Yes Tony! I really enjoy watching all your videos. I’ve been a fan of yours ever since I saw MCS live at The Roseland Ballroom around the Commit This To Memory Era.
So cool to see this. I got into music/guitar because of this album. I went to their last show ever in Boston at the paradise. Can't recall a cooler concert experience than a crowd singing back every word to every song almost louder than Justin.
Dang! That was intense. Always liked this song but not until I saw this did I realize how intricate the fills were. It’s crazy how the eyes sometimes give you a better indication of what the ears are doing
I don't really know anything about drumming, but the part right before "I can't fucking stand it" where you do those two triplets high up on the ride(?) cymbal to make those more plinky sounds was really cool. I love seeing how you did all of these intricate little touches in songs that I could hear but couldn't understand how they came about.
I love those parts too which is why Tony is up there with Travis Barker to me on my favorite drummers list. Similarly to Travis he knows how to speak with his drums with little touches like that and I really admire that style of drumming and try to incorporate it into my own music as well.
Not triplet, though a common misconception. This guy is one of my favourite drummers for this reason. He does stuff like that, you don't have to be a drummer to hear that and think "wow I really liked that bit where he did the triplet(?) Thing with the bell" it's like he knows how to serve the song perfectly.
