    have you considered doing a video on restoring/replacing the headlight assembly?

    • @CarRepairsMadeSimple
      @CarRepairsMadeSimple  11 месяцев назад

      I might make a video on that next year. Headlights are getting really faded. In the meantime, my hood release cable video shows you how to remove the headlights

      @@CarRepairsMadeSimple Fair enough. I'm having to replace my headlights now because moisture got into the lens.

      @@Jordan_Graham dang that's annoying. If you can't get the moisture issue resolved, you can get replacement assemblies on eBay for a pretty good deal. Some of them might be faded. But if you're handy, you could sand them, spray them with 2k headlight clear coat, polish them, and they'll look as good as new

    Have you replaced low beam light bulb 💡? If so, how much did you pay for the bulb?

    • @CarRepairsMadeSimple
      @CarRepairsMadeSimple  3 месяца назад

      sorry for a late response, I never got a notification! I have replaced the bulb before. Since a new bulb from Honda/Acura would be like $250, I have instead bought used OEM parts from eBay and junkyards. More often than not, you won't find just the HID bulb for sale, but rather the entire headlamp assembly with the bulbs and other components still attached for about $40-70

    It's a good video as usual. When you step on the brake for bleeding, do you turn the car key to power on position?

    • @CarRepairsMadeSimple
      @CarRepairsMadeSimple  11 месяцев назад

      Thank you very much! And you should not power on or start the vehicle for the bleeding process.

    Greetings ! I've watched your transmission service videos and have learned a lot. I have a question not related to this video. It's a transmission question beyond what I've done with the transmission on my car. I have a 2001 Acura 3.2 CL type s. I will wait for your response before I get too deep into it and go over it. I chose this video to comment because it's a recent video and I wanted to try and be sure to get in contact if possible. Thank you

      I get notifications when someone leaves a comment, feel free to comment on one of the transmission videos to keep the content and comments similar and I’ll try to answer your questions there :)

      @@CarRepairsMadeSimple awesome ! Ok so I've done the flush and fill when the transmission acted funny. It helped for a while. After the flush and fill I did the filter change with COMPLETE drain. About 15k miles later I did the filter flush and fill again. About 3k miles later I started having torque converter shudder so I did the complete transmission service again and added shudder fix. About 1,800 miles after that it went crazy ! It felt like it would slam into low gear at 60mph,it did that twice while driving. I continued to drive about 5 miles and made it to an exit and then after exiting at slow speed it felt like rough shift into the lower gears but shifted through all gears until I got stopped at a RR crossing and while I was sitting at the railroad crossing the D5 light started blinking so I drove about another miles home and it wouldn't shift past 3rd gear. After that I pulled the solenoids and cleaned them and not did they need it ! Especially the lower. It drove well with no service lights for about 10 miles shifting smoother than ever. Now it's doing what it did that it had done before but was no big deal to me and the check engine light and TCS light came on last night after a short drive and it seems as if it hits the rev limiter about 3,000 or 3,500 rpm. Now here's what's odd is that when that happens sometimes when your stopped the car would seem as if it would want to lose power and sometimes it would do this and sometimes not. So I'm about to test drive it again today to see how it does and I'll add it doesn't have the catalytic converter anymore it was removed because it was WAY stopped up ! It has ran fine without the catalytic converter even better without it other than the check engine light. It has almost 235k miles on it. What you think ? Heard of anything like that before ?

      @@CarRepairsMadeSimple another note I'm about to let the cat idle before driving today to let it get to operating temp then drive it to see if that TCS light comes on. I can live with the check engine light because of the catalytic converter.
