company they have, 51% is cf moto's share. All cf moto bikes apart from the 450 sr have ktm engines. The 450 is their first in house motorcycle engine. I almost fell in love with this bike from the beginning of the video but…my legs are shot and super aggressive positions don’t feel good. The Ninja 300 stays in my garage a little longer 😂
I'm 5'3" and I have to say the seat height on the 450ss is amazing. I can comfortably put a leg down without feeling like I'm going to tip the thing over. Compared to the seat height on the RC390 which is absurdly high for an entry level sports bike. It gives you a confident feel when you're sitting on it.

@@superbarnie I ride a CF Moto 450SS Ninja has nothing on it... Many don't know the Ninja in US Market is built here....overseas built in China past 20 some years. So when you guys call them Japanese bikes, only in name sake are they Japanese. Many Yamahas and Suzukis Ares still built in China. With Suzuki slowly shifting back to Japan something Honda did 12+ years ago. In doing so seen quality issues with Honda's.
Getting back to Ninjas people complain about rider peg position would like it lower, also many Ninjas are over priced, have had little updates in years. Explains why the aftermarket is there, a perfect bike shouldn't require upgrades. Shouldn't require clutch/brake levers, master cylinders, speed shifters, exhaust....For the over inflated price a TFT dash, and all that stuff should be included, they could also shift away from the Nissan brakes.....and use better.

If you are considering buying a CF brand motorcycle, depending on your age, you may be worried that the 450SR will be tiring after riding for a long time. I can only say that it is a little more tiring than the Ninja 400 for daily riding. Of course you can also consider 800MT Exploration, or their new 450NK/450MT/450CLC

Parts can be bought all over. From: exhaust, seats, tanks, body panels, you name it.
I've been eyeing this, but, through my journey to dip my toes into motorcycles, I've heard servicing them is an issue? My nearest CFMoto dealership is like two hours away... Can these be services by other places? Do CFMoto dealerships double as service departments? I've also seen that the service intervals are significantly less than other brands like Kawasaki, Yamaha, etc.?
Looks nice 👍
that tft display probably spies on its users tho. looks cool!
Juggling between this or the cbr 500r as my first bike. Both roughly same price for what I’m looking at. Such a tough choice
How would it stack up against something like the Ktm RC390?
Would you buy this or suggest I stick to it Duke 200. Which overheats 24/7.
How is getting aftermarket parts to make it yours.
I'd be keen to see your impression on CF Moto 300sr too
Yes. It's strange to have a 450 choice option and yet the 300sr still competes aesthetically. Actually the 300sr looks a bit better imo. Both awesome so it would depend on mpg / restriction by A-2 age etc...
What is the break in period for the 450ss?
I’m coming back to this video because I’m taking my msf and probably going to buy the 300ss and eventually going to give to my lady. you think 300 or 450?
I own one and I love it , you go too easy on throttle not much rpm cos mine second gear 12000rpm can do 130km easy , I did modify exhaust to Austin racing and sounds like r6

Those sell out fast!
They fall apart fast too.
Boycott Red China.
Gotta compare an RC390 now! Looks to be the same TFT dash. Also has adjustable suspension and lots of other similar features
no. even though cfmoto make the ktm engines for them, these are nothing alike.
this is a 270degree twin with an extra 60cc's, fully faired (even the dash is not the same, its got gps tracking and turn by turn navigation, standard). this thing shits all over 390's, and the extra $1.5k is fully justified, whereas the 390 is overpriced for its class.
The CF dash looks nothing like the RC dash. CF dash is easily one of the best dash’s around on any bike ever
Thats the same exhaust they use on the lxr 380 and 125 or the GP witch is the same bike but different name this bike looks nice

@@Happypillz unfortunately, you got a lemon unit my boy. I used my 650MT for an "IronMan" ride in my country which essentially is a 1200km loop across the northern part of our nation. And i didn't encounter any problem with it. It performed extremely well
This bike looks amazing compared to the Ninja 400 but I'm quoting out insurance and it's bonkers! Maybe because it's so new?
