Mamamoo has a bunch of old funny retro songs, Dingga Dingga is much closer to Mamamoo style than HIP will ever be. HIP was the first "heavier" song with more dancing, little mics and stuff like that. Whoever said Dingga Dingga is a departure from Mamamoo's usual style simply doesn't know Mamamoo very well.

I loved the song so much, it’s fun and doesn’t take it self too seriously, it is obviously not their best but it did what a pre-release is there to do. It gets the hype up, and after such a long time had passed from a full Mamamoo comeback it was completely necessary to first do something like this and set up the title which looks amazing from the teasers! The only thing about gogobebe is that they make better use of their vocals. But I agree that Dingga is not the best. I'm hoping for a Destiny-type of track soon, or something that continues down this line of blending their old and new styles (didn't watch the teasers for Aya, pls don't spoil!)
PD we actually had the same thoughts on Dingga (it's a pre-release btw. MMM's official comeback is on Nov. 3). Anyways I don't know if you had noticed but there really are a lot of various easter eggs in that song. Specifically, the ones that I noticed are the ff: 1. In the first part when MMM was ordering ice cream, the one handing them such is actually one of Wheein's characters from Hip. 2. The choreo to the part "na na na na na dingga dingga" kinda looks similar to the choreo in Solar's solo specifically the "set fire fire fire whoo" part. 3. The ice cream concept where they enjoy it together is similar to what they did in the Wind Flower mv. There may be still a lot more that I probably missed. It's a cute bop for me, I was like a bit underwhelmed at first because I thought it was the actual comeback but I actually think it's perfect for a pre-release, like a good contrast to the much "darker" song they're releasing on Nov 3rd !

I like this comeback a lot when u think of mamamoo u usually think big 5 to 6 figure production cost for the set but this set is like 2 colorful rooms and them just playing around and having fun and they managed to do it in a way that didn't look cheap and those camera movement made the mv look soo badass the mv totally reflected the message of the song which is in my book a huge win

mamamoo is always labelled as a vocal group and many people don't know how amazing their dance line (wheein and moonbyul) is, so i loved that they've finally included a dance break in an mv!!!

As a Pre-release Single is an absolute baaaaangerrrr, it keeps me calm from my social anxiety when I go outside and happy (hear it on repeat on an on) and they explained that it was to bring that fun that people want in the pandemic but in a safe way (so we feel undestand, much appreciated) AND MOONBYUL WITH SHORT HAIR!! As a Pre-release Single is an absolute baaaaangerrrr, it keeps me calm from my social anxiety when I go outside and happy (hear it on repeat on an on) and they explained that it was to bring that fun that people want in the pandemic but in a safe way (so we feel undestand, much appreciated) AND MOONBYUL WITH SHORT HAIR!! Mamamoo is my bias, no need for explanation, it explains itself.
