My wife makes this every year. Tops with mini M&M's. So addictive
I have made 2 batches this week so far for my platters i give out to co-workers, neighbors, businesses and family. I bake and make candy for 4 days then makevstuff as i go and send it out. Platter week is so satisfying and exhausting at the same time lol.
Another GREAT !!! Idea!! Salt and Chocolate!! Crushed peppermint candy, nuts, or crushed hot cinnamon candy on top!! Yum!! TY! Catherine. ❤️🥰👏

I used to make these to take to work for a treat for my coworkers. They were gone in a flash. Our receptionist particularly loved them and ask for them often. I have made them with club crackers and the saltine, both were good. The recipe I have has longer cooking times for both the stove top and baking. I also used a regular sized cookie sheet which provides a bit thicker layer of both the Carmel and chocolate. I used chopped walnuts to for topping. Always turned out perfectly. I was skeptical when i first tried these, but they really are good. T hank you for the recipe.
Been making these for years, they are so good. I top mine with finely chopped walnuts. I package them in Christmas bags , tie up with ribbon for a small gift. They freeze well.
I also just add the nuts. No chocolate needed and I break mine in squares. I use club crackers. Addicting.

These look good! Years ago I made something similar to this. I used graham crackers, brown sugar/butter topping & chopped pecans…no chocolate. They were delicious. The chocolate would have been a great addition🎄🤗☃
I use saltines, ritz, grahams and chocolate grahams. Sprinkle with toasted nuts of your choice or sprinkles, or a combo of both. They are addictive!
I’ve never tried this before. Looks so delicious. Wonder if they would be good with crushed candy canes or red and green m&ms. Might have to try these. Thank you for sharing.

I have also been making this recipe for years. It is a winner. I know it as saltine cracker toffee. I like to make mine using milk chocolate morsels and toasted chopped pecans. There are so many delicious variations.

There is no difference in the two sides of foil. If it is non-stick foil, both sides are non-stick. The "shiny side" of the foil is just the way it came out after being rolled. Neither side is better than the other.

I have literally been making these for over 10 years from my family and they have always called this Christmas crack lol I have recently started using milk, chocolate chips and peanut butter chips and swirling them together. So delicious.!!!! Have a very Merry Christmas 🎄

Your husband is so cute! We have an older Jeep Cherokee and he is always working on it. I call. It The Beast.Moatly cause of the gas it eats up! 😑But we keep for the winters when you have to have 4×4 to be let up to the. Mountain for work. I have been wanting to to make. This for year's. 😊You make every look so simple.
