The pronouncation „Bomberg“ is not correct. A born Bamberger says „ Bam(m)bärch“ At the end of the nineth Century, there was a castle of counts named „Babenberger“. In dialect: Bahmbärcher (I cant write the pronouncation in english 😂). That is where the name is come from.
