    Installation video of a KO Lightning slip-on exhaust for my CFMOTO 450SS motorcycle. This will work on the USA model CFMOTO 450SS and non-US model CFMOTO 450SR.
    I installed this aftermarket KO Lightning exhaust on my CFMOTO sport bike with the silencer or DB Killer installed.
    This is simple mod for the CFMOTO 450SS. I’m impressed with the overall quality built and sound of the KO Lightning Exhaust that I purchased off AliExpress.
    This install does not require a flash of the ECU.

    • @ROBSOLUTELY
      @ROBSOLUTELY  7 месяцев назад

      I didn't have any "silver tape". It is more like a sticky fiberglass roll? If so, mine did not come with it, but typically that can be used at the connecting pipe. When you take your factory exhaust off, you will probably see the same thing where the pipes connect. On an older bike, when you take an exhaust off, the exhaust seal can fall apart, so if you notice that with yours, the "tape" can probably be used as a replacement. Slip-on exhausts have very little, if any, performance changes. I hope to see some name brand exhausts come out in the future. KO Lightning is it's own brand, but they make the same exhaust as mine and put counterfeit emblems on for other brands. I'm not a fan of that either.

      @@ROBSOLUTELY I was hoping I could see small gains from a DNA filter/slip on combo. It's the simplest upgrade and heard you you can see 5+hp from it. Which would be noticeable. @vali69 Год назад

      @@SenateKT-uc2idnah man you need a race/whatever aftermarket filter, which I don't even think you can get for this bike yet, and a slip on with a cat delete, else you'll not have any gains. And when it comes to these bikes it won't even be enough to justify cutting out the cat and spending money for a dyno and a tune. It's a beginner bike after all, just get a slip on to change the sound a bit, make it a little louder or whatever and just enjoy it.

    • @SenateKT-uc2id
      @SenateKT-uc2id Год назад

      @@vali69I'm far from a "beginner". Been riding since I was 9 years old, have owned a couple R6's, a R1, and few super moto's. I don't attest to smaller cc bikes being only for "beginners". There is more to riding than going fast in a straight line. I already have the air filter. DNA makes one. And the exit on the stock exhaust is super tiny. So I'm hoping a slip-on/filter combo will give it a nice little bump. If I could get 5-8 more hp out of the bike I'd be pretty happy.

    Hi. I've got a new 450 about a month ago and I was wondering do you get a uncomfortable clunk or thud when you change gears? The gear thud or clunk is worse on down shifts. I've taken the bike back to the dealers and they tell me this is normal. Do you get the same thing?

    • @ROBSOLUTELY
      @ROBSOLUTELY  11 месяцев назад +1

      I have no issues with shifting noises. Maybe you have to pull the clutch in more? Sounds like maybe you aren't fully engaging the clutch and it's hitting harder than it should.

      @@ROBSOLUTELY Hi Rob. The clutch cable has very little slack. If I tighten it any more the clutch will be constantly engaged (which will wear it out quicker). I don't remember having any clunking issues on the test ride, but when I ask to take one of their bikes out, all the sudden they don't have a test bike. I ride mine as a daily and like the bike but the clunking is really annoying me.

      Hi. I was there at the dealers last night and they insisted that my bike was normal, then last night I checked the oil and even though I just had the 1st service 1 week ago, the oil level was below the minimum level. That's why the gears was changing so clunky. I think the mechanic misread the manual. They are suppose to fill the oil level to the minimum when the bike is on the side stand, but the manual doesn't clarify that. The mechanic filled the oil to the minimum when the bike is in the upright position on their service stands, which means on the lean position there is no oil. That's why the bike was changing gears so clunky. Thanks for your help.
