My Shih Tzu is 13 and his eyesight has almost completely failed. Otherwise, he's happy and healthy, I just have to be his eyes. I started him on Triphala about a month and a half ago and I can see a small amount of improvement in his vision. I can tell he can see movement he couldn't see previously. I'm thrilled with the result.
Thank you Dr. Jones & Tula!

Now it's 2 months of Triphala and he's doing very well. He can see well enough so he navigates his big fenced in yard by himself again. Not going to say his vision is restored because it isn't but he can see well enough to be independent again. Thank you!

    • @martyrose
      @martyrose Месяц назад +5

Month 3 of Triphala. My boy is now flying off the top step of the porch and going to his business spot by himself. He then travels 100 yards or so to the spot where he likes to roll in the grass. He'll spend 20 minutes or so just exploring which is a huge improvement. When he's finished with his exploration, he can now find his way back to the porch and to the door. This is a fantastic improvement in his vision.
He still can't manage darkness and a flashlight. Even if the light beam is directed away from him, it's still blinding.
He does all of this by himself inside of a securely fenced area of half to a full acre. I don't leave him unsupervised. I'm always watching in case anyone is curious.
Triphala has made an improvement in his vision I could only have hoped for.
Thank you again Dr. Jones & Tula! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

    • @martyrose

@@pursuitsacademy5732 Thanks. I'm happy someone is finding this useful. There's so much misinformation online I thought someone might like to know that Dr. Jones is correct.
My Shih Tzu continues to improve. When I walk around him his eyes now follow me so I know he can see again, I 'm just not sure how much.
Here he has about a fenced acre and he had completely stopped exploring the property without me. We developed this duck walk type of situation where he would walk between my feet. I don't want to carry him everywhere so he walked between my feet. We don't do that anymore. He's regained enough of his vision so he can navigate about half of the property by himself. He hasn't gone to the end alone in a while but that's also probably due to the fact that it's too hot to go outside. He's doing much better than I expected he ever would. He's very happy.
I wish you well with your journey. If I haven't said, he's very large for his breed, 40 pounds, not overweight, just big. I give him half of a 500 mg caplet. I crush it and put it in his food daily. I hope this works as well for you as it has for us.

I know personally for dry eyes, I used Castor Oil (make sure it's Organic and Hexane Free). My eyelids were sticking to my eyeball and it was painful as well as my eyes were just so dry. I watched a video here on youtube and a lady Opthamologist was talking about using the castor oil. I put a drop in each of my eyes before bedtime for 3 months; and I have no more dry eyes. Since using it for dry eyes, I've realized the castor oil was really meant for cataracts. :)

TY Dr.Jones our boy is an akita mix-male 13 yr old and lst summer was stung by a bee on his left eye and it was very inflamed. Went to the Vet he said he could take the eye OUT. I freaked out on the guy and left went home and used some green tea bags and eye drops from another Vet and the swelling went away and looked better but his vision wasnt there much and his eye looked cloudy. This morning his good eye was cloudy too and he was stumbling and bumping into things. we cleared the house and made it safer, I took him out for his buisness and he stood still for along time-I cried why. So I came in and looked you up and another Vet i watch and it seems its possibly diaabetis related. I will try the remedies you said and try and do my best to care more for him as he is my life and now i am his. Were both seniors and it seems were destined to live out our lives carefully as a team. I might look into another dog for help but not right away i will be his eyes for now. Love you man for what you have done and keep doing online Bless you as you go on with your studies and life. Thank you for the valuable advice I am surely going to start my 16y old little dog on these supplements. I have been putting N-Acetyl Carnosine eye drops on his very advanced cataracts and the results are amazing, within a very short time (about 2 weeks into the treatment the cataracts that covered almost one entire eye and part of the other have shrank to almost half, what is left is no longer milky thick but rather a translucent cataract. He has better vision now, I am so happy with the results, I get the eye drops made up by a compounding pharmacy because NAC eye drops are no longer available online for some reason they have been discontinued in Australia. I have also been using same drops for my own eyes and the results are amazing it is even getting rid of my eye floaters.

It maybe hard to get into some fiesty dog eyes but my friend who does alternative therapies started using sage honey in her eyes. knowing her teacher used and prevented cataract surgery years ago. I one day noticed her eyes looked so clear and open asking if she started doing. Said she had! I freaked thinking how bad it’d sting. So she adds saline first then the honey. First time on my life the whites of my eyes were white and my far vision 100% better. Near better but not as good as a kid after one treatment. I’m excited to keep this up. Only stings a few seconds then feels soothing as you feel it go behind the eye. Just keep wet clothe near to wipe off what pours out corner. No more blurriness either. I’m so shocked.

I’ve heard that if you use one drop of lemon juice in the morning and then a drop of honey at night before you go to bed for 30 days that it will completely heal Cataracts.
I heard it restores your natural ph in your eyes.

@Dr. Jones, I need your expert opinion. My dog just came from the vet a couple of hours ago... he had his annual exam, as well as he has a yellow mucus coming from his nose. The vet prescribed Clavaseptin 62.5 mg and Benadryl 25 mg. I was very hesitant to put him on antibiotics, but he has the mucus coming from his nostril (yellow in color) over 3 months, and nothing I tried including changing jis diet seems to clear it up. The vet ordered a blood test which was very expensive. What do you think about these meds? And do you think the blood work will help to show what's happening with my dog?
The vet also said he has cataracts, so I will try one of the remedies you mentioned in this video. Thank you for all you do to support pet owners ❤️

Really enjoy your channel doc.. is there a connection with cataracts and blepharitis more often than dogs without cataract? Also what’s the main underlying allergy that causes blepharitis? Is it dust or his fur or grain allergy? 🤷‍♀️I’m wondering bc my 13 yr old Jack Russell Buck has blepharitis ☹️😢.. the vet said he’s got cataracts as well..I wish you were in my area to bring Buck in.. I tried the camomile tea and warm compresses for his eyes. I’m trying to figure out the underlying cause an have not found any literature saying what the allergy could be besides an underlying allergy.... is it his fur? Household dust? He doesn’t get any grain and I pretty much make his food. If I can figure out what allergy causes it in most dogs, i can do something about it for him. Regular dusting doesn’t seem to be enough to stop the blepharitis.. I’ll keep warm compresses till it clears up. Unless I’m supposed to get medicine for him every month to control it? Bc so far the meds didn’t clear it up... Thanks for your time Doc. I enjoy your channel much and you actually inspired me to keep making Bucks food.. 🙏 much appreciated..
