- Road Trip South: Baja California to Baja Sur | Flying Devil Rays - Bay of LA | RV Baja Episode 3
Take a road trip with us as we head south from Baja California to Baja Sur, and spend a few days boondocking at Bahía de Los Ángeles. We camped on the nature reserve La Gringa and woke up to the sound of flying devil rays jumping out of the water. Plus the snorkeling was epic!
Check out what the roads are like as we make our way to Mulege. We even rescued a lovely family of four who's car broke down on the one to Bay of LA.
As always thanks for watching! Don't forget to like and subscribe for more RV Baja adventures as we head toward the bottom of the Baja Peninsula.

Really great to hear about you rescuing that family. Have a great rest of your trip!
Thank you! 😎
SERIOUSLY you guys are awesome for saving that family .
As for those flying rays WOW 👌.
Another great video.
Thank you so much!! And it was a great experience all around 😊
Your dogs wanted some flautas 🪈 😂😂
They want everything we eat🤣
Next time you get to Bay of LA, you should check out the little museum in town. Lots of interesting history in the area.
Yes and 20 years ago we took alot of clothing for women and children and dropped off at the church.
Man does your video ever bring back memories! My wife and I spent about 4 months down there but unfortunately we were not set up for camping but will be next time for sure!
thanks for sharing!
Awesome. And we highly suggest it. Thanks for watching!
Also, there are petroglyphs (Montevideo) a short off road from the road to Bay of LA. Fascinating setting there.
Thanks for the info! We definitely want to visit more petroglyph sites next time we go down. Especially the caves near San Ignacio. We had no idea how incredibly well preserved the paintings are down there.
San Borja I think is the name of a 275 year old mission 11 miles south of the road going in to LA bay
Tacos look good
I hope your windshield survives with all that road construction.
So far so good👍🏽
The strange trees you class with the Ocotillo are Cirios AKA Boojum trees and they are indigenous to that area and only grow there.
Yes!! I had to learn all about them. They’re lovely. Baja is so spectacular!
@@weekdayadventures I'm in love with the enchanted peninsula and am so fortunate to have made it my home.
Hope you both have many more pleasant adventures here.
Thank you!! We’d love to make it our home one day as well. ❤️
the word you were looking for is Adventure bikes.
Yes! Thank you.
What time of the year did you guys go to Baja?
We crossed the boarder in the beginning of October and will be crossing back just before Christmas😎
Did you guys try the short cut road to La Gringa or into town then up? Haha sorry for all the questions 😜
We went into town for some groceries before heading out to La gringa so no short cut. And no prob!
Road into BOLA is fixed
when traveling through those areas how is the gps working for you
It comes and goes with cell service but a lot of the time we didn’t have gps. When we had internet would study the maps and remember distances in kilometers. It’s all clearly marked on the highway and a lot of the popular beaches/destinations are also marked👍🏽
We did meet a family who had their Starlink running full time on top of their van!! They had gps everywhere they went🤣
There’s a gas station in Puertocitos.
It wasn’t open when we passed through:/
