In this video i show how i upgrade and maintain my old laptop from Apple Macbook pro which is already 11 years old.
the video was shot in the style of frame-by-frame(Stop Motion) animation with asmr elements.
I don't think people really appreciate how hard Stop-Action filming can be. Well done. Cheers!
I do
I'd give up before starting. It's not just hard it's frustrating.
Beautiful
funny video haha
especially when you’re doing an upgrade. i know that upgrading this kind of macbook is pretty simple but combining it with this kind of capturing is more than just a hard work!
This is not a tutorial, this is art
Exactly
Btw check my channel!
I make some stop motions too
Indeed!
This is art beyond art. The bast are ever.
Don't worry, it's just a video, and you want to take it home.

No Talking ✅
Easy to follow along ✅
Extremely Detailed ✅
Not pixelated ✅
Why can’t every tutorial video be like this?
Jewish music ✅
Because it's hard and that would defeat the purpose of the unique stop motion
The Editing was truly a master piece
Yeah
Because it's made on Xeon, together with Huananzhi х99 tf.
I've got a 2.7Ghz Quad i7 2012 non retina I bought in 2020 & did the same service. Pulled it completely apart, re-did the thermal paste on cpu/gpu, maxed out the ram, removed the optical drive & replaced it with a 2tb SSD, & replaced the boot drive with a 1tb SSD. Use it everyday & it works perfectly 👌
Where did you buy it? what is the max ram you can upgrade that model?
@@hotsaucenchicken09 16gb is max ram it can take
Why would you buy a 2012 laptop in 2020 tho, should have gotten a proper laptop
@@xeon39688 well that depends, these old macbooks are still good, if he bought it for 150-200 dollars, then its a great deal ngl i'd take that offer
@@hotsaucenchicken09 just on marketplace - took a while to find a good i7 model. Max ram is 15Gb
I've taken apart my 2012 MacBook pro a couple times...this is legit and better than some of the actual tutorials out there.
Okay… at first I thought the start of this video was just an intro… didn’t realize that the stop-motion went throughout the whole video. LOVED IT!!!
This format should be something that repair videos use. It's so easy to follow, I'm kinda disappointed that they don't.
@@natayawayThe Stop Motion is too hard
How long did this take to make this? the patience it took to do this is unimaginable
We want answer 😅
@@paritsharma314 OP no read comments. OP finishing stop-motion art.
11 years at least
In the title, “after 11 years”
Woah is it in the title?? Are you sure?
Editing a video in that way requires a LOT of time. My compliments for your great work.
The amount of time this guy spent on this video is insane
Superb animation. Great job. Best wishes to you and Ukraine. Thank you. Mike. UK
Stop motion also an animation?
@@BenitoiteBaTiSi yes (as a recent example, the new Pinocchio movie by Guillermo Del Toro is nominated as best animated film)
At this time, the battery was so easy to replace
Now, it’s a nightmare 😂
Super animation !!
I'd say that soldered Ram and storage are harder (impossible)
@Pickle Man the Legend I wonder how much an ssd + ram upgrade would cost - if you could find someone to do it. At this point Apple might as well weld the thing permanently shut.
He wasn't lazy, he made stop motion... Vov! 👏🏻👏🏻
This video is not just a video; it's like a work of art. It captivated me while I was watching it
Stop-Action is ondergewaardeerd. Dit filmpje is het beste bewijs. Prachtig initiatief. Ik geniet hier van.
The hings is spring loaded and lubricating it won't cause any harm to the mechanism. It will stop the creaking noise and make it work smoother. I have repaired many MacBooks in my days in IT and use either silicon based or lithium grease, doesn't take much. Once you remove the upper LCD assembly you can remove the plastic cover to expose the screws to tighten if needed and lubricate the hinge part.
OMG! This is the best animation I’ve ever seen in 50 years! And it’s excellent information! Keep it up! 3:58
This is not animation.
@@gauravawana66 so it's stop motion..... What?
Upgrading a Mac is next to impossible and stop animation is no easy thing. This video combines the two in a beautiful way. You are a genius sir
One of the best ‘fix-it’ videos I have seen in a while! Brilliantly done! Bravo.
The attention to detail in this video is amazing!
This is amazing! Apple would rule the tech world if they released videos like this
The best teardown video I've ever seen in my life ! So coooool
Vous êtes un artiste. Ce qui veut dire que vous maîtrisez la technique ( les techniques, même ! Le remplacement des pièces du Mac et celle de la vidéo) et que vous créez quelque chose de beau, de nouveau. Merci et bravo
Finally this vid could explain the theory of evolution
This was a LOT of work to do. Bravo!
Making it look so effortless should be declared a crime! :D
I love your stop motion animation!! Amazing work! Upgrading the CPU on those is not really possible…😢 But a new SSD and more RAM, plus a fresh battery pack are a nice upgrade if keyboard and screen are still in good shape.
You can replace cpus but the problem is it’s really expensive to upgrade soldered cpus and it’s not worth to upgrade, most people would just say to buy a new laptop or replace entire motherboard
tecnicaly is posible to upgrade the cpu to a i7 but is very hard to do and if someone do it mabe broke the motherboard
@@alonsodsoto4466 dosdude1 on RUclips will do it for you, for a fee. I wouldn't trust anyone else with something like this. I will always pick him. He does more than CPU upgrades. He also upgrades RAM on models with soldered on RAM modules as well as many other things.
Funny thing is they did have G2 and G3 sockets for Intel's laptop cpu's back in 2012 that allowed you to upgrade. I had a thinkpad W520 around this time that I upgraded the cpu in.
this stop motion is epic!!!! 🔥
Yeah
Mine are too...👆
This is great, last things to do if you want is upgrade the screen (if not already equipped), upgrade the wifi and bluetooth & update to the latest Mac OS via OpenCore. I can't speak for the lower models but if you have the 2.6GHz or 2.7GHz i7 it'll feel like an up to date machine.
Mine is the 2.7 quad i7...currently on Mojave but thinking of moving on to something newer
Impressed by the stop motion style, stressed out by the fact of not using a soft surface to protect the iconic Apple logo from scratching. But, who cares, maybe it has to many scratches on it already. Kudos for this hard work anyway.
give this man an oscar for editing
By the first minute, it's already been the coolest disassemble video I've ever seen. So well done, love it!!!
Now do one where you show all the internal upgrades you can do on the latest MacBooks!
That will be a quick one
I love the effect of the video... ad old cartoons
It's nice how the air upgraded the laptop
At least a year late, but this is mesmerising! I cannot begin to conceive how long this took to film. Lovely work. Thank you!
Love the effort that you put into the stopmotion process... Big like
if not everyone said it in the comments this editing is amazinggggg i wish all videos were like this
I’m impressed! I thought I was watching a Tim Burton computer upgrade film!! 😊
The amount of skill work and sweat that went into this video is praiseworthy!!!
I signed in on my new/old 11yo MacBook just to give this a like.
Did you just Davey and Goliath me?!? That brought back memories. Brilliant! I have an A1278 2012 and that's on the project list.
VIDEO EDITION ON THIS ONE IS LITERALLY GOOD LEVEL 🙌🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏👏👏👏
Man, what was this? So damn good! This video deserves 1M+ views tbh!
I just learnt so much and nothing from this thank you and thank you for the pleasant stop motion on my eye holes you deserve so much praise for the stop motion the amount of patience you have 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 bravo
This was so satisfying to watch. Don’t know how you did it. But this is amazing.
It's easy when the parts do all the work themselves!
This is s work of art, it reminded me of Wallace and Gromit 😊
That's simply the most clear way to show how to do repairs on laptop computers. And I don't even have one. 🙌
This is top tier cinema 😍
Wow. Just wow. I am not a prolific commenter but I agree: this is art. It’s also unbelievably helpful. I only came here for the help and I got Arrdman! Thank you for the help and the joy. 😊
reminds me of a kids show I used to watch!
This is actually really helpful when taking apart a Macbook and knowing which screws are which
this video deserves more views and likes
A lot of time put into this masterpiece, excellent video👍🏻
bro made a piece of art and thought we were not gonna notice it
Apart from the tutorial, this is so therpeutic to look at. I am at ease. 😊
An artful win against planned obsolescence! I cannot imagine the 'pain' during the making process.
Esta genial forma como edita sin mano es como magia
I just gotta respect the effort. I bet finishing making the video felt great.
That stop motion is really cool
This video is absolutely ridiculous...I love it.
What a fantastic video...I laughed my ass off !!!
ohhhh stop motion. what an old day 😂❤
The creativity used for animation is fascinating :D
This is so good to view, this stop Motion way to show this upgrade made my day, thanks
Props to the hard work that went into making this video
Nice animation, i was surprised for a sec bc i thought u can upgrade the Core
U can, u need to replace the motherboard.
Best Mac upgrade. Thanks.
This is brilliant!
Wow, loved this.
I know this machine inside out, and I think it’s so fun to see its internal components represented like this.
I don't own a Mac, but you got my like for the stop motion animation ;)
That’s a great video. Excellent work.
WTF. Apple MacBook Pro 💻 video of 2022. Artistic and creative imagery 🏆
I had to leaves comment just to appreciate the time and effort that went into this video 🙌🙌
Bro just came here to see a generic tutorial, and I leave with a Masterpiece. Awesome job!
A lot of work to do this. My respects.
That song suits video very well 😁

I came for the info, but stayed (flabbergasted) for the video itself. wow!
Wow. Beautiful animation. Love this.
I know right? I really enjoyed watching this as I’ve taken Mac laptops apart many a times. Love the spinning processors!
Amazing stop motion! Well done!
