    I'm talking about a lot of things in this video. First, my thoughts after riding my CFMOTO 450SS. Not really a long-term review, more of a second riding season on the bike. I talk about the quality of CFMOTO, mentioning that CFMOTO is a manufacturer from China, and there are a lot of people that question the quality of CFMOTO bikes because of that. I talk about how CFMOTO has invested in the USA by building a large headquarters here, and that they have a good dealer network that is growing fast. I talk about the 2-year CFMOTO warranty, then get into the current recall on the CFMOTO 450SS that deals with the T-box. I will be taking my CFMOTO 450SS to Karn's Performance in Mechanicsburg to have the recall service performed. I mention that a recall should to be a concern for the brand, it just means they are taking care of their customers. I even joke that for BMW motorcycles, I think the RR stands for Recall-Recall! LOL
    I've had people ask if the CFMOTO 450SS is comfortable and how would it be on a long ride. For me, the bike is comfortable. The Yoshimura AT2 slip-on exhaust for the CFMOTO 450SS is claimed to give extra horsepower and torque. I actually feel it now that I have the exhaust installed on my 450SS. Next I get into the peer pressure with motorcycle riders that you need a bigger bike. I'm continuing to wear the ILM Z501 helmet. I talk about the quality of the ILM helmet brand and mention that they now produce quality helmets that are ECE rated. Then I get into my issues with Alpinestars and my Tech-Air 3 airbag vest. The vest broke after 3 rides. I've been waiting on Alpinestars for an RMA number to get it returned... and that's a wrap!

    Overall, it's all been good. Second riding season, one recall, but it's being taken care of. Only complaint I have deals with Alpinestars and their bad customer service with my Tech Air 3 airbag vest.

    That is actually a bit different. Yamaha and CFMoto have a joint venture called ZHUZHOU CF YAMAHA MOTOR CO.,LTD which both parties share ownership. CFMoto does not own Yamaha in any way shape or form.

    I bought the 2024 450nk and after 200 miles I had an oil leak dealer said it was the pan and tightened it, took in for first service and it was still leaking. Dealer said they torqued the oil pan to spec. It was still leaking, they found it was coming from the front sprocket seal and after 2 weeks they called and said they can’t get the part from Cfmoto’s parts department. They said it is on back order. It has now been almost a month with no bike because it is still sitting at the dealership waiting for the seal to come in. 😭

      Let the dealer know about that issue. At least that's what my dealer told me. I bought mine on December 17, 2023 and had to take the bike in in January 30, 2024. It took until March 7th that I was able to get it back under a new wayerpump, but was still having the same issue. So the dealer had a representative from cfmoto to check it out and I got me a new motor

Specifically the oil leaking and taking a long time for parts, I see people saying that if u get the bikes and u should bc their extremely good, order your basic maintenance parts as well, seals, filters, cables, their cheap to buy in bulk and it’s good to have to have always !

    I do have one question. Ive had my 450ss for about 10 months now and after about 4 months, I noticed the chain makes a lot of noise. It only starts after about 30mph but gains in intensity with more speed. Its kind of like a zipping sound. Ive adjusted, cleaned and lubed it several times and even took it to the shop and they adjusted it and said everything is fine on it. Im kind of irritated because anyone riding on my left hears the chain over the motor. Its really only noiticible for me when riding if I lean over to that side, or if im not wearing a helmet.
    Is this something you have dealt with or heard about at all?

    • @ROBSOLUTELY
      @ROBSOLUTELY  4 месяца назад

      I don't notice any noise from the chain. From what you are saying, it sounds to me like yours is rubbing against something. You said you adjusted it and keep is lubed, so it should't be too loose. If you have a rear stand, maybe put it up on that and turn the back wheel to see if the chain hits on something?
