FF Saturn is my favorite plug in . I love FabFilter as a whole . I prefer Pro Q 3 over Waves EQ (the one you showed) bc it also has the multiband compressor in it too! Both very good though. Looking to get my hands on R Vox . I love FabFilter C 2, but I want to see what other sounds I can get! Logic comes with pretty compressors too

If u looking to get your 1st pack of non stock plug ins and waves is out of your price range or too complicated for you I wld def suggest the fab filter plugz! I started with the waves a long long time ago and was very overwhelmed and it took me a while to work them into my workflow and even to this day I can still feel like I have so many that I haven't really used to their potential. But about 3 or 4 years ago I got the fabfilter suite and was not only impressed with their simplicity and ease of use, but I was also blown away by their sound quality. I also love the fact that they have one plug in for each thing, not 10 and then some other brands and then some other ones some old engineer made and a million buttons and presets (which can also be great) but I'm talking like your in flow mixing and want a reverb bam, or compressor bam, couple tweaks...done! I also didn't realize for a long time u can do everything the F6 eq he showed in here can do in the Q3. I used to use the F6 for side chains and multi band stuff but then learned how to do all the same stuff on the Q3, which is by far my go to EQ now a days! I've never been a fan of the Saturn but I also dont use a ton of Saturation so yeah. But I wld def recommend the fab filter suite and say they are the best bang for your buck pack and by far #1 for your 1st plug in pack. Hell I might even say that if I got them 1st I wlda never got any waves plugz but I also dont think the fabfilter suite was around when I first started mixing...or atleast not the versions of today...

Devvon, you know the soft clipper by T-Racks I think they changed it to 'Classic clipper' does it still do the same thing? And are there any other soft clippers that make it louder, but also give more headroom?

So there is a thing that's been bothering me a lot, that waves plugins come in two versions mono and Stereo...and I'm so confused on which version should I use for lead vocal mixing, the mono version or the stereo version? Man it's really confusing it would be great if you could help me and maybe other who have the same confusion and for a fact i know there is a good amount of people who have this confusion...So Please...
If you are using it directly on your vocals use MONO. But when you send your vocals so a BUS always use stereo on the bus. Your bus channel should always be stereo and your vocal channel (the one you record on, it has your mic as the input) should already be MONO. I hope this helped.
Honestly on mono signals it’ll automatically force you to use mono plugins and even if you use a mono plugin on a stereo signal it just effects the channels L AND R separately but with the same settings so in essence it doesn’t matter
For me, It depends on the configuration of the channel you are processing. Eg. Stereo plugins for stereo channels and Mono plugins for mono channels.....Hope this helps Big ups my brother Devon👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

It depends on your track. If it’s a mono track use the mono one. If it’s a stereo track then use stereo!

Your input is the level that the plugin picks up from the sound and output is what comes after the plugin processing..
