I'm not sure if HMB was just a newer supplement when this video was made, or if the price came down dramatically, but it seems like with bulk supplements, leucine is significantly more expensive. HMB is 300 capsules/ 150 servings at 1g for $22, vs leucine 300 capsules is 30 servings, for $20, but the serving is 5g. What would you recommend, or should I be looking elsewhere?
This statement is 100% FALSE!!! Stop with the lies!! You are just trying get more views. Ask yourself this question.... if HMB is stronger then Steroids then why do Athletes and Bodybuilders take Steroids over HMB??? I will answer for you..... become there is nothing stronger than Steroids!!!
Im sorry but im 64 years old been working out pretty much all my life, and every time i start taking HMB my strength goes way up my muscle gain goes up and my lean muscle mass is so much better...just saying...i know everyone is different But it works for me...thanks for what you do..
Same, every time I start taking it, especially if I stack it with creatine, I am seeing ability to do about 30% more reps and eventually able to lift heavier down the line.

Excellent video Thomas. Obviously this isn’t something that you can take when you’re fasting because it will spike your insulin and break your fast. But as a carpenter he takes wear and tear on the body. I would recommend taking this in the morning before you start work or at least by lunch. Catabolism in the muscle and maybe take two more grams before a workout. It’s all about the Preservation of muscle. When you’re not benefiting from the elevated human growth hormone from fasting. You’re a wonderful teacher thank you !
IF...IF..it really grew muscles better than roids. The government would make it a controlled substance. Anything that really works..will be removed or under government control.
Tell me about it, the VA is my healthcare provider and they have an absolute war on "steroids." They do not even want to prescribe prednisone when I have a bad outbreak of hives from being in the sun too long. Even T for low T they make near impossible to get. It is so bad that I am continuing my TRT from sources off the net. I have to pay out of pocket but it is better than dealing with government doctors who do what bureaucrats tell them policy is rather than what is best for the patients. I imagine insurance gives doctors a lot of the same pressure and it is all about $$$$$$$.
Thanks Doc!!! I have been working out for years and doing too much weight and overdevelopment of my chest and front delts led to bad posture. Can't tell you how much these exercises have helped.
I took creatine with HMB. It was never easier to make gains in the gym, at 5'10" I used to be 225lbs with a 31in waist until I was in an accident that destroyed my shoulder. Anyway, I used to try to make myself sore but it never happened while taking HMB. People think I'm crazy when I tell them this so than you for making this video.
I knew this when I started weight lifting in high school in 1998. My go to supplements were HMb, CLA and creatine. Use these three with clean food and aminos and you will have a more defined muscle mass. All of these supplements I prefer are safe as long as you follow the recommended servings and you can take more depending on your growth.
I remember when creatine first dropped. That was an amazing time. Flex magazine, Muscle and Fitness, all the hype around Cell Tech and EAS. Andro was sold at GNC. It was a great time to be in bodybuilding.

Just to let everyone know (bc 99% of the fitness community doesn't know this): Rodent studies with regards to metabolism/microbiome/nutrition in general have absolutely zero correlation to humans because their digestion system and metabolism are inherently far too different to provide any value. Just thought you guys should know and not base decisions off of rat studies. Worth noting that anything related to neurobiology with rats is very valuable so not all rat studies are equal.

Organic hexane free castor oil pack on your liver while you sleep. Add a little castor oil to the cloth every couple days. (You’ll have to apply cellophane wrap over the cloth to minimize the mess, and wear an old shirt.) Do it every night, with a heat pack for a month and see how you feel. A little DMSO on your liver before the castor oil is even more effective. Also, take a supplement like NAC and/or TMG to increase glutathione. To assist your kidneys with the chemo dissolve 1/4 teaspoon baking soda in 6oz water and take it 1-2 x day between meals.
I have supplemented HMB-ca for over 8 years now. I don't like the fact that you don't get into a tldr for people who don't understand you. The basics of HMB is that it's a leucine metabolite used to prevent catabolism, it does not promote anabolism, it's used in muscle wasting diseases and those on chemo, and also in livestock. It has minimal to no effect in all moderately trained individuals. The only use it would have in trained individuals is for cuts/caloric deficits which require preventing going catabolic, the same reason I use it. It's not recommended for anyone or anything tbh. Taurine is where the magic is
I’m guessing as someone who’s super active already and does upwards of 200kms of cross country bike riding a week this stuff might not make a difference for me? Since my body’s already in active mode all the time lol
Well a supplement store owner i trust said to me when asked about hmb that it is slightly more effective than leucine that you have to take it for a long time period in order to notice its full effect and that it will make you smell
HMB is not hormonal. It is a metabolite of leucine which is why it prevents muscle protein breakdown. You can take it whether you are a man, or a woman. Does not matter and will not affect your hormones at all.
I'm not familiar with the term Creatine Kinase. Is it the sane as Creatinine? Because I was mistakenly diagnosed with kidney problems for having elevated Creatinine as a result of weight lifting and taking creatine.
CK is a waste byproduct of muscle and creatine metabolism. As a result, those who lift, who are more muscular, consume creatine and more protein will have more CK in their blood. If you're not lifting, don't have higher than average muscle mass then elevated CK in your blood is more likely to indicate possible kidney issues.
@@mrmegabuckssongs Indeed. Nevertheless, some people, Like myself and some others, will be completely healthy and yet excrete an elevated level of creatinine when they take creatine (the specific number that I had, and many others on line have reported is 1.43). Just started using HMB three weeks ago. I’m going to put it right up there with Creatine and ZMA. Fantastic results. The drawback? The smell is somewhere between gym socks, split oak and zesty Doritos.
I have been taking HMB for 3 weeks, before even watching this video (crazy how this came up on my youtube feed? lol) and i take 1G (1 scoop) of HMB every morning, to go along with my morning shake. I mixed it with whey protein (or half serving of weight gainer), cistanche, and pine pollen powder. Mind you i did change my diet a bit too. I went from 4 cups of caffeinated coffee a day to just 1. I eliminated a lot of the snacks/chocolate i was eating throughout the day and my lunch strictly consists of chicken, kale/spinach, and potatoes (i'm getting tired of the same lunch LOL). 3 weeks later i can absolutely see improvements on energy levels, recovery, and strength when i workout. I find myself lifting the weights much easier, not getting fatigued midway or losing focus etc. When back in the day it felt like the same weight i was doing, i couldn't even do, even though some days i could. Some days i just couldn't. There was no consistency. So i won't say HMB is the magic formula as i changed a lot of other things to see improvements. For 20 bucks on amazon, and 250 servings, HMB is worth trying.
I started shedding my hair. Well just the center and my face started to look like a sad looking basset hound. Inalso just stopped brushing my teeth as well. Been about 6 months or so. Also threw a few batteries at a hobo last week. Sheering half of his ear off.
Cutting out all that junk food and starting to eat healthy is enough on it's own to make you feel more energetic and stronger, with all that going on who knows if it's the HMB that's making the difference or not
@@carterhayes4624 I didn't cut all junk food out, i would say more than half though. Before i would eat cookies or a donut and coffee mid morning breakfast but it's replaced by a protein/fruit smoothie. Then for lunch i have the chicken (or salmon) with kale.spinach and potatoes. Then mid afternoon snack i would do the same thing, either chips or cookies/donut and another cup of coffee. Now that's replaced by a whey isolate protein shake. I get home from work and have decaf cup of coffee when before EVERYTHING was caffeinated coffee. Then for dinner will be whatever i can make or find. So it's not a perfect diet but i did make some improvements. With those improvements i noticed more energy throughout the day and i just feel better. I'm sure if i went on a strict ZERO junk food diet i would feel even more amazing but i'm not trying to do all that because while it's good to start eating a bit healthier, i am trying to bulk so i need calories.
I'd be more interested in the effect without training. All these studies are about increase in strength while excercising and then even try to compare it to steroids is kinda a joke. Steroids are so strong, that you build muscle and burn fat, while literally sitting on your ass. You don't need to do anything to get big and lean, as long as you don't spontaneously double your calorie intake. How would HMB perform on a person, that isn't experienced in training and also doesn't start working out after taking it? We know that even creatine pumps the existing muscles full of water, so you look a bit better, even without training, because your muscles get fuller, even if no actual muscle-fibers get added. Does HMB have any effect with no training at all?
i was wondering the same thing, would it help someone with fibromyalgia who has pain and muscle weakness and can't exercise much at all... but there doesn't seem to be anyone in the comments talking about such peeps!

Long video: AFAIK HMB doesn't build muscle better than steroids. As for the first study the placebo group lost weight while the HMB group gained weight, I feel that's kinda relevant when looking at strength gains over a 4 week period.
Correct. Without using a metabolic lab to control caloric intake, the study is dead in the water. Equate calories in the context of a surplus, then they can begin the study.
I'm 72, I've taken steroids and I've taken HMB and HMB most definitely builds muscle faster in older adults. About 9 months ago, I discontinued HRT (hgh, hcg and testosterone) with my doctor because the only result I saw in 18 months was a thinning head of hair. I have only been taking HMB for about 3 months. All my gains have come recently. Best shape (muscle wise) of my life and I have been an (amateur after college) athlete all my life. @@Dr.MikeGranato To me it kinda is: Overeat and train: Gain muscle and fat. Undereat and train: Lose muscle and fat. So if I lost weight vs if I gained weight I'd assume that would affect my strength. Now if it's just 1 kg difference over a month then maybe not. But I'd expect weight gain/loss to affect average outcomes.
HMB has been debated for over 25 years. And still no real answer to if It works.or not I first read about it in Muscle Media 2000. If I try it. I would probably start with 3 grams a day. And maybe later add 400mg of ATP. But if it really works it would of caught on by now.
I may still have one of the first issues of MM2K where Bill Phillips was breaking the news on HMB. I tried one of the first batches before it was EAS branded. It -may- have helped with recovery? But I was much younger back then so maybe it’s more beneficial as you age.

Hmb + creatine can help, but in no way compared to even low dose test. Hmb has been around since 90s and prices come down significantly. But leucine is cheaper, however to leucine can spike insulin if you need to be low insulin hmb better than leucine . Hmb pretty mild on the body like creatine and best when these 2 are combined, but you need do research and find a manufacturer that has independent inspection and proof the product is what claims it is . as supplements have no regulation in u.s. and can put saw dust in it and sell you it , you have no right to know. Many times if you have digestive problems with creatine, protein powders etc it's because the product is filled with unregulated filler garbage.
If one is worried about insulin spiking, taking the leucine with a complete protein, or some fat, should slow down and regulate/smooth out that process more.
There was a study done the UK with creatine and HMB together on longevity and they couldn't determine if there was any effect. But they did see the difference in strength increase. Plus they said that there was an increase in testosterone.from taking the two together. I had been taking them for a couple of years before I read that and it seamed like it was true to me. I was able to get better progress with them. I'm 73 years old now and you need all the help you can get at that age. Both work separately gwit well but combined it was magic. The older you are the better they work.

There are percentages involved here as well like 30 to 40% targets the A muscles. I am 57 now. And I'm still a small guy. But as a teenager I was VERY skinny. My frame has always been very small boned. Most thin women have larger wrist than I do. My mom and dad were brutal and had me doing extremely heavy physical work for long periods. And I was lucky to ever get a good nights sleep in all of my high school days. My teen life was work work work go go go. I ate a lot of food. But never gained weight. However... I also consumed a LOT of sugar. And I NEVER drank water. I was strong as hell. Much stronger than kids 50 pounds larger than myself. Never hit a gym but I threw 200 pound logs all day like they were toys. And I was ripped as hell. But still skinny. (I eventually went on to become a US Army Airborne Ranger at 140 pounds). But I was always really skinny as a kid. I was 5 feet 9 inches when I graduated high school. 112 pounds. So here is my advice: 1 -- Is your teenager too skinny? Or just thin boned? If they are very thin boned - then focus on building up muscle with more protein, less carbs, grinding workouts with good recovery times, and all the sleep they want - but only at night. 2 -- Are they eating enough good calories? And if so, are they negating it with junk food and sugars? Don't let them know you are monitoring what they eat. Just watch closely for a while and then make your best guess. 3 -- Is it possible they have a vitamin or mineral deficiency? Consider doing a blood test to make sure. Possibly twice. 4 -- Most importantly --- Talk to your kid, Show love and concern and understanding. Let them know you understand that they may not like the way they look, or the way other kids treat them. But also let them know that you believe in them, you are confident in them, and explain to them that there is really no reason for them to ever feel insecure. THEN!!! 5 -- Get involved with them - to improve BOTH of you. Diet, gym, lifestyle. etc. And KNOW that you will be doing BOTH of you a great thing. :)
look into Iron man programs like POF but use these as guide lines meaning dont make a program too far off these programs . today so many over train . to keep it simple train every other day. try to make a increase of weight every week even if just 5 pounds on compound exercises
HMB have diminishing return gains depending on your experience. On some studies they saw profesional athletes didn't see much improvements, if any, in muscle mass/body composition, while on other studies less trained/experienced people gained more mass than those who only took placebo when working out
Real hmb should not cause any kind of stomach distress at all. I ran into a lot of products that say they were hm because they were cheap and some of them were just lysine powder! That can cause some pretty bad stomach problems! A lot of times supplements are loaded with ammonia too and that's what causes the real stomach issues. You should be able to take 10 g of hmb and not even do so much as burp if it's real! Honestly the good stuff is usually a little expensive!

I was also feeling like I wasn’t recovering fully as of late due to all my training. Now I feel fantastic it’s what I really needed. I did research the first time I got on it just to make sure I wasn’t harming my own health taking it. I’m 47 years old and seeing the positive research made me want to use it and I have no regrets. I highly recommend it. Even if you don’t believe me try to research it first and have your own assumptions. I absolutely love it I know the p90x guy has a HMB product I saw which I see positive reviews it’s worth checking out.
Same thing happened to me. I'm in my 50's and was just taking Creatine. I was sore all the time so I wasn't training as much. As soon as I started taking HMB, the muscle soreness went away. Some people respond differently metabolically to different substances at different times of the day. People more epigenetically susceptible to insulin insensitivity, people who have more or less myostatin, people with more fast twitch or slow twitch muscle fiber ratios…et cetera, on and on. Supplements are going to work with different efficacy on different people. true, but to get 3 grams of it in one sitting you would literally have to eat several pounds of those foods. more than you could physically eat in a day.
I went vegan for last 2 month, main source vegan protein, I had tricep pain near elbow for last 4-5 days , I ordered HMB , its not best version one like muscletech clear , but its nutrex 1000 a cheaper one, I took 2 caps today (4-5 hrs before writing this) , pain is gone, it recovered my tricep pretty fast. There's no reason that hmb should be giving you stomach gas at all. If it's a cheap product more than likely it's not even hmb it's more than likely loaded with ammonia or just lysine powder. I have ran into tons of products that were like that they were cheap. You should to be able to take 10 g of hmb and not hurt your stomach at all!! My guess is it's not really hmb. My boss has tested a lot of products and honestly you get what you pay for most of the time. Most of the products like sarms and stuff that are in the stores 80% of them are fake and don't have what they say they do in the label. This is no joke! Hmb is just a form of leucine and there is no reason in the world that it should cost stomach gas unless you already have massive problems!! This is a complaint I hear a lot from people because they've got a cheap version and it was fake completely! Honestly hmb is not something that's going to be really worth the money anyway in my opinion if not even in the top 20 things I would recommend for a bodybuilder or any one trying to increase their health. You're better off just using plain leucine at about 15 g a day in 5 g divided doses! That actually is worth the money! I have the money especially when I was training to be able to afford any supplement I wanted when I was natural and honestly I didn't include hmb unless I got it for free!!
Are you crunching that protein powder? Dial it back a bit and use real food only when you’ve met all meals then eat protein it helped me stop having those horrid gasses or maybe even mix protein into the food like pancakes etc..

I literally looked for your video on HMB cause I knew you'd really break it down. What do you think of combining HMB with Creatine? I'm 46 and just getting back into my workout.
Dude save your time get on TRT and you'll feel better than ever. At your age you should. Also this hmb is a waste of time. For bodybuilding and health I'd say you should be on HGH, NAC daily, L-arginine 5g daily, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Milk thistle with 80% sylimarin daily, Saw palmetto to prevent BPH. Creatine is a given. 6g of Omega-3 a day / 1500mg of DHA, GABA, raw garlic pills equivalent of 2g of clove/bulb per day. I'm 28 on a blast cycle right now (taking way more than your average testosterone replacement therapy) also starting HGH soon.
Used about 20 tubs of this in capsule form each tub had 120 capsule's i took 3 capsules 4 x a day along with all other supplements + gym & cardio eat clean = lots of wasted money that would of been better spent on whole foods etc.
In my youth I mixed HMB in caps with a machine, working out 4-5/week and doing both construction and lumberjacking I was dosing lots of creatine monohydrate, HMB and EAA daily with a decent diet on 2500-3500 kcal and my strength/energy was unmatched
@thebeetsy you would have to be a moron to take 600 mg of depo-testosterone in a week. The average person on TRT takes 100 mg/week. You also have to factor in the effects that exogenous testosterone has on your cardiovascular system. It increases RBC, hemoglobin and hematocrit levels already in people who are taking just 100 mg/week, sometimes to dangerous levels and you think 6 times that is going to be healthy or safe?! You're living in a fantasy dude. That much testosterone can make your blood like jelly to the point that you can have a cardiac event or even a stroke, but go ahead.

Tell me about it, the VA is my healthcare provider and they have an absolute war on "steroids." Just to let everyone know (bc 99% of the fitness community doesn't know this): Rodent studies with regards to metabolism/microbiome/nutrition in general have absolutely zero correlation to humans because their digestion system and metabolism are inherently far too different to provide any value.

Cutting out all that junk food and starting to eat healthy is enough on it's own to make you feel more energetic and stronger, with all that going on who knows if it's the HMB that's making the difference or not
well its not that surprising since google owns youtube i would hasard a guess you looked HMB up before buying it somewhere.
yeah, 20 bucks for 250 servings is cheap imo.

I have a packet of frozen prawns in the freezer that are three years past their sell by date, and I swear by them for muscle and strength gains.
Take both lol
I'm 72, I've taken steroids and I've taken HMB and HMB most definitely builds muscle faster in older adults. HMB has been debated for over 25 years. And still no real answer to if It works.or not I first read about it in Muscle Media 2000. If I try it. I would probably start with 3 grams a day. And maybe later add 400mg of ATP. But if it really works it would of caught on by now.
Depends because supplements is the wild wild west. Companies can but fillers.

Is this safe to take while breastfeeding?
On my bottle it says not to take if pregnant or breastfeeding
There is a lot of different one which should I get?
There was a study done the UK with creatine and HMB together on longevity and they couldn't determine if there was any effect. But they did see the difference in strength increase. Plus they said that there was an increase in testosterone.from taking the two together. I had been taking them for a couple of years before I read that and it seamed like it was true to me. I was able to get better progress with them. I'm 73 years old now and you need all the help you can get at that age. Both work separately gwit well but combined it was magic. The older you are the better they work.

Say you can lift a 100 lbs, then 30 to 40 pounds would hit these muscles with at least 20 to 30 reps. for one to to two sets. The B muscles would be 70 to 80%. The high B brut strength ones would be 85 to 90%. These all take time to work up to. Healing time can be different for each one and there is different reps as well, including sets. Also, do you want to be a body builder or a power lifter?
Years ago when I was training heavily, the best period of training I did was when I was taking a berry flavoured Met-Rx product which mixed creative and HMB. Sadly I couldn’t get hold of the product anymore. Having switched to other products here and there during my training I felt that the HMB was the difference. I didn’t know much at the time, but I became a fan of HMB lol

I’ve heard it can help retain muscle but ONLY during a fast. It’s a bcaa metabolite and bcaas do not help either unless there is adequate other amino acids to use.
It supposedly works well for elderly but not so well in younger men supposedly if I remember correctly. I have use it with creatine and I give it a thumbs up.
I used to take it all the time, its honestly just for people who workout in a fasted state. Slows muscle breakdown and speeds up recovery. It was good at first but i found just eating a small snack or meal b4 a workout does me more justice.
How is hmb on the liver. I’ve lost 48 lbs on keto between your videos and Dr berg. Thanks for all you two do. I feel way better. I have nafl and it’s all but gone. I went from 209 to 161 and still need to lose a few more before I start bulking up.
Can you take hmb on fasting hours ? Does it spike insulin??
It can't spike insulin...only calories can
Do you mean insulin spike or blood glucose spike. After eating we have a glucose spike .
My son is 17 athlete.. eats a high calorie… protein… carb diet.. been in the gym past few months. Not really big on starting him on creatine.. I bought him two bottles of HMB that have been sitting there for two months cause I’m not sure. His goal is weight gain and strength gain. Would you recommend this???
Why not creatine? It's a natural thing we consume in meat and it's a key part to our strength/explosive energy systems.
@@wafflesmcgallagher934 honestly you just get so many mixed reviews on it for kids. Just need educated more on it I guess
@@AP-yc4yz well from a physiology standpoint(I'm not a researcher) I don't see how it's bad. What it does is it carries phosphate(for our ATP-PC[phosphocreatine] system) which allows us to produce and store additional energy reserves that might help you squeeze out those 2-3 extra reps you wouldn't be able to do on your own
If it helps, im 18 athlete and creatine is an absolute gamechanger. Feel stronger, more endurance, weigh a little bit more. No side effects. Frankly all the fear of kids taking it is just drummed up by a bunch of Karen's and attention seekers. It's completely safe, it's in every single animal product for God's sake.
if anything HMB is riskier than creatine...
Does leucine mix with creatine? If not can they be taken apart at different times?

You might discuss this with your doctor first. Your doctor would know best.
Thomas, what can I do to help my skinny teenager to gain muscle... I cant find good videos in this subject for teens. I am worried. Thank you!
112 pounds.
So here is my advice:
1 -- Is your teenager too skinny?
Dbol
Literally the same advice applies to them as to adults. 1) Eat more 2) Eat More 4) Eat more

look into Iron man programs like POF but use these as guide lines meaning dont make a program too far off these programs . today so many over train . to keep it simple train every other day. try to make a increase of weight every week even if just 5 pounds on compound exercises
Have tried this a couple of months ago. Stopped cause of stomach ache but didn’t really work out that much
HMB have diminishing return gains depending on your experience. On some studies they saw profesional athletes didn't see much improvements, if any, in muscle mass/body composition, while on other studies less trained/experienced people gained more mass than those who only took placebo when working out
@@xm1040 thanks for the info. Unfortunately it seems the more trained we are the harder it gets to see progress
@@BJETNT thanks for that. Tbh the specific supplement was really cheap as far as I remember so this might be the case

I’ve used HMB before and now just got on it again and recently I’ve had joint pain from working out 4 days a week and training jiujitsu. My experience is my joint pain started to go away literally and I don’t mean to post this just to talk but I mean it literally went away the first day I got back on HMB ( no joke ) I take muscle tech HMB it’s a great product.
It literally disappeared the next day. I do get muscle fatigue which prevents me from training everyday but the soreness is minimal even after a very hard work out. The other side effect I noticed is that I'm constantly hungry, famished in fact.
Was the product you were taking the MuscleTech Clear Muscle (which says “HMB Free Acid” on it)?
I thought hmb was a failed supplement?
It is. There were a lot of discrepancies and conflicts between the few studies that were done on it.
i think it is,,,
Are you guys inventing misinformation here?
@@dmitryshevchenko349Bill Phillips put HMB on the map 25 years ago but it pretty much disappeared within a few years. If it worked, it would still be popular like creatine.
None of these studies ever delve into the genetic differences between experiment subjects. Some people methylate different things differently.
I can say this for my experience. 50 year old caucasian of mostly Irish descent. 6’2”, 215lbs, always have had a propensity towards an endomorphic but overall slim build (skinnyfat). I noticed in my late 40s, like most of us that age, that my muscle tissue was atrophying regardless of diet. I have started resistance training as a necessity for metabolism preservation vis-a-vis testosterone maintenance. I have also used a technique for stimulating HGH production to that end. Here is what I do:
1. 3-4 days at a time of no carb eating, light carbs at the end of the day here and there on other days so my body remembers how to handle them. One or two days a week, I don’t eat anything until I’ve been awake about 8 hours. I mix it up.
2. 30/30/30 fat loss method; Most days of the week, I eat 5 eggs within 30 minutes after waking and immediately go do 30 minutes of light cardio (
How is $20 HMB expensive?

I am 61y and am pre diabetes whould this be something i could take to lose weight and build muscle mass? I am still working (easier than i did before) but still active and would love to stay that way. Thanks for any help you might be able to give.
I go vegan at the end of the month to lose weight fast. Hmb might help with the egg or glass of milk I drink for protein. I still have no idea how safe it is.
@@bullmoose6739 "...lose weight fast"? That depends on the veggies.
I lift like crazy in the beginning of the month and eat lots of steak. It’s a big difference from what I was doing in the beginning of the month. That’s why I lose weight.
But everyone is different.
I pretty much fast, cut back on the lifting at the end of the month. I threw all my hmb out, because I’m not at the point where I need to micro manage.
Hey, I have just done my search and HMB is naturally found in Avocado, Cauliflower, Grapefruit and Alfalfa, all vegan foods. Not bad, isn't it?
true, but to get 3 grams of it in one sitting you would literally have to eat several pounds of those foods. more than you could physically eat in a day.
I think HMB 's mix result is if you are vegan kind of guy who taking kind of inferior protein , not much BCAA etc. HMB works pretty well in there .
All the supplements in the world won't prevent the damage a vegan diet will cause.

How does one obtain this product?
Exchange “money” for goods and services. Money is a paper, metal, or digital commodity that is in your possession, and some people in possession of goods you desire may trade with you. Hope this helps in obtaining.
I've been using hmb for about a month now
Serious question did anybody else have horrible gas? Or am I just rotting inside
HMB modifies microbiome (in a positive way), so I guess this is similar to probiotics that make people gassy
Excessive gastric response is due to an unbalanced gut microbiome... Not enough good bacteria in the gut.. balance this with probiotics but mainly FERMENTED foods like saur kraut made with salt and not vinegar...kimchi (fermented Asian style vegetables)..apple cider vinegar drink..kombucha cultured tea beverage...but also a wide variety of species of plants in your diet... Just to name a few..
It can also be a sign you're not processing your proteins enough before they hit the lower intestine.
How much should a daily dose be?
i think 1.5g,,,
Daily dose is 3 grammes, split into two separate doses. Stuff works wonders for recovery.
Wasn’t there a very good reason not to take whey protein?

@Super MarioThe dark side, what u using?
