You are right about the truck audio. It reminds me of an realy old hot wheels game I used to play. That it didnt matter if you were speeding up or slowing down it was the same repeditive audio.
That's the thing I always complain about in SnowRunner. The devs just doesn't care, graphics > audio is their priority. Some of the sounds, just like the trucks, are directly ported from SR as well, like the van Khan Lo4f with it's slightly annoying engine sounds.
I keep wanting to call it the "Costco" Canyon (looks like something Costco would sell if they sold cars). Also noticed the engine sounds seems to be either "all on" or just off, with not much intermittent revving. Is this due to accelerator being bound to keyboard?
No, the sounds are like this since SnowRunner and that's just how it's stitched together. The constant vroom vroom overlays while on the move has been there from the start. fyi playing with a controller and tapping the gas lightly still produce those sounds.
100% agree. Snowrunner was more arcady than mudrunnner, and this is even more arcady than snowrunner. Wrong direction, just to try to broaden the player base.
For a new player I don't think this game is necessarily easier than SnowRunner, I'd say it's even more slow-paced. It's a lot more niche than a typical arcade game. The vehicles and addons do look arcadey though, and there's still not a lot of variety.
@@RuudiiiAnd how is trying to broaden player base bad? If you want future content, dlc, easier gameplay is necessary. This game is slower paced than Snowrunner.
@@frankreynolds9930 Do you want a really good game that's meant for their own palyerbase and is spesifically designed and satisfies one segment, or do you want games that hits more people but doesnt do good in all segments? The last one is what's ruining many genres atm, like cod, adding stuff and making the game feel different so that ipad kids will play the game. This is subjective. Snowrunner feels much better than this game, but this game probably hits more people than snowrunner did.
@@RuudiiiI want games to be sustainable so that i get more content and future sequels. It is only possible if more people play the game. Snowrunner wouldnt have so much content if it wasnt popular. Mimimi games, one of best stealth tactical game makers out there had to shut down recently because they couldnt generate enough revenue because their games were hard, not enough stealth interest so less mainstream. Snowrunner will always have more interest than expeditions because it has more variety and more satisfying from start unlike this game which many have complained have felt not as satisfying.
Yes they be easier for you to learn because you haven’t played snow runner. I’ve not seen anyone moan about the controls other than say it’s awkward switching between the two games because they are different controls so you got an advantage really.
i kinda feel like the missions in this game arent nearly as satisfying as recovering trucks or building bridges and stuff like in snowrunner. The game looks amazing, but so far im not impressed with the gameplay to purchase it. Love the videos Paul, keep em coming.
I played it last night. I miss the exploration side of previous games, I don't find the missions very stimulating. Other than that, the physics is still great.
BUT, with anchors, jacks, specialists, upgraded winch, more planning - driving, less stuck with stuck on stuck = more fun. Did i mention tire pressure?
Yeah, for me what was appealing for spintires (the original game especially) was the challenge of it Not that this game seems bad, but it lacks almost everything that drew me into spintires in the first place
I bought the supreme version but refunded it after an hour. It really isn't worth the price they are asking. And this video has highlighted some of the things that annoyed me like the drone no fly zone and having three different menu options on the D pad which can be missed clicked too many times.
Big fan of SR and MR but this is just bad, playing for 6 hours and its just the same story all the time. Very arcade like. Not a fan, I love the SRs way of doing things differently. U can recover your trucks, load them on the back, lift stuff with the crane and this is whats makes it so great.
I like the game but its disapointing in so many ways. So few trucks/cars compared to vanilla snowrunner. All the talk about the drone... and then no flight zones? Wth? Makes no sense.

Really enjoying this introduction in to the game I’m getting close to buying it keep up the good work.Paul
30:13 That was a Triceratops, you can tell by the head frill.
Also, about the winch, the quick winch actually try to first wich to whatever is your in your view that is closest to you
You’re missing fuel and spare parts available from the airdrops.
Yep, could be repairing and refueling at every airdrop.
Fyi the Cotco SUV is based on an Iveco. Specifically the Iveco Massif

Smacky cars aka smack cars
I think I'll just keep playing Snowrunner. I much prefer the cargo hauling gameplay.
The more i see of this game the less enthusiastic i become to be honest

if you have never played snow runner is this game still easy to workout how to play controls easy to work out

LOVE IT
Seeing Squirrel "complain" about money while having a storage full of stuff he should have selled and not stored is annoying as hell
Seems to be dementia
Was this recorded before or after your livestreams? Or did you wipe your memory between sessions, MIB style?
Different save files

You should have repaired your scout and taken fuel as well as spare parts from the air drops.

Give it time, I had the same feelings in first 1-5 hours.
I think I’ll pirate the game first before buying it, but I still have to finish snowrunner. I’m still in the first world lol
happy gaming paul. do the next vids the same way just longer.
The audio sound from this car you hear at 18:20 definitely weird. I must say.
Hope they fix that
great vid
It's hard to believe this game is made by the same people as the previous Mudrunner games.
Yep currently looking for a refund but don't have high hopes
@@PJEIREYeah tried to refund as well, but got more than 2 hours. Steam refund system sucks
Snow runner without the snow ... Or trailers ... Or multiplayer?

Might be a silly question, but what graphics card are you using and resolution do u play in ?
im pretty sure he has either a 4080 or a 4090 and he plays at 1080p for smooth recording based on his live streams.
His pc specs are in the description
nice

How do you sell the dinosaur bones?
You’ll be paid for them when you return to headquarters.
The more i see of this game, the more enthusiastic I become to be honest. I just want to play it. Need to wait financially atm though 😩
I love the sense of exploration and the difference of not focusing heavily on delivery.
also, i agree, the engine audio is awful sounding, like youre driving at 8000 rpm constantly
Does this game have mods
Seems really buggy compared to the arctic one. Is it in your opinion?
Yeah, the engine audio really needs a lot of work in this game. Some of the worst ive heard in a long time.
Driving looks and feels way too arcady for me - I thought it would be way more slow and kinda crawling game …

Mini games?! Really?
This is just such a shit concept. I want realistic hauling, mud and dirt, wheels spinning. Not some sci-fi metal detector bull 💩.
Play snow runner then they have stated many times they are still working on Snow Runner
Ewww pick up your poop
This game looks so arcady and rushed. Its missing some goal and sense, nothing to build up towards, only get money
Really annoys me how u start one game then stop then go to another
