The irony of the Mario Party “streamlining” is the games are dragging out every little thing that happens. Super Mario Party is dragged down hard by it. Buy a star, recap the standings and the star spot moves verrrry slowly to the next spot. Steal a star, recap the standings. Unnecessary flourishes with damn near everything. 20turn games used to take 60 to 90 minutes now 10 turn games can take that long.

Hey, just letting you know Tortimer does randomly let you build one little rope bridge in the game. He'll be wandering town next to a river and if you talk to him he'll ask you if it's a good spot. You can say you'll sleep on it and he'll be at another random river square.
Oh my god, I remember time traveling. I don't remember why it was done, but I remember some weird ass shit goin down when you played around with it too much.
Tiem traveling is to skip waiting for stuff. Animal crossing progresses with IRL time. Like if you wanted to do the christmas event, you had to wait until christmas IRL. But you can change the games clock to time travel to that date instead. Nothing bad happens if you do it, villagers might move without you realizing it or weeds will grow if you go too far ahead because the game thinks you didnt play for months, but other then that theres no harm
Money trees are a thing in the game. And golden shovels from my memory allow you to plant more money trees without the golden hole- but I don't see any mention of that online so that might be a lie from my young mind at a time.
