Hi. Im from Indiana. I learned to surf on the great lakes. (YEP WE SURF GOOGLE IT) Can be kinda cold but a crowd is about 20 people. Used to be about 5 15yrs ago or so. Anyway. Im almost 60. After I raised my son I had planed on taking a winter down there surfing and riding my dirtbike. However in the past few years I was just scared after reading all the stuff going on there. Im looking for info on maybe a small coastal town that would be good to spend a winter. It looks like you all know it fairly good. Could we talk? Let me know. Maybe email. Thanks so much Bryan

I like your videos and just purchased and downloaded your Baja Guide. One big complaint- the background of the download guide is all black and the print is white, so I used up a $45 ink cartridge printing it all up!! I wanted to have a hard copy with me on my travels. So, so wasteful. I'm sure a lot of your followers would appreciate a simple guide with black print and a white background that doesn't use so much ink!! Otherwise, love the guide and can't wait to get down to Baja. Thank you and safe travels.

My friend was coming home at night from Loreto and hit a cow. He kept on driving because Mexico subscribes to "Napoleonic Law" during an accident, guilty until proven incident, fines, etc. It's also spooky at night not only because of the wild life but also there are oncoming vehicles with NO LIGHTS.

January 2021 The actor Christopher Reeves (his autobiography is definitely worth reading and has at least one very funny paragraph) was reported to travel to Baha to watch the whales. The autobiography of Brooke (film (about her life at Harvard) with the help of Christopher Reeves is free to watch on You Tube and is definitely worth watching). Two more great films about whales and dolphins is 'Blackfish' and 'The Cove' about the actor 'father' role in the tv series he regrets, called 'Flipper.' Please type in a 'hello' in the comments section at the You Tube site called 'The Dolphin Project' with Ric O'Barry. You two are living the life that the Yale graduate probably wanted to live. Her parents published her thoughts in her book 'The Opposite of Loneliness' by Marina ....She wrote a chapter about a whale. G'Day

Technically not necessary if you are in MX for less than 72 hours, or if you stay in Baja California, which is the northern state in the peninsula. Baja California Sur is the southern half, which you enter at Guerrero Negro, and you are required to have the FMM there. Further, your Mexican insurance is likely void if you are illegal... which you are without a visa, which is what the FMM is. You will be asked for your documents if you are in an accident... and at that point, you will wish you had paid the $25 or so.
