Genuinely one of the best essays I’ve seen! Congratulations for your acceptance at Princeton! 🐅 My dream is Rice University! You made the playground seem like a best friend who made you be resilient and motivated you to explore your love for math and physics and other things for your academic learning.
i relate to this essay so strongly. ive watched this video at least 10 times
Thanks! The best essay I heard so far! Hope to study mathematics with you in Princeton next year ;)
“work feverishly on fitch style proofs” 🥵🥵🥵 that brought back memories i forgot i had
fr i wrote this at the height of my suffering from fitch style proofs 😔
So happy for you ! Hope i can be like you one day :)
aw thank you so much! best of luck in the future!!
I really enjoyed this! Your essay was great!
thank you so much! glad you enjoyed it :)
wow this was so helpful! i absolutely loved your essay, so good!
thank you so much, it means a lot!! :)
awwww I set a reminder hehe! pretty excited!
Loved the essay! Will you share your supplementals?
Which common app essay question did you answer for this essay? I feel like this essay fits into a lot of their given prompts so I was curious...
i chose "Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story." i recommend writing the essay first, then choosing the prompt that it best fits-if nothing else, you can always choose the free option!
Sounds like Amy Tan, nice
quick question: are you still offering essay editing through Ad Astra or no? just asking because this video was posted 3 years ago now.
Thank you for this video.
Hi,
I was wondering if you could read your supplements essays
So helpful! Thank you!
happy you found it helpful!!
super helpful!! thank you!
yay of course!!
Loovvee lovvee your essay✨ brilliant job.
Only in the video the music was very distracting in the way of your wonderful writing.
is there a reason why you chose Princeton over MIT? As I looked at your stats I thought you were more interested in math and science I think? Isn't MIT way better for an engineering major?
MIT is really good for engineering! i'm studying math/econ though, and princeton is also strong in those fields. i do have interests beyond stem (creative writing, sociology, policy, etc.) so princeton's liberal arts education was more appealing to me
Waiting for your next video
Such an amazing essay! Thanks for giving me such helpful information, will definitely start on my essay soon 😁
thanks! i'm so glad you found it helpful and best of luck :)
hey Emmy! could you send a link of a doc that has your essay written so I can see it in full?
thanks :D
hello! i am definitely not emmy but i think she’s not sending a link of a doc out of concern for plagiarism, which is very understandable!
This is soo good 😆
Ahh thank you so much!
did you have a college counselor to help edit your essays? It was so good🥺
aw thank you!! i only had my sister and a friend edit it for me:)
amazing!!
I have a question. If I have a similar story and outline, under which prompt do I write it?
you could use the same one i did! mine was "Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, please share your story."
Isn't there some kind of math competition that your school runs going on right now?
yeah 😃
Can I write a common app essay about my life?
What do you guys think about using quotes in your essays?
you can definitely write a good essay with quotes, the prompt of my princeton supplement was actually to write an essay based on a favorite quote! i would say that since these essays have word counts, only use quotes if they actually add to your essay. you want most of it to be your own thoughts.
so this is what you're doing instead of mbmt
i uploaded this last week, i just scheduled it for today >:(
What was the word count
622 words! the maximum is 650
