I have been a user of creatine for over 30 years. I have a lifetime best bench press at 368 lb at the body weight of 180 lb. At age 55 I have a bench press of 315, at a body weight of 208-sometimes 212. I give a lot of credit to creatine, & essential amino acids. And Don't use protein powder. I'm strong youthful looking & mentally sharp, & a head full of hair! I'm thankful for creatine and looking forward to using HMB.💪🏽

I take protein powder and drink supplements 3 times a day to get satiation, fullness sensation to reduce eating and lose weight. You cannot make muscle without protein, so most would say this helps at that also.

Ive been using creatine since it was first available, every day since. Ive had zero side effects, im am now 58. I still use it, and dont plan on stopping. Also, ive never used the loading phase, so im gonna say it's bogus. My max bench was 395( i know, so close to the 400 club. I think it was a mental thing). I squat 590 and had a leg press of 1300 lbs. I currently at 58 can leg press 900, bench 295( lol, i know) and i stopped squatting due to back issues. I straight out contribute this to creatine. Its the ONLY supplement I ever took, and as soon as i started taking it, there were crazy gains.

I have found hmb definitely decreases the next day muscle soreness from exercise and helps recovery.
Creatine i find can help you do a few more extra reps or add etc sets to your workout.

Excelent video. Very useful informatión. I am 63. I have been using creatine for 2 months now.
I was under cáncer trestment fromm 2022 to 2023. I am recovered from that severe illness.
So 6 months ago I retook my training rutines at home.
I have slowly recovered the 7 kilos I lost during my health crisis.
Since I was in the middle of my trestment I got informed of how to improve my diet. And I am 90% vegetarian now.
I am planning to start using HMB in next may and I apareciate the info you provide about both creatine and HMB. I am positive that this combination will help get to my weight goal of 80-82 kilos.
    Regards.

I was about to dump this and my amino acid and other supplements last month after 4 plus months bench plateau at 175, then of course went into the gym and launched up to 205 over two weeks, so eh, will keep taking them just in case. One more launch phase to 225 is all I ask!

The issue is not whether HMB works. The issue is does it get through your gut lining, past your liver, and into muscle cells. That is a lot of if's.

On bench over past year, I seem to go through 4 month plateaus following by launch up periods gaining 30 lbs in bench. If others do this also and it is a general situation where gains are just not linear but periodic, then a 10 week study in sports medicine is just bunk science as the results depend on the subjects as to where they were in this cycle when tested. The minimum study should be 6 months.

I have not done the loading phase and don't plan to. I'm way up there in age and use creatine and HMB, amino acids and collagen. Use some protein powder, mostly as add in for baked oats for breakfast. I have always had difficulty building muscle, so the fact that I am now, slowly, is a good thing. I started losing handfuls of hair several years ago, before I even tried creatine. Didn't notice any increase with creatine. In desperation, I started using Viviscal, and after a month or so, very little shedding. Switched to SeaNu because it was cheaper by subscription and only lose 2 or 3 hairs a day. Also lots of new coming in. Mystified why creatine would make anyone lose hair.

Maintain muscle mass is important as you age. Muscle mass stimulates your metabolism, bone strength and retention. Elderly people that are hospitalized after a fall can lose up to two pounds of muscle a week while bed ridden, recovering from their injury. Staying active is key. Especially just walking for 30-60 minutes per day. Creatine and HMB aid muscle growth and retention. Creatine has also been shown to aid the brain. Creatine was first developed and used as a sports supplement by the University of Nebraska and used exclusively by the Cornhusker Football program under Tom Osbourne and Strength Coach, Boyd Epply.

I was already using Creatine but I also have been taking HMB for a week now and I definitely notice a difference. My muscles already were pretty dense but now everything is rock hard and I even made some gains in size just doing heavy manual labour. I am taking half the recommended daily dosage and I feel that taking more than that wouldn't be particularly healthy for my body. The results after a week scare me a bit tbh. Most impactful supplement I tried so far.

To the ones claiming that creatine caused their hair loss, you were probably going to lose that hair line anyway lol. I've been taking at least 3 grams(and up to 10 G) daily for almost 15 years, I'm now 38, and it's had zero effect on my hairline and no thinning. I've personally known a couple people that blamed creatine for their receding hairline, but they probably didn't notice that ship had already sailed before they started taking it. Creatine elevates DHT, which can cause hair loss and acne, but that doesn't mean it'll have the same adverse effect on everybody. Sorry for your luck bro.

It takes years and years and years of consistent, intelligent, intense hypertrophy training, combined with great genetics, to put on appreciable amounts of muscle. If one is “working out”, the best advice, regardless of who you are, is to optimize the time you spend in the gym to increase muscle mass and CV fitness. If you’re not optimizing for these in your programming, you’re underinvesting in yourself.

Meat! Meat! And more MEAT! You state that India is high in heart attacks? But Russia has 40% more heart attacks than India, despite Russia being a huge meat-eating country. Egypt is 50% greater than India in heart attacks, another big, developed meat-eating country. Ukraine and Uzbekistan are even worse, and we know that cold climates do not generally produce high instances of veganism.
It is misinformation to associate veganism with high rates of heart attacks, as there are other underlying circumstances, such as water quality and other types of medical care. At one point, the USA was number one for heart diseases, and we were the most meat-eating people on Earth. USA also held the lead in the most colon cancer deaths for a very long time. USA consumed 25% of all the meat globally, and yet represented just 5% of the global population.
MEAT IS NOT THE KEY to long life.

It was insane, that's how much hair I started to lose. Never seen anything like it. And many other people were saying this as well. At first I didn't believe it, and I thought it might be due to Zinc I was also taking. Nope, it was creatine. After about 3 weeks of abstaining, my hair loss stopped completely. Now, I'm taking BCAA and L-glutamine with some hydration drink (with no maltodextrin, which is a pure poison and THE way for insulin resistance) and I've achieved about the same effect as I had with creatine. Creatine ? No, thank you. I love keeping my hair follicles healty.
