Really great video, I've already replaced one leaking brake line with an OEM one but I know I will have to tackle the others soon. Thanks for the detailed video!
1) Thanks so much! 2) I just ordered my set of fuel lines from linestogo as well and even though the items just shipped and I haven't received them yet I can tell their customer service is excellent 3) I actually ordered my brake lines from ebay using SS lines with the blue plastic/pvc coating. Hopefully they are easier to install. 4) I always thought you had to close the bleeder valve before each "brake" up during the bleed. It's nice to see you don't have to! Make it a one person job! 5) Thanks again and I hope to get this all done this Thanksgiving weekend on my 2000 3.0 V6 209,xxx miles car!
Nicely done, sir! 👍 Not sure I'd tackle that repair/upgrade myself, but I had my brake lines changed out to stainless steel lines shortly after buying my '02 TL-S back in Nov of 2001. It also helps that I live in SoCal so I don't have to worry much about road salts eating up my baby! 😁
It certainly was one of the more difficult jobs I've done on this car! Rust certainly is a nightmare! But I'm confident these lines will last the rest of the life of the vehicle! Thanks for watching!

Hello!, I do not know where if the Proportioning valve is leaking or the brake line has a hole it is located near the driver side steering wheel, please I need help!..
Hey brother. Question. Have you replaced the tensioner pulley on your car? Unfortunately I think the only way to do it is to remove the tensioner bracket because I tried to only remove the pulley but the bolt for it hits the inside of the wheel well before it backs all the way out. Was hoping you had experience with this. Thank you
@@850CANE replacing the auto-tensioner shouldn’t be too difficult as it’s only held in by 2 small bolts. I haven’t had to replace an igniter, but I have had to replace a bulb and a ballast before.
You could probably get this job done with 2 jack stands, but I guarantee with as difficult as this job is already, you’ll be wishing you had 4. Jacks stands are cheap and widely available. If money is tight, you could probably find some used ones on eBay, Craigslist, or Facebook marketplace too.
@@CarRepairsMadeSimple thanks for the reply. Similar to you I've got lots of rusty connections and parts to get around, I guess this is a full weekend job?
@@kerry7967 yeah this is definitely a full weekend job. I would go as far as to say this was the most difficult job I’ve performed on my car yet. Give yourself plenty of time, and even have a backup car plan encase you don’t finish on time. Best of luck to you and hope this video helps!
I have an 03 TL, and the cooling fan stays on after the car is turned off? Is this normal? It does it for about 10-15 minutes. Also, my heater doesn’t work :( the blower motor and a/c work, but I have no heat. Any tips would be MUCH appreciated :)
hey man quick question. 2001 cl-s auto here. im having some troubles with the idle while the car is sitting at stoplights in d5/d4. the idle dips down pretty low to almost a stall and then back up to normal. it tends to do this a couple times per stoplight. any help appreciated thanks!
The fuel injection line 14mm bolt that came with the line, from lines to go, is very different from the one I had factory on my 03 tl. When I started the fuel pump after connecting all the lines, fuel started gushing into the engine bay from the 14mm bolt. Would you be able to send me an image of the bolt you recieved? Thanks
The bolt for that fuel line was exactly the same as far as I remember. The best image I would be able to send you is the same as what is seen in this video at 23:02. I do remember it being very tricky to put in and I had initially started cross threading it, so make sure to be careful! With it being a larger bolt, it needs to be tightened a bit more. The torque spec is 27 ft.lbs for reference. Also take note as to how many threads are visible after tightening it. At 18:50, you can see only 2 threads of the bolt remain visible when tightened properly.
@@CarRepairsMadeSimple hey thanks for the reply. I sent a message to the company asking why the bolt was different. An additional question I had was is there supposed to be an o ring for that bolt?

Do you know where I can find a rear brake line set for a 2003 Acura cl 6-speed lines to go only has the front set for lines. I need the ones that trail towards the rear encased in the plastic cage. Thansk
I’m afraid I don’t know where you can find the rear lines for your car. Unfortunately this website hasn’t developed lines for ever car yet as they’re still somewhat new. The only other options I can think of include bending your own lines, or taking it to a shop.
Hi bro I was wondering cuz I was planning on getting Acura TL type s 03 and most scared bout the the tranny it has 100k miles on it look like mint is there any way to test and check the transmission throughly without getting into since I’m not the owner yet
I would buy an obd-ii scanner and make sure the seller isn’t hiding any codes from you. Go check out my obd-ii video. Also, the most important aspect of keeping these transmissions running is keeping the fluid clean. Check the transmission oil dipstick and ensure the fluid isn’t dark or burnt smelling, and also isn’t over/underfilled.
It’s hard to find quotes online, and it also depends on the vehicle and how many lines are being replaced/spliced. But replacing all 5 lines entirely on this vehicle, I’d say labor alone would be between $500-1000.
Well due to 300,000+ miles of rust buildup, it wasn’t coming off via traditional methods of squeezing the pinch tabs or using the quick disconnect tool. So I had no other choice
@@SteveV6206 like I said, already tried that, didn’t work. They were too rusty to pull apart by hand, hence the pliers and screwdriver to pry them apart.
