I grew up in Ft Lauderdale in the 90s. That's one of the reasons I like the band, pure nostalgia. I remember all of this. They lost a lot when Scott left the band, he really was the creative force behind them. Their first album was the best one.
I always found it impressive that Pogo had literally zero experience with synths, samplers and such before joining - Especially because ive always found him to be a super underrated part of Manson's early sound. I've always felt the band lost a lot of it's atmosphere after Holy Wood (Pogo technically was around for Golden Age, but didnt take part in the recording. I think Tim Skold did the synths). Pogo may not have had formal training, but his synth, sampling and tape loop work was amazing.
@@rockowilson2320 yes but he said original not awesome...by the time john5 came in he was playing a large list of already conceived songs some of what were Scott's originals
Thank you all for the feedback on the video it was my first time trying to properly edit and compile while restoring the original vid quality. A fitting tribute to a true artist!
Yeah he really was. Scott was the only one in the band that was a proper musician while everyone else just played an instrument during the Spooky Kids. Manson and Berkowitz' ideas were perfect for eachother at the time. Sadly they both wanted different things, both musically and their lifestyles
hear things differently ! I've said for 30 years that any concert you go to has two different concerts at the same time , LSD or no LSD the choice is yours, when he said that I truly felt what he was saying and its very true , I haven't took any in 20 years but have to say I miss it .
He was my idol growing up.him and Gigit.when Daisy left Manson,I left Manson.i love Antichrist,it's a masterpiece, but Daisy wrote half the music on that!!RIP Scott..
"Half of the music on it" is a real overstatement. He has songwriting credits on 5 songs, all of which along with someone else, mostly Twiggy and/or Pogo. One (1996) with Gidget. Riff-wise, Antichrist is mostly Twiggy's baby. One thing I'd say for Scott is that his guitar parts on Tourniquet are absolutely fantastic.
tourniquet is the stone cold banger on that album. didn’t know that airy guitar stuff was him.. makes sense! he was the best. and thank god also for twiggy to take over the helm for the bulk of that album. one of the best
Ok I'm confused what are you throwing out there? Just cause I see it doesn't mean I can always read it kinda like playing a new game before reading the directions ya know like how you gonna know how many times to roll the dice or who's turn it is etc
That was interesting thanks. It's sad that Brian decided to kinda ditch Daisy like that without saying everything directly how it is. Would be interesting to hear pre-Reznor Portrait and all the unreleased songs
Hi man yeah you can find a full compiled vid on RUclips. I think with all of the family album material all alternatively mixed without Trent from what I am aware this mic also features a cut track called Filth, you can also find the spooky kids CD in some places commissioned I think by Daisy which has a lot of demo tracks that never made it to portrait :)
👿🔱😈..i wish he would have stayed as the guitar player longer...i always thought he was a unique player.. I remember the first time i heard them when i watched the get your gun video.. I was like 😳 o wtf is this
agree, HW was their last good work, with ACSS, MA and HW being veeeery enjoyable but not like Portrait or SLC, at least for me. That's because after ACSS they stopped feeling like a band and became Brian centered
You need to put sentences together a bit better but, i think you're alluding to the scars around his mouth. Looks like its just acne scaring from a teenager. The scarring goes away when you're in your 20's but can come back in later years. @@user-hk2lz9fu4h

Daisy was our best guitarist hands down in my eyes!.. r.I.p to a legend 😔🙏🙏🙏✋✌️

yes he was a sicko wacko
So happy he had closure with Pogo, Twiggy, Ginger, and Manson before he passed away
How so?
maybe Ginger and Pogo. not Manson.
Yes, sadly manson never reached out to Daisy before Daisy passed away. But John5 was kind enough to reach out to daisy via text/ phone.
@@rlucy926 Manson did he was at his funeral… 🤷🏻♂️
This guy is probably the most original guitarist marilyn manson had.

I heard the "Portrait of an American Family" version he's talking about and I agree with what he said

His guitar work was very 60s psychedelic Jimi Hendrix sounding I’m surprised he never worked with rob zombie
Thanks for compiling these. It makes a lot more sense this way- I have no clue why the original channel didn’t post the full interview.

Loved his songwriting and guitar playing.
Seemed a very likeable guy.
He definitely had a signature guitar 🎸 sound and one of my favorite guitar players in my top ten and talented guy. Rip brother ❤

Loved this!!!

I think the drugs and the fame were the downfall of the band especially Manson..
What blew up in his face? Dunno him or not but somebody was doing something and it blew up in their face causing scaring? Who is that?

He was the bassist for MM from 1990 to 1993. He had a bad heroin addiction which is why the band fired him.
