There are a few ways to look at this. You can repaint the text,(which I will assume you have tried) you could also increase the layer size for just the text. So if your text was .1mm you can try to increase the z height to .2 or .4mm.(turn off uniform scale) This will push the text above "flush" you can use the "move" tool to push back down. I have followed this to the T and tried over and over. As soon as I slive, the main object takes over the text and it is no logner visible. I have even tried to paint it again. I am running the latest version of Bambu Studio. Very frustrating.
Hello, thanks for reaching out. You are probably running into a somewhat common issues that didn't crop up for in in this video. There is an "order of operations" for assembled/merged parts. Its a simple fix however. You just need to "move" the main part above the text parts in object process. Better explained here. ruclips.net/video/DxFQfYj-baM/видео.html
@@ashleys3dprintshop Thanks for the reply! I did do this first. After playing with it a little more, I got it to where i could see bits of the text after slicing, but there is no way it would be readable. I closed the proejct and will try to start over when I can find a solution.
@@aaronscalise7682 How "thick" in the z axis is your text/image? I recommend at least 2 layers worth. So at a .2mm layer height then the text should be at least .4mm high. Also you mentioned it may not be readable are you making the text small? If so there are a few options. Smaller nozzle, or change line width. Arachne wall generator tries to automatically change the line width but it may not always work. Full topic *Line width* ruclips.net/video/K6-qhX2S4IY/видео.html Actual fix in action on .4mm or .2mm nozzle. ruclips.net/video/9PrcIl67nw4/видео.html But if line width is your issue and you are using a .4mm nozzle try changing your line width to .3mm.
@@aaronscalise7682 once the text is embedded into the model just changing the z height may throw off the whole model. Sometimes it's good to right click, separate into objects. However, as soon as I create the negative part the color disappears. What am I doing wrong here?
Hello, thank you for your question. I think I might have a solution for you. Go to this video about 8 minutes 45 seconds in it covers some more text techniques

like the video but im trying to figure out how to do this but two sided
Hello, thanks for reaching out.
There could be a few ways to do double sided items. Ideally I would flip the item, add the part and use the "move tool" (m key) to position it

Also there have been some updates for adding text that could help.

So I got the logo onto the Bambu app but my ? Is if I can remove the corners so it’s just the shape of the logo right now it’s in a square shape please help me.
Hello. Sorry about the delay. There is a way to "trim" out a shape using mesh boolean intersection.

Or depending on how the model is constructed you try right clicking and separate into parts then reassembling them with merge.
Can you import an image and have it paint over uneven surfaces?
I think this may be helpful. You can take an SVG file and have to wrap around uneven surfaces.

Neat.
im not sure what im doing wrong, but i followed this video down to the T, and for some reason, my logo wont go down to the 1st layer fully. My image is an SVG, ive assembled/merged the models together, ive adjusted for the thickness through the Z height, etc. I have no idea what im doing wrong, If you have any insight, im all ears lol
Hello. Sorry about the late response. Are you adding an SVG to a part, adding text to an SVG, or both to a part?
What about adding a logo onto a football helmet?
Hello, if you are adding an item to a curved surface there are a few options.
Here is a video covering the steps

Having a challenge with this on the text/name portion. Printing a logo in orange and teal and that portion is perfect, colors pop. Below it I have a name in orange also and in a larger font/size than the logo. But the name portion of the print almost comes of “hazy/faded”. Almost as if I’m getting a black layer somewhere that should be orange. Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong?
There are a few ways to look at this. You can repaint the text,(which I will assume you have tried) you could also increase the layer size for just the text.
So if your text was .1mm you can try to increase the z height to .2 or .4mm.(turn off uniform scale) This will push the text above "flush" you can use the "move" tool to push back down.
It's not explained in this video but it is explained in this one. ruclips.net/video/F7L2_R4zEXI/видео.html
@@ashleys3dprintshop My part thickness until it changes height (starts creating a slot) is .79 mm, so sending it to print now with a text thickness of .65 to see if that solves my issue, feel like it will!
That worked perfectly! Thank you for the guidance!
I can't seem to get this to work with current version of Bambu software. Has anyone else had success?
Nope, same issue. It doesn't work in version 1.9.7.52 for me.
I may have to revisit some of this as the newer versions renamed and changed "assemble" to "merge", but the core functions still work.
@@ashleys3dprintshop I followed it exactly, even with the different word choice for the option. They must have changed more than just the name of it.
Are you using a 4 or a 2 nozzel to print that ?
Hello. That particular model was printed with a .4mm nozzle.
Cannot for the life of me get the to work. Watched the video about 5 times now. Trying to print a NAPA auto parts logo and every svg i try to import always seems to be butchered in the slicer, making it into a thousand parts and impossible to paint.
Nice, but not working for me, i have inserted my logo, put on object, but after slicing I have just one colour 😞The logo is like disapearing in the other part
Sorry about the late reply.
There can be a few reasons why a logo may not show up
1 there isnt enough layers to show up
But the big one for most folks is the order of the parts
Here is a quick video about it.

If you have any questions please reach back out.
Paint it 🫵
my logo needs a backing so its in one piece but i cant get it to work can someone help please
I'll try to assist if I can. The backing for your logo are you trying to make a your logo flush or slightly raised in this backing? like this
ruclips.net/video/IeEX6vkzP4Y/видео.html
For flush
You can right click your logo
left click "add part"
Pick your shape
And surround your logo.
making sure the z height of the added part is the same.
How do I had the logo on a tubular our round object?
Hello. There are other videos that build up to this one but this should show you the basic steps.

Arachne wall generator tries to automatically change the line width but it may not always work.

ruclips.net/video/K6-qhX2S4IY/видео.html
Actual fix in action on .4mm or .2mm nozzle.
ruclips.net/video/9PrcIl67nw4/видео.html
But if line width is your issue and you are using a .4mm nozzle try changing your line width to .3mm.
@@ashleys3dprintshop it was set to .1 but then seemed to have changed itself to 2 on its own
@@aaronscalise7682 once the text is embedded into the model just changing the z height may throw off the whole model.
Sometimes it's good to right click, separate into objects. Make the z height adjustments, then merge them together again.
Just be aware when you separate into objects everything falls to the plate.
you need to buy a subscription now...
Sadly yes. There are a few free options out there but I haven't found one that consistently produced SVG files I like.
Cannot for the life of me get this to work, i have tried this video and the other video and everytime my text just dissapears completely. Driving me insaneeeeee
My only chalenge now is to get the glue from the plate out of the print. Have you manged to print on the cold plate with no glue? Using PLA. Thanks
I should probably do basic overview of what I use but I only used glue stick for the first week I had my printer the washed it off and never looked back.
I am a kick starter backer so I've had my printer for a year and over 3300 hrs printed.
I used a product called "Nano Polymer" from vision miner($45 for 120ml.) It's little pricy initially but a single bottle has lasted well over a year depending on application.
Leaves no tacky residue and I'm still on my original cool plate sticker. I run every print on cool plate settings of 35C on all my plates (cool plate, pei or peo) . I usually print in pla but the vision miner works on nearly everything.

It would be nice if we could get that in South Africa.LOL@@ashleys3dprintshop
@@tonymarreiros3186 I haven't used this brand personally but TH3D Bed Cement is similar and they ship to South Africa and seems less expensive.
I used Windex as the release agent on my Cool Plate for PLA. I’m still using the original sticker on my Kickstarter printer.
@@cbgslinger You are just like me. I don't know why people dunk on the cool plate but I too am still on my original kick starter plate. About 80% of my 3500 hours were on the 😎 plate.
You can print pla with the top and door closed. You don't need to crank the chamber fan, and you don't need to heat beyond 35c the bed.
Only difference is I haven't tried windex. Lol have you tried the pei, peo or other plates?
logos world sucks.
