What a surreal experience. Mine was similar as regards information etc. I took it as a lesson and I will be organising the prepping section next year. That aside, I had a great time talking with you and will be talking about my experience on my livestream tonight at 9pm bst. Glad you got to enjoy our English woodland. Hope to see you there next year and hopefully things will go to plan etc. Take care my friend
It was great to finally meet you! I enjoyed my stay in the woodland and felt like home in my little camp.
I get you may see also,uk tiffed for my ancestors bro/long time sub for both of ye
@@BjornOutdoors same here, being around like minded people in nature.... what's not to like. Speak tomorrow 😊
Hi Bjorn, it was lovely to see you.. Sorry about the Organisation on the event.... I helped you get on stage after your arrival Saturday night.. Running back and forth to get the organisers to wake up and give you a microphone after they walked off... So glad I managed to get you up on stage and to finally meet you.... Youre an inspiration to so many.
It's so hard to find individual space in UK - being from England I crave the solitude you have in Norway. Hope you enjoyed your time here anyway, and sorry you weren't treated better over here, reflects badly on us - ....and was it nature sprites that moved those items! Magical woods exist in England! Hope you return.
It’s not hard to find, you are just at the wrong side of the border 😂 come to Scotland 🏴
Eh I’m from rural England and I always find amazing solitude with my horses and dogs - we have beautiful Countryside go find it 😊 🏇🏼
I'd never come across you before the show and was about to get my head down for the night when you arrived on stage. I got interested so we stayted and listened to you talk about all kinds of things. What I liked is that you have a very balanced way of talking about important things and I was with my son who is 13 and quite impressionable. He also found your talk very interesting and was talking about it a lot afterwards. Since then he went on to find your channel and has been watching a lot of your videos since. It was great to 'meet' you and I'm glad my son has found your channel.
The last man to leave the bushcraft show. Bjorn so sorry people let you down. That's common with so many organizers here in the UK. But thank you so much for coming.
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you know the birdsong at dawn is a frequency that opens the pores on the underside of the leaves to start taking in nutrients? It wakes up the earth 🍃🪺
England is so overcrowded that not a single day have I been completely alone even when I have tried.
Bjorn me and my family were at the show and enjoyed your talks very much.many thanks for coming over.
Hiding in the bush is not going to make the problem go away. I like camping as well, it's one of our only freedoms left.
Thank you
I liked your comment about "your Neighbours" When I go bush, I never see anyone for days, for weeks, even months. The only time you see anyone is when you are at a 'campsite'. One can't beat solitude, refreshes the soul and makes one think on what is important in life. Sorry to see that you were forgotten by the organizers, I find that utterly disrespectful. NZ has a small population and being alone in some small towns seems normal, much like you in Norway. No matter how long that I am away in the bush, it is always nice to come home to a hot shower and clean sheets. Enjoyed the video. ATB Cheers from the mountains of NZ ☺☺
Thank you ❤
unfortunately the UK has changed much in the downward direction in the last 40 years, we have opened our doors to anyone wanting to enter which has lead us to being very overcrowded, and we do not check who we allow in, as a boy I of 9 could wonder alone on foot and cycle in safety all over the new forest now that would not be advised. The same 12 mile cycle to the beach where i would see about 6 cars the whole journey now I would see 15 a minute, I am not a "loan wolf" but multitudes of people make the life experience poorer.
I'm ashamed to be British, why were you treated like that? And for someone to mess with your camp, that's 100% NOT acceptable! Sorry Bjorn, you are one of the kindest, genuine humans on the planet, this should not have happened to you.
I would guess it was just kids messing about, although it is not nice knowing someone has tampered with your gear. The most important thing is that nothing was taken!!
I suspect whoever it was - put those items out of sight for you so that they don't get stolen. Still it's going to feel a bit off knowing that someone was meddling with your camp. I was thinking during the video watching you walking away from your camp with all those people nearby... There is always a risk that someone might steal from you.
its to be expected in the uk. If it wasn't tampered with in any way or just someone having a nosy look that would be out of the ordinary
I am also ashamed to be british
Ashamed to be British! 😂😂😂
Don’t be ashamed because of other people. Hold your head high and carry YOUR standards for your country. There’s trash, criminals and nosey people in every society. Skol 👍
It was the pixies at your campsite. Today I have watched over 1 hour of Bjorn, time well spent.
Thank you! And yes, it must have been the pixies.
I wanted to come down from Scotland to the show to see you and hear your talks but couldn’t make it.. loved the video.. no surprise it was Italian and Brazilian that welcomed you and looked after you and the brits were nowhere to be seen.. I’m Scottish and sometimes ashamed of the British hospitality thank you for your video
Not a Lone Wolf but after spending 7 years living in London, which is like a pressure cooker, I moved to Brittany and cherrish time alone. Being around people is fun but after a while i need solitide, to walk my dog, fish, hike, bike.
Back in time people lived in small spread out communities. That feels natural to me with gatherings in the local pub at the end of a day in the woods and fields.
Hi Bjorn, it was really nice to meet and chat with you👍
The prices of those knives and carving tools at the beginning was insane Knives used to be very cheap in the UK.
These are hand made knives. The knife makers need to make living from this.
@@BjornOutdoors That is true, but being trained as a metalworker and a woodworker through school and as a later trade. I know the time it should take to make a knife, I've made many of my own, and these are still far too expensive. £300 to £500 for any small item is an awful lot of money for anyone to pay for what is supposed to be a tool. If they are purely decorative luxury items then a preppers/outdoorsman gathering is hardly a place for them. A knife is a tool at the end of the day, not jewellery. If they are meant for collectors just to fondle and look at then they become objects d'art, not knives.
@@kingsnurglegurglesonthevik4517 I agree with you. It's the same situation with many hobbies, whether it's motorcycling, horse riding etc, you can end up paying silly money for all the equipment.
You can always get a mora they're great knives and cheap too
Hello Bjorn! I've been a quiet (but keen) watcher for sometime now, and you have become a sort of idol for me. and at 19 years old (and in this age) I am glad to say so. Recently I recommended you to my dad who is the same age as you and is a gardener and is also a man who potters about with wood and metal and fire and these kinds of magic! So when. I came across you, i got very excited. It's just so comforting to see real people on the internet like you Bjorn, sharing some real wisdom. And passion! Like grandmothers who pass on their secret recipes. Except it is common sense, and that nature provides it to all without any secrets. Basically people like you is what the young people should aspire to be.
So yes we've been busy watching all your videos - I hope you don't mind 😁
Stay well, and continue to do all the things that you make you happy 🙏
Grandmothers may pass on old remedies amongst the recipes, and a lifetime of experience of womanhood. Everyday is a school day, as the saying goes. ❤️😉
@Linda Law yes your right! Its not only the 'recipe' itself, but the ingredients and the lifetime of practised skills. A story is being told and I'm here for the stories and the 'old witterings' - they dont shy from narrative ! The old sayings are the best 🌠🫡
Bnorn I've watched your channel a number of years now but dropped out last year as i was concentrating on moving😂 i wish i had known about you coming to the uk! There are alot of really wild camping people in the uk and we camp in some awesome places and there are bushcraft groups that have shelters dotted about all over the place but you have to know who's who as wild camping in the UK is illegal but people do do it, even building shelters and staying out, there is a whole community here. There are some truly ancient pockets of woodlands in the uk, very much better than the campsite you stayed on, I'm talking about woodlands that are thousands of years old, they are really special, not like the young woods you stayed in here but you have to park your car miles away and hike in to avoid detection 😊
I say 'we but we all go alone, as that's the best thing' and by community I mean like-minded people
Always a pleasure, a gentleman of the woods 🤗🤗
So glad that you are able to come here and enjoy our beautiful woodland. I have always loved your videos and it was so wonderful to see that you’re are able to just go to a wild place and make a chocolate coffee and talk, I don’t think we can do that so easily here.
A man can never have too many 🪓 axes /tools
Those birds! Bliss!!!
Thankful to meet you, Bjorn! I hope your return was great. Until another day! Hugs from Brazil!
I have found your channel and so happy I have. You’re the sweetest man, how great to listen to your honest, innocent, common sense, my friend. Now, I get myself a cup of coffee and join you when I watch your videos, like being with someone I’ve known for years. I too love to camp by myself in the woods. I once spent a few months alone in the Big Thicket Forest of Eastern Texas. I roughed it, as some would say, but it was simple, basic survival mode and I’ve never been more at peace. I had myv2 dogs with me. The Sun and Moon, stars and wind were mine alone. The forest and the greenery, the birds and peace of mind were the greatest. I’m at my best when I’m in nature. Thank you for posting your journey, I love every minute ! Bjorn To Be Wild~ Love, Claudia. Northern Michigan, U.S.A. 🌸🇺🇸✌🏻
So thankful the Italians and the Brazilians made up for the lack of English hospitality! I'm embarrassed to be British. Peace and blessings to you Bjorn.
That's twice you've been to the uk in as many years, once the weather was against you, this time, very poor organisation.. sorry my friend.
I agree, I'm ashamed of my fellow Brits, that's no way to treat a visitor.
Seeing q massive parking area crammed with cars SCREAMS Bushcraft and Nature 😅.
I get it, it's a commercial gathering. But not for this individual who prefers the solitude of the absence of people when in nature.
Welcome to the UK 🇬🇧 😀 🙌
It is so nice to listen to You...
Amazing what a time to be alive 😊
Hey Bjorne, I very much appreciate and respect a major hallmark I see in your personality: you are authentic!. Just keep on being who you are, that alone speaks volume and lays down a solid challenge to your viewers/subscribers. This messed up wold continually tries to get on us and dictate terms - I guess we need to push back and get hold of who we are. Just be real and separate ourselves from the smoke and mirrors. Love your work. Alan
Thank you, Alan!
Thank you for sharing this experience with us! 😊
Nothing like a shower after camping a few days 😂❤
That was a very welcome escape from the daily routine. Thanks for taking us along, and sharing your thoughts. Personally I greatly enjoy the time I get alone; as you said it is because it is not everyday it happens. I do enjoy the company of others, especially when working at projects together.
I really appreciate you sharing your perspective and observations Bjorn, it adds that certain something which you don't get just anywhere on RUclips.
Loved the excerpt of how people see nature. Encouraged me to hang on to my own views in spite of opposing opinions. The sights, sounds of the area almost conveyed the sense of coffee, tapestry of leaves and branches and an inmate perception of your confidence, peace with love of things of earth. Thank you.
Love this music. ❤
Very nice video. 🙂🤝🇺🇲🇧🇻
It's amazing to see how different the English woodland is compared to your usual Norwegian location only a few hundred miles away. Sorry to hear the organisation was a bit lacking. Hope you enjoyed yourself despite this.
FYI, That looks like a flag from the Great State of Texas under the Stars and Stripes. Cool jacket!!!
Thank you for sharing your woodland experience in England. I always appreciate your honesty.
I would run out of money FAST :)
Hi Bjorn 🇱🇷
Hi Bjorn. I'd like to make 2 suggestions for next year, to prevent any malicious damage to your camping equipment next time.
1. Firstly, camp much further away than you did before, hopefully hidden away from prying eyes, and
2. Bring a battery trailcam with you, to record any mischief, or ask funkyprepper to watch your tent for you while you're on stage.
Clearly, someone took the opportunity to look for something to steal from you, while they knew you weren't there. I apologise on behalf of British people for your experience. That was very unfair, and not the kind of behaviour we expect British people to treat our guests here from other countries. Fortunately, it's a minority that do it.
Thanks for the advice, but I was assigned that exaxt camp spot, I could not choose myself. Concerning a trailcam, if they allow that, it's a good idea.
Had a great time with you and your adventures. I'm in Missouri USA thank you for all your hard work and always reminding us to go outside and get nature. Missouri has a fair amount of opportunity i enjoy the state. Thanks again.
Great video! Also enjoyed the other video of you speaking at the bushcraft show. Organizers are so exploitative of the people they need in their creation. One time my house was on an old house tour and all they did to help was plant a sign. No consideration for the cogs in the wheel. Glad you had an interesting adventure anyway . I really like this video have watched it many times Thanks!
I hope you'll return here many times again, I know it's not your first visit too, right ?
Always welcome and appreciated here in England.
I wish I could have gone, maybe next year. I must say it is strange seeing Bjorn in a lush English woodland.
Thank you for sharing. ❤
Pleased that the fellow crafters invited you in. The work culture in the U.K. is quite regimented for most, which means a mass exodus at many events.
Welcome to England buddy👍🏻
I think the moving of the book was one of the creatures of the forest they probably wanted to take a read
Wow...lucky you..
Yes its why i like being an english woodsman yes the birds are very noisy in the morning from about 4 am but what a way to wake someone moved your stuff probably ( fairies ) they have a thing of moving things i hope you enjoyed england.... TELFALHAL.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks Bjorn....Your a great guy...Thanks from Alberta Canada 🇨🇦....
I'd never want to leave that place. I love the birds chirping.
Thank you for posting this video. It's hopeful to see that many of us are still hand-crafting and enjoying the natural world.
Next time comes to Italy we will show you the real hospitality 😂
I wish I could have made it to the Show , I would have enjoyed listening to your Talks , might even have siad Hello , when you were not surrounded by fans , shared a Chocolate Coffee with you ! , I am so glad you enjoyed the Woodland , We are lucky here , that we do have such an abundance of various trees , and I to like to wake up to Birdsong , So annoyed that you had your stuff poked about in by someone , thats not right , Be Well my Friend , Strength , Honour and Respect .
Dude. We know you live in London. Bushcraft entrepreneurs flying in from all over the world, renting nice cars and dining and sleeping in a historic estate! Wonderful exposition of upscale prepper products throughout tis video, especially the three coats you wore over the course of three days! Most of their tents are gone? As if.
Sounded so funny, i havent spent any money yet but so tempting all those bush knives and axes ... Haha a vikings shopping spree 😁
Great to see you in person and listen to your talk as a subscriber was a highlight of the weekend! We had a great time 👍
nice field jacket Bjorn,
Thanks Bjorn I went to the bushcraft show 2023 on your recommendation. It was great.met Ray mears but missed your talk though maybe next year🧙♂️
I wish you could have picked me up one of those longbows and a bottle of that mead. 😊 Thanks for look
Genius to extend your work and self into & towards Craft of fineArt shows at a time when show's esthetic nuances are dwindling in value.
Indigenous PowWow's had to pause accept retro perspective & priority.
Chief TwoMoons told his dream time story why PowWow are about "empty your rocks from your pockets" (spirit & heart) let's enjoy our gathering and these treasures worth belief & purchasing as safe keepers.
To his memory HoHoHo.
I want to move to Norway, it sounds so peaceful. ❤
@P.E.M.V.N.H.Indeed you are correct, perhaps watch the whole video?
Extremely expensive too
Man if you like the forest there I'd love for you to see the woods here in the U.S. Especially in the fall.
Great to see you visiting England Bjorn. Hope you have a great time and enjoy every minute of it.
and i was 2,5 weeks in norway camping in the wild ^^
So pleased to see the English woodland work its magic on you. I appreciate your observations about solitude for it is so very hard to find it in the UK. Those open areas we have access to are heavily visited, especially at the weekend, and often an early morning start combined with detailed local knowledge about where to avoid is the only option when seeking a few hours to enjoy nature at her finest.
Thank you, my friend, for taking me with you to the bushcraft show. I watched your recent video mentioning your family distress, and was saddened, as I always am, to hear of someone I respect, having problems similar to mine. I sincerely hope that you can find a way together in love.
Norway sounds like my kind of place!!
This is an especially pretty video and very interesting. Thanks for showing us!
Detta var otroligt viste inte att du och din kunskap var så stort jag kommer att verkligen att göra allt för att lära känna dig bättre och lära av dig Lars-Göran Danielsson Sverige.
Would have loved to hear your whole speech there! Really!
I would say the Gnomes of England decided to play a trick on you.
Maybe so, but I have been told they are all in your parliament?
That's poor of the organisers dude, me and my wife enjoyed your talk, subscribed to your channel and looking forward to watching your videos 🔥🔥🔥
You needed some Scout leaders next to you. We would have shown you a hearty welcome with songs, fed and watered you till you begged for mercy, crawling back to your tent in the wee hours of the morning to be rudely awoken a couple of hour's later at sunrise with a brew and a bacon sandwich!
A Dutch couple who recently managed to mistakenly wild camp near myself and fellow Scout brethren will hold witness to this...that's a British welcome!
Haha, that would have been awesome!
Welcome to England Mate, I hope you get less rain than the last time you came, have a great time Bjorn, all the very best
Thanks for sharing! After a few days in the woods a shower and a bed is nice, nobody should blame you! If you ever make it to the States or get your books in English let me know!
Sorry to have missed you at the show, managed to see Darren's talk but didn't realise you were doing a talk later on.
I loved the "looking at things i didn't realise I needed"
Hope your back next yea.
Wonderful video, Bjorn. I'm so happy that you had an enjoyable time in England's woods, they are very green and luscious especially this time of year. The trees are beautiful, they reach for the stars and the birds sing merrily away. "Nature is truly stunning and deeply healing. Awesome video. Thank you.
Brilliant video mate ,
Thanks a lot!
so annoyed we missed you hope you come again we was there the whole weekend
we all love ELVIS no matter his' form :)
Glad uve uve visited our green woodlands pastures its great to have u in the uk bjorn!!
Thanks for showing us all the stalls Bjorn. Hopefully catch you there next time!
Great video as always Bjorn
😊nice Bjorn😊. Interesting trip to England. Glad you shared your experience with us😊Take care.
Wish I had known when you were talking, wasn't mentioned on official site which was a bad oversight by the organisers. Couldn't plan which day to come. Hope to catch your talk another time.
I've got a huge RUclips crush on you 😊 because of the raw honesty you talk about in this video. It sucks what they did. Do people think of others these days? Makes a person wonder, huh? *hugs*
Darn, I wish I could have made the show and said hi
Glad you enjoyed your stay
I love your camping site and the singing birds! Really relaxing! I wish they had organized your talks for better use of your time at the show. Thanks for sharing, Bjørn! 😊
GREAT camp set up!!! I’ve always thought a tarp & tent combo is ultimate combo, if you’re not using a hammock. Awesome vid as usual. Looks like you really enjoyed the trip. Cheers!
