My parents and I went to go look at bikes and I specifically wanted to see one of these. My mom saw this and was like "This was the bike I saw the other day and tried explaining it! It looks so cool, like a baby Ducati!." But, I think I am going to get one. It fit me way better than the RC390 and Ninja 400. I also liked the 700 CL-X Sport and Heritage. It was also fun because it was the first time in over 15 years we all went to go look at bikes together. My dad wanted to be with me when I got my first bike, but I lived in Alaska at the time and he lived in Texas. Now we are all in Texas and he is going to go riding with me the day I get my bike.

The bike is well-balanced and fun to ride, and with its 450cc engine, it has the power you're looking for. I haven't had any issues with it yet, and I make sure to get it serviced on time. As for reliability, there's a reason why the oil filter you showed says it fits a line of KTM motorcycles. It's a story as old as time, a big company starts having components or entire products made in Japan, China or India and then about 10 years later that country springs up as a manufacturer that challenges or even replaces the original company that basically taught them how to build a quality product in the first place.

OC: I think that over time CFMoto will prove their a reliable brand. After all I do believe KTM has CFMoto building and assembling a few of their bikes. Pretty sure the reliability questions come from the history of Chinese motorcycles and scooters being spotty at best. With a decent size group of people being burned by bikes made with substandard parts and materials and having overall poor fitment and finish to the bike. But off the bat the 450SS looks to be the best looking lower CC beginner bike on the market and with time we'll definitely see floods of aftermarket support probably close to the kinda support the MT07 receives as dealers can't keep that bike in stock. By that time I'm sure all reliability concerns about the 450SS will be put to rest.

They're gonna make a big sport bike soon. 2025ish. They have deals with component mfgs that are beyond legit. At $10k, a balls-out cf moto with WP suspension and Brembos on board is an outside maybe. North of $10k, an all-around pass I'm afraid. The value and the style are the only reason to consider this over something (anything) else. The 450SS has that in spades. If the value on their big bike isn't there, well, why not just have a sport bike from someone you've heard of? The value is their best card to play.

For every CFMOTO sold the Big 4 get nervous, so I'm expecting 2025 to be a SPECTACULAR year for customers. There are 4 dealerships in California, all in the Los Angeles area, so at least 8 hour drive from me, whereas my two Big 4 dealerships are literally 5 minute drive from me. 2025 is going to be an INSANELY amazing year for buyers.

I'd recommend all riders to learn your bike and how to basic service it yourself. As a certified auto mechanic I can say I do my own service now even on my bikes. It pays, literally and figuratively. Granted I can't do balancing because I don't have a machine, but that's about all I can't do myself. This bike is 100% worth of you can service it yourself, and it's 80% worth if you can't and you're not close to a Shop.

I think that if you have the capability to do so, people will want to see and hear different exhaust options for this be it a simple slip-on to full header back systems. Other things people might want to see is what performance increases are afforded by these different systems and whether they required a remap of the ECU. What tail tidy kits are available and how do they look? I know you kinda put in a plug for R&G, but TST Industries offers one as well along with different rear signal options that you can package in.
What I think would be truly awesome is if CF Moto offered the undercarriage cowl as a standalone part that could be integrated into the NK model with a scoop behind the front wheel. I would love to see more options for Street Fighter builds for the NK as well. The beauty of these two bikes is that they are already very good looking machines and utilize the exact same chassis so retro-fitting different components between the two should be easy breezy.
The question of reliability IMO is moot because the engines themselves have already been proven in the KTM machines. I am curious to see how long it will be before there is a KTM model rocking the 450 mill? It has all kinds of advantages over the 390 and shows immense potential in the market. I think it helps that CF Moto has a former Ducati engineer as a chief design consultant for their Street division of bikes that while most of them share powerplants with their KTM partners they have a distinct look and fit & finish that sets them apart from being a rebadged KTM offering. Gotta love options.

Most of the people who can service a cfmoto bike, I have nearly 3 within an hour or less from my house.. Personally If I was going to get a cfmoto it would either be the 650 and 700 naked bikes or the ibex 800 adventure bikes. Those adventure bikes make more sense to me overall, since a lot of the roads here in WV are half gravel and off road trails everywhere, not to mention the curvy mountain roads all over the place here. But if I didn't want to go off road, those naked 650 and 700's are a nice medium ground not as peppy as a liter bike, but not as slow and cumbersome on the inclines for the mountain roads, and have a nice sitting position for longer rides. I've been looking into them for months, they're pretty good price compared to the Suzuki or Honda type bikes. I feel if you're going to get an Adventure bike though, rather than being a trailer queen and afraid to get a scratch on it, you want to ride it like you stole it off road, ding it, bang it up, and ride those trails like they where meant to be rode, then go on road and ride home, thats my thought. So the price is a nice medium for me. Not too expensive where I'm worried how much the parts are going to be to repair it, but not cheap where they will break cause they're flimsy cheap parts. So That's most likely what I'm going to get this coming spring when I get my taxes.

Very good vdo, once again. I've been a rider for 34 years and have a very strong liking for Japanese bikes. I've gotten older and you know, as we get older, we stick to our positions, our comfort, our safety, our conservative spirit... Japanese bikes have proved their worth for decades and, as you say, it's not by doing a few thousand kilometers on these new Chinese bikes that we'll have any idea of their long-term reliability in terms of years but... times have changed and so has technology. I don't claim to be a mechanic, but I have four Japanese motorcycles that I take great care of and maintain with passion. My roots in these brands are deep-rooted, so I don't yet know if I could invest in this CFMoto company, although I feel it deserves my trust... Their low prices and five-year warranty have me seriously thinking about it. Time, reflection and videos promoting them will guide me towards them or not, I'll see. In any case, watching your vdo's about this brand, guides me and informs me very well. Keep up the good work! Thanks a lot.

I've seen this bike in person and I admit, it very beautiful. What makes me so hesitant to buy it is the tech on it. Is it that the more softwares a vehicle has yhe more complicated it will be to fix it?
I think that's the reason why japanese brands are not installing full tft displays on thier cheapest bikes and only avalable on their higher tier motorcycles is because the more tech the more it should be durable hence the high price tag.
