Please, please, please, a side by side with the Clara Color with external light, frontlight, idealy natural inside/outside light from 0 to 100%, etc... basically a "Carta1300 vs Keleido 3". I need to get a new ebook reader since my 13yo Kindle died. I'm a 90% text book reader, but also 10% manga reader, with some colorized. Is the Kaleido 3 not too bad compared to the astonishing Carta 1300 for text only?
After the unboxings and reviews, we are doing side by sides and Kindle comparisons, yes

@@goodereader If I may, what's your quick opinion if your were in my case (90% text book, 10% manga with some colorized)? Clara BW or Clara Color? (purely tech advice, price doesn't matter) Thanks a lot :) cannot wait for the BW full review and side by sides!
@@sachadmitriev589forget the 10% colorized and make this your specific book reader for novels only. This is great mainly for paperback books and since you only read 10% colored maybe you will be happier making that choice. I preordered Kobo Color understanding that I'm getting a bigger, faster, and colored screen plus access to google drive and libby with the sacrifice of a dimmer default screen compared to this BW version. Some people highly disprove of the Colors' default screen since they are simply novel readers. Idc of the dimmer screen, I started with Kobo Touch, that one don't even have frontlight and I was perfectly fine with it if you ask my opinion.
@goodereader please do a comparison with Boox Note Air3 and Air3c!
The Kaleido 3 looks really bad. It ruins the e-paper aesthetic. Go with the monochrome display

Hi. Still waiting for your review on this BW version in comparison with Kindle Basic 2022 and Kobo Clara 2e. Been holding back on this purchase until I watch your review. 😅😅
What's the difference between Clara Bw and Clara 2E?
I would love to know in the review how the typing is in comparison to the 2e. One problem I have with 2e is the typing notes (on some highlighted text) is SO LAGGY. I'm not a super speedy typist by any means, but it struggles to keep up often omitting a bunch of letters because it takes forever to input a single letter.

They don’t give you google drive access on this but only offer that I the libra. A 30 dollars cell phone can do it. So you spend 150 dollars and have to plug it to your pc for book uploading?? In2024?
There will likely be a Dropbox hack as there is for the Clara 2E. Gets the job done.
Is it laggy? Similar Clara 2E quite laggy
This e-ink is perfect for strict novel readers. If this Carta 1300 came in a Libra form factor as well, maybe I would give enough consideration but since it wasn't, I preordered the Libra Color. It's best all rounder ebook reader, bigger with page turning buttons, faster cpu, access to google drive and libby, plus it's colored so ideal also for comics, magazines and textbooks with the sacrifice of a dimmer screen. I grew up reading newspapers and reading with lampshades, I would not disprove the improvements simply because it's dimmer, considering Kobo's frontlight seem brighter compared to other ebooks in the market

Just make sure the bottom border isn't covered. It'll fit but the USBC port is just slightly off (which means you can't charge it with the case on it the bottom is not open). My case that just covers the corners fits just fit, just a little tight and slightly shorter.

@@kellytone92 Just to let you know that my BW arrived and my old Clara 2E case fits perfectly. Even the USB port is perfectly aligned with it. Most impressed.

Both of the bottom languages are traditional Chinese but with different methodology of how they input text. As they don't use pinyin.

I wonder if it has the same broken kernel as with libra 2 so you cannot read books for a long time using KOReader.

I've been trying to figure out which e reader to buy for a few days now and since pocketbook verse pro is too expensive for me and I dont want to lose on the screen quality with regular verse Im considering kobo
please when you make an actual review could you mention the differences between this and the clara 2e. I'm pretty sure I'll get one of these but in my country the bw is cheaper and I'm not sure why, is it worse?

All three of the new devices they released are all made in China
It appears that ever since the Nia, which was also made in china, they have moved all of their production out of Taiwan

I have many latest generation e-readers, including color ones, from many brands but for me at the moment the best remains the Kindle Paperwhite.

May I ask why the Paperwhite?
Libra 2 is my favorite right now, way more crisp and better contrast than any of the current kindles
Kindle Paperwhite with full flushed screen has a glare. Not much but enough that it’s annoying.
