Yeh mate, another great session.Awesome that you were in so close.Id love to catch a decent snapper on my jet ski,one day.I live at Elanora. You and your dad give me great pleasure watching your adventures together.Dont stop.Cheers
G'day Phil always good to hear from you mate!! Yes we don't usually fish in close so it was definitely an eye opener for us, we will be trying there again for sure! You'd definitely be able to get out and get some on your jetski mate, and the Mackerel in Summer too! Fishing with Dad is what it's all about, thanks mate 🎣😁
Phil, jet ski fishing is the bomb, so much fun. Lots of accessible snapper spots I fish all the time out of Tweed. I get out every weekend I possibly can. Look me up on FB if you need someone to go out with & we can make a plan.
Thanks heaps mate! And you're exactly right there, I didn't have high hopes and it was the first time we'd fished this mark, so it was awesome to actually nail a few 😂 Cheers Josh 🤙🎣
G’day mate, thanks so so much for subscribing, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it! 😁🙌 If you see us out there definitely feel free to come up and say hello! 🎣
My mate used to catch great whites and tiger sharks about that far out as well. You will be amazed how close to shore most species are even the predators.
Thanks mate!! And I appreciate you noticing the camera work, I got a new GoPro from mum and dad for my birthday so I have a couple of camera angles now, I worked a bit harder on this video with the editing too! Tight lines, and thanks for the continued support 🙌🎣😁
Good one Will. That was a great session mate. Nice snapper. Glad to see another one of your vids. With the weather getting a bit colder now, The snapper should be getting good now. Hope you and the family are well. Cheers
Thanks Steiny, yes it was a lot better than I was expecting! I'm glad you enjoyed it mate I haven't been able to post videos as regularly as I would like lately with uni being really busy. Yes the Snapper are definitely coming on the chew mate, hopefully it is a very good season for them, last year wasn't too great for Dad and myself with the weather being terrible everytime we had a free weekend. Hope you're doing well mate it's good to hear from you!
@@willkitching . I was starting to think that my notification bell wasn't working, because I always like your videos, so it was a relief to hear you have simply eased off because of your studies. Hope all is going well in that area mate.
Awesome mate. I just subscribed. Great to see a father and son fishing. I’m new to the area mate. I how you kill it and make a living out of this! It’s actually good to see blokes fishing, and not in a 60k boat!
G'day Daniel thanks so much mate I really do appreciate it!! I absolutely love fishing with Dad, memories that will last forever! Making it a career would be unreal mate, I truly do love it 🙌🎣 I am sure you'll be able to get to know the area pretty quickly mate, what sort of area will you be fishing? And yes the old faithful Haines Hunter does the job - gets us from A to B smoothly and has been lucky enough to have plenty of good fish come over the side 😁👍 Once again thanks so much for the support, I really do appreciate it and I hope to stay in touch and hear about your future fishing sessions 👌 tight lines
G'day Paul thanks so much mate! I agree, that's what it is all about hey! Good times, fishing with family and friends 👌😁🎣 tight lines mate I appreciate the comment
Hahaha one day you will get out there and hook onto some! The good thing is, this was not very far out at all, so almost anyone can go there and try to get some on a calm day. Tight lines and thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Awesome fishing mate ! I want to start boat fishing at Gold Coast but I’m a bit lost on how to start. Would u give me some advises like what gps , sounder , electric motor , u use ? How u find spots marks ? Do you drift or anchor ? Any peace of information will help me ! Cheers mate , loving your videos .
Thanks so much for the comment mate! That boat ramp is actually in Loders Creek, but the problem is the cleaning table and ramp are in the caravan park there, so we just use it when we’re camping there. There is another public boat ramp in Loders Creek on the opposite side, which is nice and protected especially in Northerlies. It’s a great cleaning table facility (in the caravan park), the public/council boat ramps need them too I reckon!
Great Fishing mate, well done were your snaps at the 24’s?? What ramp do you head in at, Ppoint?? Looks good facilities. Cheers legend, well done again mate. I will definitely have to have a crack at the GC this year for a snap😃🙏🎣💪🏽
G'day Mark! This was actually inside the 24's mate, right in close ! It would be similar to fishing Murphy's at the sunshine coast. We use the ramp at Loders Creek as it is nice and protected from the wind and close to the Seaway. Also close to where we come off the highway at Southport. We are using the cleaning table on the opposite side of the creek to where we launch the boat though as the facilities are much better. Definitely get out and have a crack mate I'm keen to come up and fish the sunshine coast too at some stage! Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it 😁🙌🎣
Thanks Justin always good to hear from you mate 😁 this is the Loders Creek boat ramp, however we filleted the fish on the caravan park side as it has a better cleaning table 😂 we actually put in at the public one across the other side of the creek near the bridge. The plastic in the rod holder does it again, coming up trumps with the biggest fish of the day! 😁🎣 Tight lines mate
G'day Phil, I use 20lb braid and a 20lb leader tied together by a double uni knot. Then I just have a couple of metres of leader and thread a ball sinker on, and snell two 4/0 hooks together at the bottom. The ball sinker sits staight on top of the hooks. I will link an old video that I made below, showing how I tie it. It looks like the weather should be awesome for you tomorrow, I hope you get onto some fish mate! Tight lines ruclips.net/video/vLRYCNXVAJg/видео.html
G'day mate!! It's actually a Pflueger 'Torsion' 6-10kg, it's an absolute cracker of a rod! Has caught everything from big Mackerel, to big snapper and reefies 👌 I got it from Doug Burt's TackleWorld years ago. I'd say it's similar to a Wilson live fibre from what I have seen and read about them 👍 cheers mate
Hahaha I can’t give the marks away that easy sadly mate! 😉👍 this was in 30-35 metres of water though, a small bommie with reef/gravel around the edges. Good luck and tight lines 🙌
Hey mate great video good to see some goods snaps in close. Have you got a Facebook page that I could follow if you could link it in reply that would be great cheers mate 👍😁
