UPDATE! I completely messed up explaining my second tripod print. You can see it in ml last video about the shelf. The time stamp is 14:10 and it is a lense holder because my tripod is to weak to hold my camera. What software do I use? The Software I use: ruclips.net/video/HxcP6bHyjJI/видео.html Shapr3D (student version) I think it's super easy but harder to make changes afterwards. So right now I'm going through the pain to learn Fusion360 which I think is better for more complex things and changing the drawings mid or after the design. Shapr3D 3D I can just recommend the full version/student version, otherwise the export quality is horrible.
I had same problems with Shapr3d It's a great piece of software limited by poor marketing decisions. 'Learn It!' is a great channel for tutorials on fusion as well as 'Product Design Online'
Nichts gegen dich, aber als beispiel dafür, das viele hauptsächlich schwachsinn drucken, ein video zu zeigen das schon "Ridiculess 3d prints" heißt zu nehmen ist schon na ja
Fusion360 is amazing and a huge pain in the ... at the same time. It can be quite buggy at times, especially with patterns and parametric prints, but it's my favorite affordable tool so far. I can really recommend the videos from youtube Kristian Laholm for learning to use Fusion 360. His videos have helped me a lot, especially with things like hex patterns.
I try Shapr3D, very nice, easy to use. But in free version like you said export quality is bad. Now I use Plasticity. Still easy to use app, and I just pay once, no subscription etc.

I am in the middle on this. I love making practical things with my printer, but there is joy in printing other things. I will print some things and then after they stop bringing that joy, I give them away to someone else for them to bring joy to.
@@floatypiet Your unicycle relies on lithium-ion batteries that pose environmental concerns due to their toxicity. Speeding down walking paths is dangerous to others. Your solution for having the same water bottle as your roommate is to create more plastic waste? Just write on it with a marker and put your id card in your sock And when considering gym visits, it’s worth reflecting on the environmental impact. Gyms consume significant electricity and occupy space that might be repurposed to support critical needs, such as housing for the homeless. Or... the answer lies somewhere in between. Maybe there's a place for utiltity AND joy.
Designing small parts which solve life problems IS fun, way more enjoyable than some random toy. Everyone prints a few when they're new, and they always just end up collecting dust until they're tossed.
@@tagg8233 So instead of printing "random toys" for my kids, I should print "more practical random things", such as doorstops? As far as I'm aware, having fun or enjoying something is also a "life problem", and debating on whether one person's 3D prints are enjoyable to another person is rather meaningless, don't you think?
The print I use every day (which also makes me smile) is a silverware tray customized to the size and shape of my silverware. Another "things in the kitchen" category item was a cover for my new potato peeler. I cut myself on the sharp blade while reaching into the drawer for something. So, a few hours later, I had a safety cover designed and built. Great video. Loved the humor and passion you show. New subscriber.
Thank you ✌🏼 haha sometimes you need to hurt yourself first to come up with a solution. I’m glad you’re enjoying printing and creating solutions as much! :)
I've been designing stuff in 3D for over 20 years and it's great to finally have an outlet for testing my designs in the real world. Like you, I have printed dozens of little functional pieces to repair or improve objects and processes in my life. Also like you I derive great pleasure from seeing my designs in use.
Love the elegant overengineering. One of my favorite traits of my German brothers and sisters. Channeling my heritage across the pond solving everyday "inconveniences". Keep up the creative solutioning!
I think the great thing about this video is that it doesn’t just give us neat things to print that you created (since many are customized to the things in your life), but teaches us to be observant of the things we do that could use improvement! So many inconveniences are overlooked because we’re so conditioned to the way things are. Kudos from a 60 something engineer!
A well delivered video, it's clear you have experience and skills in editing things together. The narration was delivered at a good pace, with pauses to separate ideas but never stopping long enough to lose interest. As for the content, it's a good approach to practical printing. Highlighting what works *for you* is a good first step for the rest of us to start thinking about what might work *for us*. And, in fact, you've reminded me that I need some sort of pegboard/multiboard/tool holding thing next to my electronics work bench, so now I'm looking at my room trying to figure out where I'd want to put such a thing and how to rearrange my shelves and cabinets to make it all work. So you've inspired at least one person to do something!
That's awesome to hear! I chose Multiboard because it's supposed to boore stable and takes less filament than honeycomb. On-top it's pegboard compatible (I think). I would go with it again. Happy printing🤗
Fantastic work man. I need to print a bunch of these for my studio. Love those clamps for your desk to basically hide everything behind the frames. Also... shapr3D for the win
The reason practical prints don't get as much hype is because they are so user specific. It's often "i have this weird latch that broke on my 2008 Samsung vacuum" or "I need to mount my camera to my toaster oven" the kind of things a 3d printer is INVALUABLE for, but that only really works for your specific situation. They are often custom designs for your circumstances or at the very least a niche usecase.
"I want to mount my video doorbell to the my vinyl siding, but the I want it flush and not with a big ugly air pocket for stuff to caught behind it" Yup, totally didn't describe me a T
😂 tip of the riceberg made me chuckle and thank you for breaking down your water bottle into gallons so that I could understand! 😂 Great video, tschuss!
Great video. Stuff like this has made my 3d printer invaluable in my house. My 2 young boys 6 and 8, will ask me all the time to print stuff for them, sometimes toys, sometimes to fix toys, and sometimes just random useful things. It’s cool seeing them at such a young age be resourceful to make things work for them. Also my wife, she thought the printer was stupid, until I printed desk organizers for her at work, then all of her co-workers wanted one too. Then printing organizers for her car, and holders for her hair straightener, and fixing the fan chain pulls so that it’s easy to figure out which chain is the light versus the fan. Now instead of saying can we order whatever to fix something on Amazon she will ask if I can print it first. Not only that but I have a folder on my computer just for useful objects I’ve printed around the house. This way if they ever break or I need another one, I can quickly find it and hit print.
I think the best part about this video is watching how much joy 3d printing has brought to your life! The convenience and joy it brings you over a successful and useful print is amazing! Keep up the work and positive vibes!
I guess anyone happy with 3D printing technology on planet 🌎 is Mr Piet 😂 He is living the life at its best Printing small little things that keep him proud at home I hope I will do same soon in my life I felt happy 😊 watching ur videos Thank you for making everything that u make
I occasionally had moments when I wished I had a 3D printer for a specific project. Not until I bought my 3D printer (a Bambu Lab A1, which I love) do I wonder how I managed without a 3D printer for so long. Great video, Piet! You sparked a far more practical way for me to think about using my printer. Your sense of humor is fantastic, my friend. On a side note, I love Stuttgart. I lived in Fielderstadt and took the train to Vaihingen everyday, until I moved to Vaihingen. I loved riding my bicycle to work (Patch Barracks), to the airport, pretty much everywhere! Such a wonderful city with so many forest paths leading to something beautiful: a fountain, a restaurant, a castle. I sure miss being there.
Finally someone said it. If I were an youtuber I'd have said it a long time ago. The closest thing to useless I do are toys I gift kids. Cheaper than buying crappy toys and they go nuts about them with custom stuff.
Great job selling me on buying a 3D printer. You are correct most prints are either for the printer or kinda niche cases. I think your prints are inspiring.
i like the clips like you use on your rice. Here's something I do that might help you. Instead of cutting the entire top off of the bag....cut off a corner at 45 degrees. Then you can reseal it with a short clip and even use a larger opening if you want. (I create ones for anything on the A1 mini using this tactic).
Well the best thing about 3D printing is you can make almost anything. So I make a mix of practical tools and fun silly things and decorations. It doesn’t have to be one OR the other, it can be both.
Seeing your enthusiasm just gave me a real lift. Thank you! I’m looking at volunteering with disabled people, making modifications so their existing equipment can meet their needs. I was toying with learning 3d printing and this video has convinced me to go for it.
It's a german Dödelmagnet. Everyone has one of them in the household . Great ideas..I did similar things with my 3d printer. First of all I solve every problem at home and overengineered a lot of prints. Keeping on with the good work ! P.s. Didn't know winter starts in October in Stuttgart 😂👍
I recently purchased a 3D printer and have been using it to print useful items that help organize my life, fix minor problems, and make my daily routine easier. It’s wonderful to find a video like yours that is useful, keep it up 👍
90% of the large 3d print channels on youtube shows you how to print garbage. influencer are promoting things you dont need just to waste our money on garbage. In short i kinda agree with you.
1:35 into having watched anything made by you to hear you say "and i created this thing, and this was absolutely useless" had me dying! I love seeing you explain your process and show your progression with your designs. I am going through the exact process with my new journey into 3d printing and harnessing the power of being able to create useful things that i used to think, "man i wish something like this existed" and not just toys and trinkets. I can't wait to check out more of your videos!
Great video, thanks Pete! Something I printed and happily use on a daily basis are two coffee tampers. They exactly fit the basket thingies so tamping (squishing) the coffee grounds is quick and no coffee spills up the sides. The tops say “Yes, but coffee first” and “Push it real good”, which after 5+ years still make me smile on a daily basis.
Tha n you so much for your comment Graham! I appreciate it! That is so cool that you're enjoying that print for 5+ years already! I'm curious what I'll still keep uaiyin 5 years!
Haha I don’t have a 3d printer yet… getting one after our move from Alaska to Colorado, but watching this video the one thing that I thought of was a tamper… years ago my first machine it took FOREVER to find someone (found in Australia on eBay) to custom make the strange sized tamper I needed. I have a rocket now so a little easier but would LOVE to make a custom one. Great call on the tamper
Great to see some USEFUL prints being printed!! The bag clip is genius. If I may, when you're pouring out your rice, flip the bag 180° so the spout is at the top of the bag and all of the rice is below it. It prevents any rice spilling when you're ending the pour because all of the rice is below the spout. (works well with liquids also)
American here! Anything less than a gallon of liquid is usually measured in fluid ounces (the volume of an ounce of water). While most Americans agree that metric is better, this is one of the few US measurements that isn't complete nonsense 😂
Really great video! Some of my favorite prints: 1. Shower phone holder I designed myself to echo sound forward - so I can listen to podcasts is the shower without futzing with Bluetooth. 2. Battery holder for AA and AAA batteries. 3. A custom frozen waffle holder I designed myself to fit in my freezer's built-in ice bucket. With easy slide lid I can put in 10 waffles, ditch the packaging, and also keep the waffles safe from freezer burn.
Ich bin voll bei Dir, es müssen nicht die großartigen Dinge sein, sondern die, die Dein Leben einfacher machen. Mit dem dem 3D-Printer hat man es selbst in der Hand. I use my 3D printer on a daily basis.
I like how you print useful, "needed", items. It inspires me to look around my home to see what i need and can then print it instead of going out and purchasing it! Thanks!!!
The best thing about 3d printer is you can tailor solutions to unique problems. I have a solar setup in my shed and needed to create platforms to separate some components in a small area. I created each one, and even a custom mount for the inverter power button. I'm sure there are a ton of applications in a shop.
Don't be silly, In 12 months from now you will be printing useless things or you will sell your printer or it will collect dust. I am 8 months into 3D printing and half of the design I printed are related to 3D printing. The other half is home improvement like plant vases, woodshop improvement like storage bins etc..I print everyday because I made a list and the list is still several pages long :)
Dunno. My brother in law gave me his old ender and it sat in my garage for 2 years and then a lightbulb went off. I needed something made. That little printer sucked. An A1 recall later and I’ve now had my P1S for 10 months. Now my all my kitchen drawers are perfectly overly organized and my toolbox is coming along nicely. I’ve learned enough of the basics of onshape and fusion360 to make things the hard way lol, and I’ve designed and printed a handful of various things that either fix or improve things. So far, no nick knacks, well until Oct. The wife loves Halloween, so I’ve printed a few Halloween items. Otherwise I’m good lol. As for 3d printing things for 3d printers, the Bambulab machines are damn near appliances. Had to print a few spools (for refills) and a respooler, AMS doesn’t like cardboard. For the A1 I only printed a wall mount for AMS lite and a couple spools adapters. Still haven’t printed a benchy.
If your words are true there will be a follow-up video of 10! useless prints. But for now I wouldn't have a lot to show. I'm curious off that will change😄
I have 2 enders and I've been making money consistently for the past 4 years using them. I started my business with just a single ender 3 pro, making everything from surgical aids for reputable hospitals to prototypes for new products i develop for clients so I'd say it's a pretty useful tool.
TBH I think I printed Gimmicks/Design/Art stuff as much as the printer collected dust. Combined I think its 25-40% of the time I have owned a 3d printer. Sometimes I put 600h of print time in a month and on the other hand I had to wipe the dust off the printer as maintenance.
Well, if the printer is collecting dust, (your elect bill is not shooting up) the one thing these 3D printer folks don’t mention how your elect bill goes, up ,up, up…. Add that to your cost of prints!
Best 3D printing video ever! Useful things! I have 3D printed items all over my home, in my van, even outside. If I need something, I just design it and print it. Love to keep black PETG loaded and ready to go!
Congratulations on the first video I've watched about useful 3D Prints, that is actually about useful 3D prints. Keep printing and creating great youtube content.
Halo! I came across your latest video by accident but I'm glad to have watched it. I love your laid back sense of humor, first. I also share your vision about 3DP - so many opportunities to improve your daily life with a few mouse clicks instead of buying more and more things - or instead of having to live with a half-satisfactory solution. And for those whose printer is collecting dust, sell it to someone who make a better use of it!
Supervideo. I love it, we need more of it. Since the first time I used a spacer for a shelf assembly (30 x the same one), I can see applications everywhere. And all of that stuff is printed now: Spacers, huge washers, cover parts etc.
My A1 I asked Santa for just arrived and I am excited to start using, darling wife thinks it’s a dumb gift and will only collect dust. I have so many ideas of prints in my head it hurts. I need countless adapters for power tools to attach to dust collection vac, want storage organizers for woodworking bits, cordless tool battery storage, etc. bet when she starts seeing what I’m making she’ll give me a long list of things for her classroom.
The reason why people print all sorts of stuff included you call useless items is because it makes them happy and also it doesn't cost as much to print it
My husband and I love your video! He's a semi-retired programmer and I ride Electric Unicycle (Inmotion V11)- Keep bringing us 3-d Printer and EUC-Mobot videos- Also our ancestors are German
Great video, I also mostly use my printers to make useful stuff. I printed some towel holders that hang on the bathroom cabinet doors almost 5 years ago, and I'm still using them every day.
If you print the door hook out of TPU and make it a "double ramp" design, you should be able to push the door open and pull it closed without having to push the handle down and there will be less risk of breaking it.
@@floatypiet Funny enough reading your reply just made me realize I've been needing a similar solution for a cabinet and didn't even think to 3D print something. Duh!
I love this guy, I'm german but moved to America when I was 4 and listening to him is like listening to opa and onkels speaking English to me when I was younger because they wanted to show me how smart they were. Thank you for the heartwarming memories
I've been kicking around the idea of buying a 3d printer, but didn't really know what I might do with it. Seems like it might be one of those things where it's hard at first, and then suddenly you see tons of opportunities. Great video. Vielen dank!
If you're a little creative and know (or want to learn) how to use any CAD program I feel like it's absolutely awesome. I think with an A1 Mini you can't do anything wrong. It's so good and so cheap ✌🏼
Most used and oddly most favourite print is a replacement handle for my big stainless steel insulated coffee mug. The original rubber-coated one aged out and rotted so I printed one in pla-wood. Actually looks like carved wood what with the layer lines. Been using it for years now, still makes me smile, and it's always the first thing I think of when someone asks what I print.. Otherwise: strain relief for a new power cord for my router (don't ask what happened to the original), fender flares for my electric scooter so it doesn't spray mud on the back of my legs, go-pro mounts for my handlebars (on everything) to hold custom mounts for flashlights, my gps, or... you know, a gopro. Enclosures, brackets, mounts, and lots of pegboard tool holders. Dragknife holder for my cnc to cut out vinyl decals.. all kinds of tool enhancements. No idea how I managed to get along without a 3d printer. People ask what I print... anything I want. Need -> Conceive a solution -> Draw it -> Print it -> Use it. I like that rice-bag system though... might try that one. Never thought to make spout with a threaded cap.
Fantastic video! Just two quick things: First, I think I speak for all of us fat, lazy Americans when I say-you don’t have to convert metric to imperial every time you talk about volume or weight. We get it, we’ve cracked the code. If we need to, we can handle a calculator. Second, nice unicycle! The way you carry that tiny tripod is pretty smooth. Good to see you’re wearing a helmet, but… it’s time for an upgrade. As someone with professional experience crashing two-wheeled death traps at high speeds, I’ve got some thoughts on head protection. One day, you’ll be cruising down the autobahn, reminiscing about your latest 3D print, when out of nowhere, the unicycle stops and your skull keeps going. With that open-face helmet, sure, your brain might survive, but your face? Well, that’s a different story-especially when it meets a metal post or any other fun, sharp objects lying around. Do yourself a favor: get a proper full-face helmet. Arai or Shoei-top-notch stuff. Protect that money-maker! Thanks again for the great video-looking forward to the next one!
Love the energy! And love your practical 3D prints! You really convey the joy that is designing your own 3D printed solutions and how satisfying it is to use them
You perfectly capture my attempts with trying to push my friends out of the "printing useless widgets" phase as they recently got printers for the first time. I know it's the honeymoon phase, but 3d printing is soo much more. It should augment your daily life in every aspect. Excellent showcase of things you've done, I will def show them this video to inspire them.
Haha thank you! It’s cool when you can actually impact or inspire people ✌🏼 for me personally, I don’t like useless stuff standing around. I think as soon you know how to dare things in CAD you have a huge advantage and then you have almost unlimited possibilities of creating things for your exact needs :)
Really love people using 3d printing for actually usefull stuff! I use it for so much little stuff, that just makes my life a better and wouldn't wanna miss it
Thank you Caro! Haha I can imagine! Mybprintier is also running 24/7 atvthe moment and I wish I had a second one to keep up😂 I'm looking forward to make another video about more useful prints soon✌🏼
Thanks for all those ideas! I'm new to 3d-printing, so I'm still check out all those new posibilities. One hint that's not related to printing... typically you can adjust doors, so that they stop opening (or closing).
Thank you! And I'd I would have been able to adjust the door, I'd have done it haha, but believe me, it's not possible with this one just by turning some screws 🙈

Well done, great video. I also printed a mod for my electric unicycle that I use almost everyday, a TPU mud flap. Makes riding on wet days so much nicer.
Dude sick! If you use it almost every day, it sounds like you're living at a really muddy or rainy place😄 naah, probably you just ride your EUC quite often.
Piet, thank you for your video I'm getting a Bamboo printer for Christmas and your video was absolutely delightful to watch. I subscribed and I am looking forward to watching more of your content
I remember the first 3D printer I saw the point of it being to be able to build another 3D printer. So usefulness is a fundamental part of 3D printing.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I don’t have a 3D printer yet - I have to convince my wife that it is worthwhile. I know that I would make good use of it - especially after watching videos like yours with such great ideas.
Dude if you can convince here just with this video, this video would have been worth is just for that. Tell her lovely greetings from Germany 🤗 I believe for most people the A1 Mini is the best recommendation for 200€/$. And I personally think the AMS is with it but yes, it takes quite some space. There are mods for it the put it into of the A1/A1 mini though. I wish you luck 🤗
If you want to get initiated into 3D printing without a big outlay, you should be aware that 3D printers are like old Backberries. Ask around; I can almost guarantee you that someone you know has a 3D printer gathering dust that they would give you, either for free, or for pennies. My wife is on her fourth printer and she gave the first two away to deserving children of close friends. But beware, it's addicting (The first spool of filament is free, . . .)
@@floatypiet Well my dream did come true. I was talking. to my wife about buying a 3d printer - Bambu Labs P1S. While explaining things about it she asked about the X1C. So we started talking about it and that's what we bought. The X1C which includes the AMS unit. I know, I am extremely lucky to have so an understanding wife. But to be honest there are things that she would like to print as well. I have only printed useful items to enhance either the AMS or the printer but do plan to start printing some things to help with my woodworking which my wife also likes to be involved.

Wow, happy to see this video pop up in views! Love the ideas featured as most videos are just people printing commonly found prints that don’t serve much purpose. I’m new to 3D printing but got it for functional use and not so much for toys and clutter. Keep it up! Plus the electric unicycle vids are great! I do cycling but appreciate all forms of videography and sports! Also, 1k subs… lol. You are pushing 4K subs and I love it! Keep it up!
Thank you! Yeah I think 3D printing is great for functional prints. I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos! The next one will also be about a functional print :)
I really like your door handle catch! If I made one, I'd add a slope to the cover so the handle rotates out of the way and engages the catch automatically
There are multiple caliper holders for multiboard which work just fine. I'm also more of a practical tools type, but I enjoy printing gimmicks like puzzles to bring them to the next birthday party where nowadays often just a gift card is on the wish list. One of my favorites are the sealed boxes, where you put the gift card in while the printer pauses and seals it up after. Cheaper than a bought birthday card and way more entertaining. Puzzle boxes with the gift card in it are also an option, but usually more effort to print.
Thank you for sharing, keep going, the more you look for useful things to print the more you'll find. I absolutely hate printing useless stuff. I recently printed candle holders for LED tea candles and cream jars with lids my next thing is going to be flex TPU shoes, I am also testing lipstick tubes😅 but its a bit more challenging than I thought😊.
UPDATE! I completely messed up explaining my second tripod print. You can see it in ml last video about the shelf. The time stamp is 14:10 and it is a lense holder because my tripod is to weak to hold my camera.

Shapr3D (student version) I think it's super easy but harder to make changes afterwards. So right now I'm going through the pain to learn Fusion360 which I think is better for more complex things and changing the drawings mid or after the design.
Shapr3D 3D I can just recommend the full version/student version, otherwise the export quality is horrible.

@@floatypiet Your unicycle relies on lithium-ion batteries that pose environmental concerns due to their toxicity. Speeding down walking paths is dangerous to others.

@@tagg8233 So instead of printing "random toys" for my kids, I should print "more practical random things", such as doorstops?

I love how excited you get at showing us all the small but meaningful solutions that 3D printing allowed you to implement.
15:30 anyone saying "why don't you just use X" clearly doesn't own a 3D printer. My answer is always "I printed it because I CAN".
12:48 "I Really enjoy it."
I'm not judging...
😁
I just got questions 😂
I came to the comments for this, lol.
You have to be careful not to mix them up in the shower.... :)
Don't slip in the shower 😂
So glad i'm not the only one who saw that. I immediately had to pause and run to the comments lol
20 years? That sounds toe like you had invented 3D printing haha. That's wild!
@@floatypietHa, yeah, time flies. Srangely I didn't start 3D printing until last year.
Thank you very much! That was my intention, to inspire you to print some individuals solutions for your life :)
Greetings from an ongoing engineer :)
Particularly liked the door handle door holder. Excellent 😊
Fantastic work man. I need to print a bunch of these for my studio. Love those clamps for your desk to basically hide everything behind the frames. Also... shapr3D for the win
Thank you UncleJessy❤️ I really appreciate it!
"I want to mount my video doorbell to the my vinyl siding, but the I want it flush and not with a big ugly air pocket for stuff to caught behind it"
Yup, totally didn't describe me a T
😂 tip of the riceberg made me chuckle and thank you for breaking down your water bottle into gallons so that I could understand! 😂 Great video, tschuss!
10:18 "Maybe one more organizing system" Zach Freedman is rolling lol
😂😂😂🎉
The rice bag clip is wonderful!!
I guess anyone happy with 3D printing technology on planet 🌎 is Mr Piet 😂
He is living the life at its best
Printing small little things that keep him proud at home
I hope I will do same soon in my life
I felt happy 😊 watching ur videos
Thank you for making everything that u make
Thank you! And all you re really need is a Bambu Lab A1 Mini and some time with a CAD program :)
Thank you! And yes, I’m also super happy with the A1.
Ohh wow you really have been around! Yes I do enjoy the nature around and all the forest :)
Finally someone said it. If I were an youtuber I'd have said it a long time ago. The closest thing to useless I do are toys I gift kids. Cheaper than buying crappy toys and they go nuts about them with custom stuff.
😂 ♥️ thank you!
Great video. Designing your own functional prints to solve problems in your life is the highest form of hobbyist 3d printing.
I’m with you about wanting to print useful things. I’m not big into toys or trinkets but I’ll print for the kids.
Great job selling me on buying a 3D printer. You are correct most prints are either for the printer or kinda niche cases. I think your prints are inspiring.
Thank you! I wish I had an affiliate link haha. But it's just me enjoyiny printer :)
i like the clips like you use on your rice. Here's something I do that might help you. Instead of cutting the entire top off of the bag....cut off a corner at 45 degrees. Then you can reseal it with a short clip and even use a larger opening if you want. (I create ones for anything on the A1 mini using this tactic).
I might try that for my other rice bag. Thank you♥️
Wow didn't realize how many views this video had. Really cool to see you excited to hit 1,000 subs and you are now well past 5,000!
Thank you!!!🤗
Well the best thing about 3D printing is you can make almost anything.
Ohh that sounds great! It's always good to here when I can inspire someone✌🏼
I'm sure you'll come up with some useful and great prints!!!
12:31 did you intentionally build a phallus magnet?
In Germany, it's called a "shlongle dongle".
My thoughts exactly. I love the name "shlongle dongle" though. I might need to adopt that here in the USA.
Thank you✌🏼
I love the bag clip for the rice sack! I actually eat the same basmati rice from Tilda😆
You got a good taste!
Is there a link to
The print for the clip as it will prove to my wife that a 3D printer wasn’t a useless purchase.
The rice bag print warrants an auto subscribe from me. Also you gesticulate like a Thunderbird character which is very endearing.
Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed it :)
(works well with liquids also)
Yes you may 😄 thank you for the tip!
American here! Anything less than a gallon of liquid is usually measured in fluid ounces (the volume of an ounce of water). While most Americans agree that metric is better, this is one of the few US measurements that isn't complete nonsense 😂
We also measure our soda in liters and our wine in mL which is weird considering how much we avoid metric in most of our other measurements.
This just gets me even more confused😂
That sounds even way more worse tbh
I'd say that cups are used about as much as fluid ounces in the US.
Really great video! Some of my favorite prints:
In den Kommentaren Schein es tatsächlich 2 verschiedene Teams zubgeben😂 Team useful und Team useful und deko😄
Thank you ✌🏼 I’m just getting into PETG, but I’m not sure yet if I should use a filament dryer
Finalmente um vídeo com coisas realmente úteis para impressão 3D!!
Fico preocupado com a quantidade de inutilidade que vejo as pessoas imprimirem...
Thank you ❤️✌🏼
Supervideo. I love it, we need more of it. Since the first time I used a spacer for a shelf assembly (30 x the same one), I can see applications everywhere. And all of that stuff is printed now: Spacers, huge washers, cover parts etc.
I love how enthusiastic you are about your doodads and i completely agree that useful prints are way better 👍 Keep up the good work!
Thank you✌🏼
My A1 I asked Santa for just arrived and I am excited to start using, darling wife thinks it’s a dumb gift and will only collect dust. I have so many ideas of prints in my head it hurts. I need countless adapters for power tools to attach to dust collection vac, want storage organizers for woodworking bits, cordless tool battery storage, etc. bet when she starts seeing what I’m making she’ll give me a long list of things for her classroom.
Ohhh definitly Show her how useful it is! Print her something she actually has a usecase for and I'm sure you can convince her!
Great choice the A1!
Haha thank you for your lovely comment! 🤗 this is cool! I love riding EUC so much!
Dude perfectly defined German cars .. over engineered but perfect.
That’s a great idea! Thank you! Might try it next time when creating something similar!
@@floatypiet Funny enough reading your reply just made me realize I've been needing a similar solution for a cabinet and didn't even think to 3D print something. Duh!
I was thinking the same.
I love this guy, I'm german but moved to America when I was 4 and listening to him is like listening to opa and onkels speaking English to me when I was younger because they wanted to show me how smart they were. Thank you for the heartwarming memories
How funny. I also moved to America from Augusburg Germany when I was 4 (adopted) I now have 6 grandchildren who call me "Opa"!!
Alles gut opa!
Serious props to your camera’s autofocus man, you are really making that lens sweat
New camera, needed to figure some things out first.
Thank you for sharing. Especially the poop catcher. I'll shall be adding one to my mini 👌
Just two quick things:
First, I think I speak for all of us fat, lazy Americans when I say-you don’t have to convert metric to imperial every time you talk about volume or weight.
You really convey the joy that is designing your own 3D printed solutions and how satisfying it is to use them
Muchos gracias Senior!
The dovetail idea is brilliant. A nice nod across the makaer table to woodworkers
I use it for so much little stuff, that just makes my life a better and wouldn't wanna miss it
❤️ let’s continue 3d printing content about useful 3D prints! People really seem to enjoy it :)
I love your video! Right now I’m printing all the Christmas gifts with my Ender v3 KE, but I’m exited to start printing useful things for myself!!!
Thank you Caro! Haha I can imagine! Mybprintier is also running 24/7 atvthe moment and I wish I had a second one to keep up😂
I'm looking forward to make another video about more useful prints soon✌🏼
Great video.... and here the list is just about to start, but I can tell from the get-go that this is why I'm going to start 3d printing
You Had Me At EUC!
Great that you are showing the benefit of printing useful things.
Roll On Good Sir, Roll On...
It is a great tutorial, seasoned with humor. I enjoyed it, and you gave me 3D printing ideas. Well done.
That rice thing is a game changer
It definitely is!
on of the most userfull and amazing 3D printing videos i have seen so far. I loved the door one
Thank you very much! I appreciate it!
this guy so helpful and wholesome keep it up fr
Thank you!!!
Thanks for all those ideas! I'm new to 3d-printing, so I'm still check out all those new posibilities.
One hint that's not related to printing... typically you can adjust doors, so that they stop opening (or closing).
Thank you!
And I'd I would have been able to adjust the door, I'd have done it haha, but believe me, it's not possible with this one just by turning some screws 🙈
nearly 5k subs, that's 1k subs a week since the video was uploaded, great work with those prints, my favorite prints and on my DIY CNC router. the 3D printer is a great addition to any work space and home.
Thank you! Damm, you have a DIY CNC, that is wild 😍😂
i love my printer, plant pots, shelfs and other stuff like diameter reducer for pipes! even a toiletpaper holder i destroyed xD decoration, figurine etc is good but our printer getting really cool when we create useful stuff. good video even if im late !
No one is late ✌🏼 thank you a lot!
I tried printing quite a few things that failed but the one thing that didn't was a toothpaste squeezer and I feel happy just like you every time I see it. Great video!
Haha I also had quite some failed prints. But keep it up✌🏼
Mister, I have to say it, I enjoyed your video! thanks for being yourself and thanks for showing ideas to make my printer useful. All the links to freebies is a cherry on top of the cake! Congrats with your goal! it's cool to see that your channel is growing so fast. its 26.10.2024 and you have 3.58K. Wow!
Thank you ✌🏼 I appreciate it!
Algorithm is starting to take effect, shows your video in feed, and I'm glad. You're so excited about that, that it makes me want to print
Thank you very much! And enjoy your Bambu Lab! You'll love it especially some basic CAD skills ✌🏼
I absolutely love your optimistic energy. It's infectious ❤
that's the kind of videos that i want youtube to suggest more
keep it up man, i'm enjoying
Thank you a lot✌🏼 I appreciate it!
I love how organized your life is and your energy, very enthusiastic... The kind of people I wish to have in my life.
Haha maybe it lookes organized but I feel like I'm the opposite of organized. I appreciate your comment ♥️
I remember the first 3D printer I saw the point of it being to be able to build another 3D printer. So usefulness is a fundamental part of 3D printing.
In your world that might be true
@@paulcampbell755 congratulations and enjoy your 3D printer! And you weren’t the only one who needed to convince his wife 😄 there were quite some more in the comments haha
Great video, amazing sense of humour
WOW! Three weeks later and you've gone from 1,000 subs to 4.6k! Well done! Great video :)
Thank you!
Nice video. I love your enthusiasm and thoughtful things to do with your 3d printer. 😊
Thank you✌🏼
Wow, happy to see this video pop up in views!
The next one will also be about a functional print :)
your enthusiasm is infectious and very entertaining! pls make more! and thankyou.
Thank you🤗
The rice things is AWESOMEEEEE!
I really like your door handle catch! If I made one, I'd add a slope to the cover so the handle rotates out of the way and engages the catch automatically
I like the way you think! Very cool ideas😁
Thank you for the tip!
And sealed boxes sound fun though, I'll look into it!
Then we are just in the same page ✌🏼
The shaft of the shower magnet looks like it is easy to grab. Well designed.
