Love it mate, dished the seaway more than a dozen of times, never caught anything worthy, but it still my favourite place to fish, keep these videos coming mate
Great show ive liked and subbed. Question? you talk about a pipe what do you mean? I'm not an Ozzy ... is it slang for sand bar ? or something else , sorry mate im probably over thinking it , LOL
Hi Johnny the pipe I talk about is an actual pipe running underwater from the mainland to the island and a great place to catch Trevally and Jewfish. Here is a video of a diver swimming along the pipe. ruclips.net/video/2OFqQ4XbAng/видео.html
Terrific video thanks mate. Provided the tide is right, do you have any thoughts on fishing here mid-morning, noon, or mid-afternoon by boat if hey were your only options due to work commitments etc?
You can fish the seaway any time of the day or night I just prefer to fish night, early mornings and late afternoons when it is a bit quieter (less boat traffic). Good luck buddy.
Hi mate, The main stairs next to the Seaway Tower is where the pipe starts and runs all the way across the seaway to South Straddie. It is fairly easy to find on the sounder it looks like an upside down boomerang just off the bottom covered in fish and there usually is a boat or two in the area. Good Luck mate.

very helpful video! Is your explanation about squid fishing at seaway for landbased or boat?
I am fishing from a boat but I am sure you would catch Squid from the rocks over slack water. Good Luck mate.

Do you use a Reef or sand ankor fishing The pipe?
Use a sand anchor mate, a reef anchor won't hold to much sand around the pipe.
Do you only use your downriver near the pipe, or can you use it in the middle or near the end walls?
You can use the downrigger anywhere but it usually works best around the pipe and the deep hole halfway along the south wall. Another good jewie spot.
I just don’t get how you don’t get caught on the rocks. I went to the seaway and just couldn’t see anywhere that I wouldn’t get stuck on the rocks.
Do Jews eat live whiting ?
Yes mate they do the only problem is they die to quickly. I find they work better if you butterfly them.
Good luck mate.
