- With no need for this jeep to ever be perfect, I try my hands with body work. Thought it was gonna be a easy slide through job but I found out why nobody wanted to fix this jeep back up. Unibody and structure are in an absolute mess , but Dex is determined to fix it!!

The front end is over lol I do that for a living auto body. The advice I can give yeah is hold the jeep still and pull it come along or something stronger. love the channel also

Love your videos! I'm a stop in and see you one of these dayzzz. I'm disabled now, but I did collision repair for 20 years! I actually miss it sometimes. Just fyi on the header panel. I worked on mostly GM stuff, but I'm pretty sure that all those panels that look like fiberglass are actually SMC? (Sheet Molded Compound) even the ones that look like fiberglass are plastic. They have fiberglass strands in them, but they are held together with a molded plastic. In the future, if you're ever repairing anything you really care about? That $40 kit they tried to sell you, would adhere better than the polyester fiberglass resin. It will eventually give up its grip. I imagine the hot glue will stick as good if not better than polyester resin would have? There are several different epoxies that are designed to stick to the rigid plastic. (SMC)

I removed decals for years at a detail shop. Use tar remover or paint thinner to break the glue down. Then u can use the plastic razor blade or a rag and it will wipe off fairly easy.
Don't worry about the classic and sport badges...you can only see one side at a time.

You can chuck up a valve stem in a drill an use it to remove that crap off a vehicle body and it cheaper ! Yw ! 🙂

You should get a respirator for painting. Breathing over spray isn't good for you. It'll keep you from blowing paint out of your nose for a couple days lol

When your pulling put tension on it and smack it with hammer of bfh metal has memory you will see it release tension when you hit it

My question is regarding cheap to free lift,I got leads and shocks in the back,01 Durango,I turned the keys all the way up in front as it has torsion bars...
But my idea,as bad as it sounds,is THIS for the back..

As an amature, mostly self taught tractor painter... the paint settling in the air will fall down and cause the painted parts to have a rough surface... and on painting the plastic parts... what if you sprayed it wirh a rattle can first made for plastic to smooth it out, then sprayed the white coat?? Just a thought. I forgot that i painted dumpsters for a few months as a teenager. Had to take a physical and the dr told me to get out of that line of work. Its not worth it. That was with lots of floor ventilation, electrostatic paint guns, and full body suit and respirators. I love painting... but be smart about it and wear a mask
there are no 1984 to 1996 jeep xj's anywhere in southeast ohio. I know of one 1994 and I've picked it clean. There were three in columbus at a yard called woodys, got a drivers door went back the next month and all scraped , woody's is 120 mile round trip for me :(
