hello.. been watching your videos. I am about to upgrade my Macbook Pro 2012. Just wanted to check and see if things are still doing well with Monterey
It works pretty well. The GPU gets patched during the post install process so it's not quite as efficient as officially supported versions. Some people have reported excessive heat, after going to Monterey, but I've not experienced that. Other than that it's working great.
The screens on the MBAs (prior to the M1s) is terrible. I don't know how you're using yours, but if it were me I'd get the 2012 MBP over the 2015 MBA... assuming you can get the MBP for a good price.

You can go up to Ventura if you want.. Hi I wanna help in chromebook
Hi, what about using external monitor with monterey on this specific machine? Does it works well or laggy? I just upgraded my 2012 macbook pro on monterey by following your video and planning to buy a 2k monitor but i am worried it will be laggy. Thanks in advance for your response ☺️
I would recumbent the 15 Inch 2012 MacBook Pro as it has dual Graphics cards. plus is Quad core i7
hello.. been watching your videos.
I have a mackbookPro10,1... external monitors dont work,.. even with graphics switching off
Same here
Garage band works well with 1 track? come on bro.
Should I get a MacBook Air 2015 with 8GB Ram or should I get a 2012 MacBook Pro 2012 with 16 GB Ram with open core?
The screens on the MBAs (prior to the M1s) is terrible.
I don't know how you're using yours, but if it were me I'd get the 2012 MBP over the 2015 MBA... assuming you can get the MBP for a good price.
@@Eevnos do you think $248 for a 2012 macbook pro (non-retina) is good?

How did you make iPad a display?
It’s a built in feature.
If you go into Display settings you can choose another display in the bottom left.
If the iPad is connected it’ll show as another display.
@@Eevnos my macbook is a Macbook Pro 2015.
Hi, have you tried the universal control on this macbook with monterey? is it working?
I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro running the latest version of Monterey 12.3 and Universal Control works well!
@@drvoodoo3073
I have a macbook pro 2012 too and an imac mid 2011 and I want to use universal control between both. it works?
@@Maukbales Universal Control only works between a Mac and an iPad. Not between 2 Macs.
I wonder what the reasoning of Apple is to not officially support their older hardware, just to make people buy new macbooks?

Thinking about installing Monterey from Catalina on my 2012 i5 13 pro. Whats the thermals like? does it run hotter? Also what's the performance like compared to Catalina
You can go up to Ventura if you want.. I have a tutorial here if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/7sz0Red_HN4/видео.html
Thermals have been really good for me, although I have seen some people report they're having issues with that (on both Monterey and Ventura).
I have a feeling a lot of those people have not replaced the thermal paste though, so their colling system is not working at peak performance.
i never knew why apple makes us by new computers when the old ones cna run the new system that why i miss jobs
