    Damn. Probably the best 3d print video I've seen all year. No joke. Instant subscribe. I'm not into non functional prints, but the priciples here and steps are gold. Getting AI to come up with dimensionality accurate parts will be revolutionary as so much time can be saved without having to mess with CAD

    • @bambamprint
      @bambamprint  2 месяца назад +2

      Ya, I can't even imagine where we will be in another year. Can you imagine telling it to give you a specific object and being able to specify dimensions and all kind of other attributes?

    If you happen to have fusion 360 commercial license they have new beta features that streamlines this process. They have a new AI image generator built into the software, only thing it is lacking compared to this method is the ability to select specific areas of the image to prompt, but other than that its the same process just native in the design software. It also has a new feature that will auto-generate a sketch directly from a canvas image. It's pretty sweet.

    I have not yet opened my P1S. How do you send data files to the printer? Is it like a regular printer where you use a cable like a USB? Is it simply putting a file onto a USB drive or SD card? No one ever includes this with the informational "how to"s. Maybe it's just trivial but to me I want to plan this execution properly. I am keenly interested in privacy as I have heard some things which frighten me. If I need to use a computer to feed the data, I'm not going to have that computer into the internet as an example.
    I understand the P1S comes with a camera which will build time-lapse videos which can be monitored from an app on a phone or a computer. But, once again, privacy concerns. Is it required to have the printer connected to the internet in order to use it or is it only for access to such apps? Do these apps send data to Bambu Lab before it reaches my smartphone? I have had sad experiences with Samsung appliances where they want to send ALL data to their servers before I can get access to it. That's a big problem for me. So I have disabled internet access to all of those devices and will simply do without those features. So I'm very interested in what I can do to limit privacy exposure while still being able to do fun and useful things.

    If you use an AI to design an element or an entire piece… do they own the rights to it? I’d imagine they do, but figured I’d ask. Can’t imagine I could ask GPT to design something, then I print and sell it lol.
    I know that wouldn’t stop many people anyways. Seeing watermarked images in media today is so common place, people don’t even try to hide it when they straight up steal someone else’s work.

      GPT is a tool like any other software is. If you design a part in SOLIDWORKS is it your part or Dassault Systems? I don't know the legal parts where you accept to sell your soul in terms and conditions, but it still is something YOU created. Additionally, if you don't explicitly say you used GPT in designing, how will anyone know?

      Just had a glance through their TOS. They do give the person the rights to the output, whatever that may be. The only stipulation is that the person must state that the media was created with AI. If I used it to write a story or make an image and claimed it was 100% my work, I’m in breach. Fair enough.
      No clue how they’d track it all though, in hopes of keeping people honest 🤷‍♂️
